Media Volume Sync & Powerbeats3 issue after OREO update - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

Good evening all,
I have a stock GS8 Active.
While running stock Nougat, I had paired my PowerBeats3 BT earbuds.
I was able to use the Media Volume Sync feature under the BT menu.
Worked great.
After the Oreo update, Media Volume Sync doesn't work.
I've reset the earbuds. Power cycled the phone. UnPaired and RePaired the earbuds to the phone.
Nothing seems to work. I've seen posts elsewhere about Media Volume Sync issues, but nothing related to Oreo.
Anyone else have this issue?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] volume always resets + headphones not recognized

I have two issues with my Nexus 4. I searched google and the forums for these issues and couldn't find anything related. I am running stock 4.2.1 with root.
Issue 1: My volume always resets. I use the volume rocker or go to settings and mute all the sounds on my phone. As soon as I get either a notification or a call (something that would produce a sound) the volumes are back at their stock positions. I have no apps installed that mess with volume or any kind of 'do not disturb' type apps. I use the stock Messaging and GMail apps. This is very annoying because I can't just put my phone on silent and expect that it will stay there. So I have to power my phone off while I'm at the movies, meetings, etc. Anyone else experiencing this or have an idea what could be causing this? Should I try a factory reset?
Issue 2: I just noticed my phone isn't recognizing when I plug in 3.5mm headphones or speakers anymore. It's been since mid December since I've used headphones with it. Today, I plugged in some 2.1 speakers to play some music and it would only come out of the external speaker on the phone. I then tried to use the headphones I was using a month ago and it also didn't recognize them. Could this just be a software issue or should I RMA?
My phone is in mint condition. Never dropped, never had liquids on it, etc. If anyone could provide me with some suggestions for troubleshooting these issues I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Volume up problem with earbuds

Hi.
I had this weird problem earlier today which was solved the same way it occurred; it just happened for no apparent reason. So I was listening to music through my earbuds and its volume controls were working fine. After a while I noticed that the volume wouldn't increase when I clicked the volume up button, but it would decrease when I used the volume down button. So I unlocked my phone before trying to adjust the volume using the earbuds and for some reason volume up turned on Google Now instead of turning up the media volume.
I tried to uninstall updates and turn off Google Now but that didn't help, I also restarted the phone which didn't help either. After I managed to deactivate the app the volume up button didn't give any response at all.
So I ended up just leaving it like that, but when I tested it a few minutes later it worked fine again! Just like that. I didn't do anything! I was listening through Spotify like I always do.
What kind of sorcery is this?

Why does my media volume keep going on mute?

Several months ago I purchased a car with bluetooth and Android Auto, never had either before, which may or may not actual be related., but it seems like since them I have had my media volume muted all the time.
Every time I go to play a Youtube video or play or stream a song in an app, my media volume is muted. I have to press Vol Up once, then the volume is instantly restored to it's previous level.
Anyway to get around this? It seems related to the car because when I get in it and it synchs with BT, I can see the media volume bar pop-up and it's muted but I am not sure if it's getting muted at that point or already is but it seems odd that would pop up every time I would sync to the car. Or is this just normal behaviour?
The car is a 2018 Hyundai Sonata if that matters, and my phone is a bone stock Moto G5+ 4/64 model.
Nobody? Hmm... Must just be something weird on my end then.

Have you tried checking the car's system? Pretty sure it's something to with the car and not your phone as you mentioned it only happens when your phone syncs with the car. Maybe you missed a setting somewhere in the car that has to do with the sync or connection and the events that follow. Just a suggestion. I don't have a car with Bluetooth or Android Auto though

Bluetooth Media Volume Sync on Oreo Problem

Hi, I've updated my G935S to oreo since May and I am still unable to solve this issue:
Ever since I updated to Oreo, when I connect my S7 to my car (2018 Kia Rio, top trim with Android Auto), it connects as in it supports volume sync and plays fine, but after playing for around 10 seconds, it switches back to no volume sync, which makes the volume extremely low.
My question is, is there a fix to this? I know that I could disable Absolute Volume Control in Developer Options but I have other devices that are working well with that function and I don't want to disable it completely.
Things I've Tried:
-Clearing Bluetooth Cache
-Forget and reconnect car
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Earphone buttons not functioning after updating to android Pie

Hello everyone
So i just updated my phone to Android Pie a couple hours ago
Everything works fine except the earphone buttons.
So i have eapods from Apple devices, the buttons work perfectly fine on android 8.0
But since i update my phone to android pie, i can't use the earphone buttons, especially when i try to resume the music. Pause/skip to next song sometimes working, but sometimes it's not.
Anyone has same issue here? Any solution???
Pause/resume on headphones not working after pie udpate MiA1
Facing the same issue on MIA1 after android pie update. Pause/resume on headphones does not work but volume rockers on the headphones are working fine.

I tried rebooting my phone (not restarting). Switched it off and powered it back on. This fixed the issue ?

try on your device and share your experiences
Not working in my case. I have MI A1 with eapods from Apple device that was working properly on android 8.0 But since update to Android 9 - pie it stopped working.
Same here
It happened after update to 9.0
in my case it works with the screen locked and music in the background
I have my hybrid pro hd .
Same problem
I have the same problem with Mi A1 with a Samsung s6 earphone. Volume button works fine but sometimes the other button it works but after a bit period of time it just does nothing. Can't pause or resume nor change music.
I just tested I can't even bring up Google assistant with holding it down.
For anyone also having this problem, in Developer Options you can select the AVRCP version used to control music playback via Bluetooth. In my case, AVRCP 1.3 works like a charm. This may also fix issues with Bluetooth speakers with playback controls.
Rebooting
