Probably my biggest gripe with this phone. Those buttons! What in god's name happened there? They float about, feel light and give rather limp clicky feedback. This is one area where my HTC 10 mullers the Nokia. I'd extent that to the monoblock alloy body where HTC is king (or was ?).
Edit
Plus the placement is a bit on the high side.

Nothing wrong with my buttons. You may have a faulty device.

Not faulty just not great in my opinion, which I'm entitled to, as are you.
my Nokia 8 buttons are hard to press, with or without case

Maybe it`s too soon for this post but after month of use I think I can tell some info. I have used it naked for the first 10 days after I bought it and I didn`t experienced any problems.
But because of the glass back I got hard shell for it so the only thing I care about now is the state of everything but the outside frame and the glass back.
And I`m happy to report that the phone works perfect.
I love the tactile feel of the physical buttons.
The touchscreen is perfect and works precisely with my super dry skin as many other phones doesn`t even detect my fingers. My skin is so dry that I don`t left fingerprints on the screen for 99% of the time I`m using it.
With that being said I have read numerous comments about quality of the frame - specifically for the paint. It`s polycarbonate and apparently get easily scratched.
This was the reason why I chose black color. But with my hard shell on top of it doesn`t matter anymore for me so yeah.

I have to disagree. I am coming from LG G7. That hollow sound has to do with Boombox speaker bass reflex empty housing beneath the back glass cover. Same as on G7 Thinq.
Just got it and inboxes. Incoming opinions. First impressions : THIS PHONE HAS SUPER QUALITY! 3 types of NFC - credit card clonning for payments on every single POS, insane cameras, insane camera software, video portraits, insane hapric feedback, insane display, insane back cover design, insane battery, insane front cameras, slow motion, live in YouTube from camera software, and many many more. TV app that let's you scan TV posts just like radio app. Hdmi support. Insane Amp. 50ohm impedance mode not a problem even with my 37ohm headphones. Another league over g7 or g8. Never tought this.

actually yes, I use my phone on work and usually carry it in a leg pocket for quick access and to avoid bending it. but unfortunately, I can't avoid that 100%, and more than once my phone would have snapped without a sturdy frame.
but good for you to enjoy your new phone, just dont forget it in your pants (back) pocket.

This is a 1st day review for the 4GB/64GB variant, so hold on a bit for more updates!
Let's talk about Quality!
The phone is pretty big considering the ₹8000 price range. Sits well with the hand though!
When it comes to the body, I would say it's okish as it has one minor design flaw! I noticed one: The sim tray goes a bit deeper than the actual body which isn't visually noticable!
Other than that it feels pretty fine with the (gradient variant) back design language.
The build material seems solid too, being a single back panel which extends to the sides (making it more rigid)!
The speaker placement is odd for me, but good for gamers who play in landscape mode eventually blocking the sound if it were a down firing one!
