Stop spamming this everywhere. Also, you've posted this in a wrong section.
That is how it's intended to be. It's not a bug.
Install GravityBox and you will have possibilities .

gravity box can only hide carrier, believe not a bug ,i just want a perfect rom what i want .

hi
Hi
I have lg optimus g e975 -4.4.2 not g2!
But this mod works for me & successfully disabled the navigation ring!
As my phone has hardware keys, you must swipe from bottom of screen,
That means the 2mm of the screen bottom touch doesn't work!& a lot of other problems!
This mod because of disabling that ring was my greatest reason to root my device!
I'm afraid installing Xposed has made so much lags for my device!
So I'll be thankful if you please tell me if I can disable navigation ring without Xposed!
What does your mod do? I'll be happy to do it manually to my rom!
I searched a lot! This is the last thing I can do! I'm waiting for your answer!
Sorry for bad English! That's not my first language...
I'm gonna wait for you & other guys solution...

I don't think there is any configuration value which you can modify. You will need to modify SystemUI.apk
Search for class com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.PhoneStatusBar method shouldDisableNavbarGestures. This method must return TRUE to hide navigation ring.
LG G2 mini (d620r)
Contacts, Dialer, Task Manager, Messages, Sound Recorder and Quick Memo crash when started, using both metods.
Xposed is causing problems
Hi,
Just wanted to add that xposed is causing many problems
1- WIFI stops working
2- Does not search any wifi network
3- WIFI switch if on before installing or reboot after xposed will stay on and if OFF vice versa.
4- WIFI storage also stops working
5- Google location stops working gives error at phone boot up.
6- Weather Widget problem
Had to tot back.
Hoping this info is good for anyone like me thinking to install xpose.

Well, I'm not developer of Xposed. Core Xposed framework should not have such issues. Usually such cases happen by enabling module which is not made for your device or Android version.

[Proximity sensor] [Nougat ROMs] discussion

Code:
the motto of this thread is
to find out a solution
and not to curse anyone .
Be polite or moderator will take action .
I found out a strange issue of proximity sensor being on after unlocking device in nougat based ROMs,generally it must go off after unlocking the device ,Tried on lineage os , aokp , RR,xosp the sate is same . No effects were seen even on ticking/unticking "prevent accidental wake up " option .
Only a reboot solves the problem I.e. sensor goes off only after a reboot . Also I first thought that is because of Adaptive brightness and live display but toggling that too didn't help .
So if anyone knows a possible workaround or solution do comment .

About Lineage OS and other things

Hey guys, this is my 1st post so if I'm doing anything that I'm not supposed to or posting in the wrong area, please say so.
Ok, so, I used to have Android phones back in the day, since 2.2-2.3, then 4.0-4.4 and still used custom roms to update my mom's Moto G 1st Gen, from 4.4 to 7, but I manly used iPhones ever since 2012 and the easy jailbreak life made me kind of lazy - all of the process of jailbreaking and installing tweaks was very easy.
Now I'm back into the Android world with a Moto G4+ and I've already unlocked the bootloader and installed a few of the available custom roms, but none of them were actually stable enough to use in a daily basis so I got back to the stock rom.
Now I'm downloading LineageOS (that's the rom I also used to upgrade my mom's phone) and I got a few questions about it (since I can't post them on the official thread):
- can I enable the notification LED?? I can't do that in the stock rom but it worked really fine in the cypherOS rom.
- is there any option to disable the soft keys and use the fingerprint sensor as these buttons?? I mean, some kind of gesture, like the VirtualHome tweak in iOS, when a touch equals to home, a double tap to multitask etc. Just saw that the G5 will have some gestures in the FP sensor that will replace the soft keys, so a port of this feature would also be good.
- is this rom already rooted or do I have to install something else??
- is xposed working?? I actually found one article about it in the G4 but it was for MM and then I didn't find anything about it in N.
Sorry for my dumb questions, I swear I was going to read all of the official thread but when I was in the 9th page I saw that there was 294 total pages and then I gave up. :crying:
[EDIT]

OK so, answering my own questions (at least a few):
- the LED is enabled by default I'm in heaven;
- THERE IS a default option to use the FP sensor as home button AND another one as to place multitask screen to show up by double pressing the home button. With this two options I am able to use the FP sensor at it's full potential (in my humble opinion) BUT as you can see in the images I am able to hide the softkeys only in a few parts of the system, it still shows up when you pull down notification center and also when you open up the keyboard. It's very annoying. I guess this question is still up.
- I think it's rooted by default thank you very much.
To your xposed question: no, there's no xposed for nougat out yet

It won't come back. If you mean a screenshot where you see "themes", then it is with substratum. Themes appears in settings after installing substratum. It has nothing to do with CMTE.

XDA Navigation Bar app

Has anyone tried XDAs navigation bar app on this mobile? I was going to try it but then on the nav bar thread I read that there is some bug when we install this app on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 or on LG G6.
Please reply if someone has tried it?
Secondly I want to know that would it interrupt OTA updates in any way?
I have tried two times.first on 21st may and lastly today 31st may.i have given permission through adb but stock navigation bar was intact.and the gesture bar was above the system navigation bar.
No it will not interrupt the OTA updates.i have updated my phone last week after using and with installed the navigation gesture app.
UPDATE:- Now with latest update to Navigation Gestures_1.2.0-18_06_11_1601_23 version we may hide the stock navigation bar.
navigation bar remains intact. .. gesture bar is coming above it... g all
after giving all the permission and adb permission too.. still can get rid of that navigation bar.... can someone help me with this?
Any updates regarding navbar??
yup. navigation bar doesn't hide. even on rooted device unless used with xposed, doesn't work.
Now with latest update to Navigation Gestures_1.2.0-18_06_11_1601_23 version we may hide the stock navigation bar.
I can confirm it. now its possible to hide the navigation buttons.
Really!!!??? Is it working well?? Can you please explain the procedure with all the steps involved. I am a noob but I so want this feature ?
