g9350 Kernels - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

As the title suggest, why is there little to none custom kernels for this device.
I've been trying to find custom roms and kernels around but there's just little love for this phone variant, is there a specific reason for this?
and would someone recommend me a good stock kernel that could give a huge performance boost, mainly for gaming.
thanks in advance

I think those are included with the custom rom itself just check for snapdragon roms and kernels.

Tab kernel updates?

I would really like to see a few more custom kernels made for the GSM USA tablets. I know guys make them and work on them for free and on their own time, but it seems that these kernels have come to a complete stop. I have used MoDaCo custom kernel and was very impressed. I hope to see some more.
Thanks to all who make these ROMS and kernels.

Need some more info.

I see on this site about flashing new roms, the 3.1 android and others and the Kernel.
Is their 2 different rom chips one for the kernel and one for the OS..?
When I flash a custom rom does that change the Kernel or do they have to be flashed seperate.
Is there certain custom roms that have both..?
When getting a custom rom do I need to get a new Kernel..
Do the custom roms have both, Little fuzzy here..?
Thanks for the info.

Kernel and Rom are 2 separate flash...
most custom rom dev already takes care of the kernel for you with their custom roms ( kernel built in ... 1 flash takes care of both )...
but if you're interested in flashing a custom kernel... just make sure about its compatibility with various roms.
read thoroughly in custom rom & kernel's threads 1st post... they usually let you know what's the requirements are...etc
Thanks so much, that clears my mind and makes things much easier.

[Q] Rom and Kernel choise

Hello,
A long time a go i had a s3, with several roms, especialy to downscale the processor, customizing and for better battery life.
after all the knox **** and some phone's further, i now have a s5
which kernel + rom do you prefer and why?
is there a thread where all the roms and kernels are compared?
already much thanks for your help

on xda you're not allowed to make a thread on which roms the best or which kernel is the best but i would say stay on stock kernel and use a custom firmware thats not too bloated. flash a kernel if you need to change android se to be permissive or you need the extra battery train most roms come with their own kernel anyway

Stock kernel Vs custom

Just curious on why stock kernel performs so much better in gaming compared to any custom kernel I've tried.
Anyone else had the same experience?
Probably because custom ROMs don't have the same drivers for video and camera.
And also because a lot of the custom ROMs have a lot of shiny bloat in them that slows the phone.

custom roms

hello guys. i founded this thread for custom roms; as u see is having some custom roms for this model phone. i couldnt try to see if thats work bcs i dont have the phone yet. so, if u want to flash some of them, try and tell us
In my opinion, these custom roms have to be refined, for example optimizations should be improved and a touch driver should be better. But how is it even good.
AOSP extended is a good rom!
various ROMs
