The Airtel Network (GSM) on my USA unlocked LG G7's reception signal works nicely even at weak areas. 4G LTE speed sometimes work awesomely even less than 1 bar. Love the LG G7!

I have noted no regression from my P9 Plus, all connectivity and throughput works just fine. Compared LTE network(4G) speed with a friend who has Galaxy S9, we had identical downspeed being in the same place at the same time. 80Mbit/s at the edge of the city, the G7 had slightly faster upspeed of 56Mbit/s vs 50 flat for the S9.

Noticed that i always get 4g signal whenever i go to my work. Which is unusual for my previous iphone. Great cellular strength!

My sprint g7 thinq lte is almost non existent

My Sprint phone, shows LTE all the time. But doesn't mean it actually has it..

My theory is that the flat ribbon signal wires on this phone are not as good as your conventional antennee wires you see in any other phone.

not so good, now i'm with a sony z1 compact because my lg is at service, the sony have 1/2 bars of signal where the lg g7 have no signal

not really seeing much of an improvement in signal strength over the lg g4, doesnt seem to hold 4g or lte any longer when going inside concrete buildings or going further out to camping grounds where i may get no signal. only throughput seems improved able to pull 170mb dl compared to g4 80-90mb dl from the apartment

I have issue with network connectivity. Getting less network for Jio sim and pathetic speed

Ive been on T-Mobile US for years. I've had several Chinese phones of supposed less quality and yet all of them run circles around the T-Mobile LG G7. Wifi works only half the time. Having issues watching videos on youtube connected to the wifi. I thought it was just my router, but it happens at any wireless router I connect to. I was getting better reception on the chinese phones inside and outside of my house!! Needless to say I will never get another LG phone again!!

Yep and LG Fanboys think it's the greatest phone on the planet.

I plan on switching out to a Oukitel K9 or Ulefone Power 6. Going back to reliable phones!

My G7 thinq have so bitter network. I'm getting very slow internet speed & very fewer bars on the screen where I've Nextbit Robin, Mi Note 6 Pro & iPhone 5 SE which works very fine on same network & getting more network bars than my phone.

On the best network in the middle of the city or town centers, I'm getting 2-4 bars. But as soon as I enter a building it can go 1-2. I feel it's not great. I can call, but 4G doesn't move. Falls back to H, 3G and can't even load a website
I wonder if this is an LG thing. I've owned the G3,4,6. I always end up with LG, as galaxy too exp, and LG has the best mix of value. At home I can't get 4G inside the house.
Her Galaxy seems half-1 bar better.

Coming from a UK unlocked Xperia XZ premium, this phone has amazing reception. With other Tmo devices (HTC10), there have been a few known dead zones in my commute, but the Z2 never drops connection. Traditionally my home is 2 bars max... Z2 has full bars on 4G.
Definitely glad I picked up the Z2. Motos have always been good at antenna / reception, and this device is no different.

So far it's receiving signal better than my old 950xl and a s8. Noticeable difference as I have my work mapped out mentally as to where signal sucks(I thought) and where it's good.
10-20% signals on both previous phones at my desk, now it's a solid 60% WITH lte+ vs the others were always hopping between lte and 3g.
Mine appears to have a better signal then my older HTC and S8 plus.. Not to mention the GPS on Waze while on my S8 plus would sometimes be off and move around, so far my Razer has been perfect.
I am having in call issues. I am using Virgin Mobile on my Razer phone and one of my friend uses koodo on his one plus 5t.when on call I can hear him fine but he cannot hare me. He is the only person I have faced this issue with and same is for him. Not sure what the problem could be. Any thoughts.
Appears to be fine. I live in a remote area where coverage is scarce.

Like a freaking BoSS...
At my in-laws place, the network is so weak that with all my earlier phones, be it MiA1 or G6 or U11, I had to go outside to make a call that too at a particular place.
And FORGET about using Mobile data ever.
But then comes Nokia 7 Plus...
I call people from anywhere and everywhere...
I watched Chelsea vs Huddersfield live on Hotstar streaming.
While others suffered with their mobiles...
Freaking BAWSE
I would say that it is awesome. As a comparison my wife and I are on the same network and both of us had the same LTE network bands.
At times my wife's Mate 10 lite / nova 2i would lose signal and mine will still have excellent LTE signal.
But there's only one complaint is that the phone, despite of me selecting manual network, it will then change back to other network. ( I received 2 bands of LTE network at my place one is faster than the other and both have strog signal but it will always go back to the slower one).
Easily goes into 4G+ mode and hence, higher speeds.

Does anyone nokia 7 plus heat up during weak coverage...mine get extremely warm to 45C when coverage is very weak.

That's normal for most if not all phones. To avoid this try locking into a single network like 3G only if 4G is weak
Great signal quality and coverage here as well.
Like some phones( sony and samsung for example) it heats up a bit and use a lot of battery during low signal quality.

This may be an issue of the P3 having 600 and 700 MHz band support, but I get full LTE coverage in my office in a high-rise building where my Nexus 6 used to cut out on T-mobile. Nice improvement.
I can confirm that it is bellow the P20 in this category.
But nothing serious. Will compare further if I get the chance.
it's good, no complaints here. then again i live in the netherlands which has a full lte coverage.
Only a handful of countries/networks have CA combinations defined for them.
3x CA LTE-A works on those that are defined, otherwise you will stay on 2x CA max.
4x CA is only defined in a few MBNs (Vodafone DE and some French ones seem to be the only ones in Europe).
2x CA on uplink is not supported.
Here is a list for CA combinations on the Pixel 3/XL.

Otherwise 256QAM and 4x4 MIMO work fine. Reception wise its ok too.
It is however not the phone you would use if you wanted to go hunting for 1gbit LTE.
Hi guys not much info in here.. Did some research and turns out Pixel 3 phones are notorious for poor signal and call quality. Looking at how long the issue has been around for I'd put it down to actual hardware not being up to scratch. If you need a phone with good reception and/or make calls frequently then give this one a miss.
I cant post links for some reason? but look at issue 124412355 on google issue tracker
Seems fine with no major issues. Haven't had any dropped calls. Used the Essential Phone for a while and this is quite good compared to that phone with weekly dropped calls.

5g on this phone is trash
I have had this phone for over a month now. I have to say that the network speed on this phone is complete trash.
5G is worse then LTE on other phones.
Here is a screenshot of the S20 FE 5G next to a Tab A, Both from Tmobile, same room.
I disagree... Best antenna I've ever experienced. Beats out the pixel 3a xl, s8, v20, etc.
Speeds I achieved in rural WV...

I'm having an even more severe issue at 7.93 down and 0.21 upload. Making the phone almost unusable when not on wifi. Been troubleshooting with Sprint/T-Moble for a couple of weeks now.
Yeah I wish there was a way to lock out "5G" truly it's worse everyday speeds vs ny one plus 7 pro one Verizon. Not too happy about that at all. I'll stick with 4g lte+ over this slow fake 5g

it is fine for me it might be your ISP throttling your speed
look at this
my understanding as of this week is that there are 3 types of 5G connections / infrastructure. it looks like you are on a mmwave connection @isamahdi which gives the great speeds but requires you to be very close to a tower. the other two types are low band and mid band. low band gives much slower speeds (100 to 200 mbps) but travels much further and mid band is the half way house between the two extremes.
different networks are rolling different versions of 5G.
some people might receive rubbish speeds because the available bandwidth is split between all users until more towers are put up, bit like all being on one Wi-Fi network.
experiences will vary wildly depending on network types, distance and infrastructure work completed before we even get to account for the phone itself.
My S20 FE 5G is really less good at hooking up weak signals in WiFi, 4G and 5G than my Oneplus 8T
