Using it on Verizon, it works great as a communications device. I've had almost zero problems with it getting a good signal except in places where I knew I wasn't going to get one anyways. It really does keep up Motorola's reputation for strong radios.
No issues here. The phone has a great signal quality. Data works great even in low signal areas and is a dependable phone even in travel.

Call quality is fine if enhanced calling feature is off else calls become choppy. I have been missing a lot of call lately and most of the time people complaint that my phone was out of coverage area. This happens everywhere be it work or home.

How is it in this phone?

Seems pretty good to me. And built in WiFi calling now works with this phone for when signal is bad. Speed test attached, although this is more network dependent than the phone, it's the fastest I've had.

My family Best phone on this thing so far.
Only Huawei P9 is a challenger but comparing the emissions I would prefer the Sony one.

Bought MI 8 from Gearbest. Some ads can be turned off. Google "how to turn ads off in Xiaomi phones".
Seems to be working for me fine in Chicago using Mint Mobile. (mvn of T-mob)

I use the phone with two sim cards, one of them is only for internet.
My plan is 20GB at unlimited speed/month and I have almost finished them for this month. The signal coverage for 4G at my region is not all that great but it`s there for most of the time. I have no problems with constant streaming of fullHD videos. There is no dropout even if I get in the basement. (I live in concrete building)
The main sim card for calls is other story, mainly because of the sh***y signal from the operator. The phone manage great even in the times the signal drops to 2G but there is tangible difference in call quality.
So have one in mind if you plan to buy and use this model in zones with very bad signal.
