Its a fully working ROM just based on h2os for optimization and bugs fixing what's not working is quoted in OP version soon..its just beta with all things working ..

Kind of, there's a bit more.. The H2os base is just to make it boot and run on our phone, the rest is MIUI.. Even Cyanogen uses a similar formula, each device has its core base and "Cyanogen" put on top..

This ROM could have big potential if frequently updated. Always wanted MIUI ROM, but X_s port (from MIUI site) with android 4.4.4. version was turn off. BTW @Dhairya is it based on official MIUI global or Chinese port?

Introduction
MIUI (which stands for Mi User Interface and pronounced "Me You I", a play on the common abbreviation of the words user interface as UI), developed by Xiaomi, is a stock and aftermarket firmware for smartphones and tablet computers based on the Google Android operating system. NOTE: This rom is based on latest Miui 10 China beta. Also i'm not the developer of this rom. Sharing the work here in XDA with permissions. Full credits to chinese developer HitoLiu
Disclaimer: This ROM is in beta testing for Android Oreo 8.1, so my not be stable for daily use and there may be some unknown bugs. Me or the developer is not responsible for any damage to your device or your data

Download (after flashing, boot takes time, dont panic!)

Installation
Before you flash this ROM, you need to remove any pin/password you have set in your previous ROM, or after booting you will get a black screen with the Chinese text.
1. Boot into TWRP recovery
2. Wipe System, Data, Cache & Dalvik
3. Go to Mount and uncheck System
4. Flash the latest OOS stable modem-firmware zip
5. Flash the MIUI 10 ROM and your desired root package
6. Wipe Cache & Dalvik and reboot
If you want to get rid of the useless chinese apps, just root and freeze the apps using titanium backup (do not delete as it will end in bootloop)

Sure but there is not any original tread of it.

My review of this rom
1. Boots pretty fast
2. UI is smooth and fluid
3. VOLTE works out of the box. It doesn't show VOLTE icon but it works
3 There is no fingerprint support. Doesn't even show fingerprint in settings (i have FPC)
4. Camera works for pics but video recording doesn't work. Shows error camera not found when you try to record. I didn't try 3rd party apps.
5. No sound in calls
6. Most stuffs are in chinese. left panel on homescreen is entirely in chinese
7 No gesture support
I tried flashing agni kernal but found same issues.

Volte not work in my case.
At first boot it works but after reboot it doesn't work.

3.Fingerprint doesn't work after soft reboot/fast reboot so use full reboot
4.Third party camera work perfect
5.Calling work perfectly for me
6.Rom is chaina beta so most things are in Chinese
7.Gesture may work by disabling hardware keys.

Better thing is wait till end of july as Mi Max is getting global miui10 by end of july so we can get global port which might have no or less bugs and can be use as daily driver.

im Using AOSiP Now, But Tested on All Android Pie Custom ROMs...

This is the best one for me MGC_6.1.021_xcam_5_beta14.apk.
Slow Mo is dark, front camera works only if it is set to YUV, but everything else is with the best quality. I am on an EU room, rooted with Magisk

For me best camera is like on screen. Works perfectly on miui 10, works all with dual camera, optical zoom and boken dual camera affect portair. Only bug : front camera crash often, back camera works perfectly with optical zoom and boken

and no root (I dont think I want rood, because of banking apps I use)
Is it possbile to install without root?

Yes, is possibile without root:
-unlock the bootloarder
-install twrp with a good file manager that run from It
-from the file manager (run from twrp) mod the buildprop file to permit camera 3 api
-install the gcam from normal android system

can this be installed on MIUI 11 pie?

Youtube videos show the answer is no. That's unfortunate. Not sure why Xiaomi insists on keeping it disabled...

How can I install it? my xiaomi is not rooted and it's MIUI Global 10.2 Stable.

im trying this new android 9 rom now.And there is no huge differences on this rom.Some problems has gone..Like (whatsapp video recorder low voice quality problem,When i play games,notch not match at the top screen etc etc .)And again.there is no huge differences.Performance still good.Sometimes phone lagging and UI not smooth.I'm not tested battery yet..When i test it,i send the screenshots about SoT.

It isn't possible to manually activate Cam2API on Redmi Note 6 Pro at this moment with ADB commands.
The issue seems to be broader than just Android Pie (Beta 9.3.11) version as reported in the Xiaomi Global Forum, activation also doesn't work anymore in the latest Android Oreo versions (Stable 10.2.2.0 & Beta 9.3.1)

actually you need these in your build.prop
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
persist.camera.eis.enable=1

Understood, what I meant, is that it's not working if we try to do this without root

Already tested and didn't worked either on Redmi Note 6 Pro (Beta Nightly 9.3.14).

With Batik Recovery Hal3 enabled working good with 9.3.14

use other TWRP versions such as PItchBlack RECOVERY or TWRP 3.2.3-2 by ATG Droid.works like a charm.

u can activate camera2api with twrp recovery but there is a problem.İm testing now android 9.0.everyweek phone updating and bugs fixing.but now i cannot update my phone.otherdays when i install any zip file with twrp recovery,phone deletes recovery.but there is a new system update(weekly) comes to my phone.i cannot install it.Directly going twrp recovery.im install now android 9 test zip again and then gonna try new update.And ofcorse camera2api feature goes off automaticklly.
