How to check firmware/hardware integrity on Nokia 6 TA-1054? - Nokia 6 Questions & Answers

Hi!
I just received my Nokia 6 TA-1054 yesterday. Unfortunately turning it on, it has a 7.1.1 on, with a patch from 2017-Nov-6. No update since.
Tried several method to get the OTA going, like factory resetting and wiping the google services framework cache after startup and checking. Tried VPNs different regions. Alao tried with and without simcards, before and after a factory reset. I did not tried an other carrier sim yet, but it did not get an update before I inserted my SIM so I'm not full of hope here.
My question is: Can I check if I have the original rom or had the shop installed some other firmware that would break the OTA?
Thanks for any suggestion, cheers!

Maybe I'm just thinking for myself here, but I figured if the device came with Play Store preinstalled, it ahould be some custom rom isn't it?
By the way Nokia support said the device should bbare an original ROM. They needed the IMEI1 to check. Can they know from the IMEI number alone?

Same problem

I have the same problem with my phone. I purchased it in China without knowing that it's a customized ROM. I want to receive OTA updates. Any suggestion?

Well, I sent mine back to the local vendor, because laws in Hungary allow me to do that, and puchased a gloval version from amazon.de.
The main reason to do this was that the china variant is not in the android one program.
As a solution, because global version started to roll out, if you can't switch the phone, I'd just wait until someone dumps their rom, and would try to flash that.

You could try flashing mena region firmware on your phone there is one for your phone in google drive folder use ost tool

No wifi, imei working for Moto G4 Plus XT1643(indian version)?

I was stuck on boot loop while rooting my Moto G4 Plus(Indian Version) so I downloaded the stock rom from File Factory where the file name was "G4_XT1641-XT1643_ATHENE_6.0.1_MPJ24.139-13.1_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC.xml_2" for XT1643 version. While flashing through cmd there were some errors like "image not signed or corrupt " and I ignored them as I was half way through. After completing the process, my phone booted successfully. Now, I'm not able to Turn on my wifi, there is no imei so no cellular network, rest all everything is working fine. I googled a lot for Moto G4 Plus stock rom and everywhere I was redirected to only on link which was from File Factory. I even formatted the phone but there was not change, even re flashed the same rom but still no success. Please help, it was the first day of my phone and this happened

Looks like you flashed the wrong firmware at some point, your baseband is reporting the wrong version for example. Also, losing Wi-Fi and IMEI could be caused by the wrong firmware. What's also not good is that your device is reporting itself as a G4 rather than a G4 Plus... What firmware did you flash?
You could try flashing either this firmware (a signed stock firmware for XT 1643 devices) https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/moto-g4-plus-xt1643-updated-signed-t3460695 which is build number 139-63 or reflash the MPJ24.139-23.1 firmware (which I think is the Marshmallow firmware for Indian devices, I recommend that you verify this yourself before flashing). You may find the 23.1 firmware here in the XT1640 folder https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto G4 (Plus)/Stock/XT1640/ or check the links in this thread. https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/skus-build-t3427601
I'm hoping that when you re-flash your Wi-Fi and IMEI are restored though no guarantees unfortunately, good luck either way.

Hmm, that's odd, as I've used that same signed ROM without losing imei. You've repeated the flash with a fresh copy of the stock ROM and you're on a XT1643? Can you describe what flashing you've performed? Did you also try rolling back to the earlier marshmallow build? (Again, please verify it's suitable for your device)
Lastly, can you reboot to your bootloader, plug your device into your computer and, in adb, execute 'fastboot getvar all' and post the output here? You may wish to remove your serial and imei from the output.
I hope others will be able to suggest steps, else it may require a service centre repair.
Is this helpful?

Thanks, looks like at some point your device was flashed with US firmware, the fingerprint reports as MPJ24.139-64, which is the latest US MM based firmware. The Indian stock ROM should be reporting 139-63/64.
You can try to re-flash using the Asia/Indian specific firmware, which given from your recent posting, I see you've been hunting, to try to revert back to your proper firmware. Again, as I've previously stated, should be the 139-23.1 build but again confirm this before flashing, and be aware this may not work still.

Doesn't really change matters - the installer still detects your device as athene, a G4 (rather than athene_f, a G4 Plus) and as such has flashed the G4 specific firmware onto your device.
I can't think of anything else to try except submitting your device for a service centre repair - this thread details a similar situation as yours: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/moto-g4-pluss-model-changed-to-g4-lost-t3496912 and looks like the outcome was to either have your device repaired or buy a new one.

Appears to be the same firmware that Indian XT1643 devices came with initially (and that's what I mentioned to you in a previous post too), but double check by searching on XDA and other platforms.

I have upgrade my ROM to Marshmallow 6.01 which is causing some problem.. Since I didn't took official ROM backup, I couldn't roll back to original official.... Can someone help me on this and upload official room, so that I can get the official ROM back and go for OTA update.

Hello, let me understand, by original rom you mean 5.1.1? And I would be curious what problems do you have with 6.0.1? Did you try a full wipe after installing 6.0.1? Cheers

Yes I need the firmware which comes with the phone I think it was 5.1.1 (N920CZDAXSG)... After upgrading 6.0.1 the problem is battery drains soon (Just in 25mins 100 to 0) even after factory reset, went to service centre got busted using custom ROM.. They will not reverse it to official version since its violation of terms and condition... That is why I want to go for any original official version so that I can go with OTA update from samsung itself.

Then it might be hardware related. The only way to know is to reflash I will provide you links on how I downgraded and did not trigger knox.
First download Samsung drivers https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/galaxy-s7-edge-t-mobile
Next download odin I used this version http://stockroms.net/file/Tools/ODIN/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip
Last download Rom. This Untouched Rom will not trigger Knox. Worked for me no issues here.

Also you might wanna try to clear cache before and after flashing. To clear cache you hold Power+VolumeUp+Homebutton during bootup. then recovery will pop up there you clear cache.

I have already flashed AS6.0(1),LA7.0 and US_pure7.0,all works nicely in China on my xt1570 by flashing the files boot and system only, and supports ds by modifing the file build.prop in system, but US_pure7.0 is the most perfect.
ALL my files are on pan.baidu.com, so I'll upload AS7.0 to mega later.

Ok thanks dzidexx.
In your opinion, what would be the most appropriate method to update several telephones as quickly as possible?
Indeed, the phones are in MPH24.49-18 / 18 (Android 6) and I wish to update them faster on Android 7.
I had thought to flash a firmware STOCK Android 7 that I would have extracted from a phone up to date. But this requires that all other non-updated phones be root for change their fimware. That takes too much time.
If not, download all OTA updates and make them one by one, using the original recovery mode. But it isn't yet optimal enough in terms of time.
So my question is this:
Is it possible to make a package of all OTA updates to perform the manipulation only once ?
If not, would you have an alternative method to minimize the update time?
Thank you in advance.
There isn't option to flash one package.
Fastest way - flash 6.0.1(24...58-5) and get otas(small, big, 2x small).

Find version number of Samsung S8 Phone? (boot stuck on Samsung loading screen)

Hello,
So I recently rooted and installed a rom on my Galaxy S8 (extreme syndicate method). But I wanted to unroot and go back to stock so I downloaded a firmware from sammobile and flashed it using odin (I only added the BL, AP, and CP files during flash) and now it gets stuck on the samsung logo at boot. Can't enter recovery (can enter download mode).
So I think I'm not downloading the correct firmware for my phone from sammobile maybe? I have tried 4 different firmwares (2x android 9.0 firmwares - gives the stuck on samsung logo issue and 2x android 7.0 firmwares fail to flash correctly in Odin)
How do I know the right PDA or CSC version numbers for my phone without being able to get into it? I'm in Australia and it's a SM-G950U however not sure of the origins of the phone (could be an import, not sure).
Or any other things I could try to get it back to stock?
Thanks!
Well you need to go to about phone and look at build number. And when you flash the firmware flash csc. You rooted and dont know what build number you have? The firmware you flash has to be on the same bootloader of the current firmware you have
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Thanks for your reply.
So I followed the instructions here to root forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/development/root-t4060701 flashing the G950USQU7ASK1 firmware and worked fine.. I am unsure of the stock firmware/build number for this phone though. I can't find any compatible firmware on sammobile either.

I suggest getting your Stock ROM not from xda, but from Sammobile. To find your ROM on Sammobile, you need your phone model. You can find your phone model in Settings -> About phone. It's called "Model number". Then, use that to find your ROM on Sammobile.
The reason why your flash didn't work, is because you may have left out "CSC".
---------- Post added at 06:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 PM ----------
It's me again. So this is the page for your exact model: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s8/firmware/#SM-G950U
But it only seems to have ROMs for USA.
However this other version of the S8 does: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s8/firmware/SM-G950F/XSA/
I suggest using the latter link. It's for a S8 from a different market, but it'll work regardless.

If you used extreme syndicate method you are on or near the latest firmware. Despite being 7.0 you are still on the latest. So its gonna be a bit 7 firmware. 5th digit from the far right end. Will be a 1 through 7. You need any firmware with a 7.
