Hi,
I am having one weird issue with skype app installed on P9 lite. Whenever there is a new chat, I receive the chat notification banner both on lock screen and notification panel but there is no ringtone and vibration. I have tried many things like, uninstalling-reinstalling, clearing app data, settings change but nothing works.
The strange thing is that when I receive a call on skype, the vibration and ringtone works fine. The problem is only with the chat notification ringtone. All the other apps are producing the ringtones perfectly fine.
Does anyone else had the similar issue?

I have a very odd problem with my phone: sometimes the notification sounds don't play when I get messages
This happens only on Whatsapp, SMS (stock app), Hangouts, etc... but when I get calls it works normally - also I can't reproduce the problem on my own so I can't figure out what triggers it.
Both the notification and ringer volumes are attached so there is no way I can reduce only one
I'm running stock 4.4.2 android

As the title suggest, am having issues w/ whatsapp not respecting DND, in that audio + vibration notifications continue through DND hours. these alerts come from messages sent by both favorite and non-favorite contacts. my DND settings is:
type: custom
repeat callers: allow
calls from: contacts only
messages from: none
events/task alert: off
reminders: off
priority app notification: none (definitely not whatsapp)
am on the latest version of whatsapp but have had this problem on earlier versions as well. anyone else encounter this problem?
Having the same issue.. And Facebook messenger aswell. Can't understand why these apps force to work around this...
Edit: Sorted. I had in DND settings allowed custom notifications, but had the message from favorites aswell turned on that was causing the issue in whatapp and messenger. Turning off for messages (but left for calls) it seemed to sort it out

Somehow my missed calls, new text messages or also skype do not appear in the notifications, even though I did activate the skype notifications. I could not find any setting for the phone/text messages.
It works well for FB-messages, whats app and other apps.
Does anybody have an idea why?
Since abt 5-6 years I have been using Business Calendar 2 app for setting up reminders for events & tasks.
But in Mi A1 the notification tone does not sound up. Phone vibrates & the reminder pops up if the relevant setting in BC2 is enabled. This issue is existing since the day i bought it.
I tried several other apps like DigiCal, Calengoo, aCalendar.... But still no notification sound.
Notification tone works perfectly in Gmail, WhatsApp, Sms..
What could be the solution ?? Is this happening with others too ??
Mods pls delete this thread. Notification was blocked in app settings. Issue is now resolved.
I received new LeEco Le Pro 3 AI (X651/653) few weeks ago and all working good, except some notification tones.
Viber, Whatsapp, Email tones often I can not hear, before manually starting this application.
Also I can not install any "Missed call reminder" app, because it can not work properly (not notification tone).
Do you have any idea how to solve problem?

Can you provide more details about what version rom you have installed and kernel? It sound like a permissions issue or when you attempted to install custom notification sounds the phone is looking for the sound in the wrong folder.
Have you performed a factory reset?
