K8 Bricked "Device is corrupt" - LG K8 Questions & Answers

During the day yesterday and today I was reading threads about this problem, but none of them could really help me.
What happened was that I was following a tutorial on how to root the cell phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/root-unlock-bootloader-root-lenovo-k8-t3703559
and when I install the image that the tutorial told me, I enter in a loop, showing the screen of "Your device is corrupt.
I can enter a few seconds in Download Mode, but the pc does not recognize it, it seems that it will recognize the cell phone for about 2/3 seconds but then nothing happens. I can not enter Recovery, because when I press volume down + power, it only turns on and starts the loop again.
Is there any salvation for the cell phone or does it have a hard brick?

Well since on this link you have posted is guide for Lenovo and not LG that what happened is expected, I guess you bricked it very well. Here on K8 forums and k10 there are some unbricking guides so check them out.

Can't unbrick Optimus l5

Hello, I ran into a problematic brick on my L5...nothing seems to work to unbrick it.
I followed the guides step by step using the KDZ updater and the appropriate firmware for my country, but it doesn't work.
How I bricked it:
I had CM10 installed and perfectly running for a month, so today I decided to attempt an overclock to speed the device up a bit.
So, I downloaded and installed the modded kernel, flashed it using CWM and rebooted the device. After that, the device just keep booting up, showing the LG logo and then a black screen.
Now, after trying to flash the old firmware after going into download mode it just stops on the LG logo with the flare (sun ray effect) spinning around the logo all the time...It's been like that for almost 30 minutes now. I attempted re-flashing it 3 times but nothing seems to work.
What do I do?
Thank you in advance.
It's bootloop. When I had L5 I had the same problem after flashing bricked phone via KDZ.
Do hard reset with key combination. It worked for me. Phone will boot up few minutes.

I just cant get into emergency, DIAG or emergency CS
KDZ the phone connects and then I get a message afterwards PHONE NOT FOUND.
everytime I install the drivers by LG support tool, it keeps giving me the option to install the driver, like I havent done it a hundred times over.
I think there should be a driver somewhere that can be installed but the only people that have this driver are LG tech's. So they can bill you after
send the phone in cause you rooted it. So the one billion dollar question is witch hero will find a way to unbrick this device. We only need a way
to get a driver to install and we are home free. Or maybe the only other option is throwing the phone for sale on internet for spare parts
HELP PLEASE HELP find a way to unbrick this phone. Believe me I flashed and bricked alot of different phones and there was a way out but in
with this phone it seems impossible!!
And there is no mode to put it in in because te volume buttons don't do crap, the home button also, the only time that the phone does show up is when windows tells me it has an unknown device that I for the love of god can't find a driver for. I tried SDK, the LG drivers, but no dice
Did you try emergency mode? (volume up + volume down + power button)
If not, see if you can enter it and then flashing your stock firmware with Software update [KDZ] 1.0.4.4 (KDZ-Flasher).

[Q] Help needed. Bricked LG G2, when google didn't help!

Good day fellow XDA users!
I've been playing with my old LG G2, and as you could have guessed - bricked it (while trying to instal Android L ROM)
The problem: The phone is not booting further the LG logo.
I've tried:
1. Doing a hard-reset, didn't work. After getting to the hard-reset screen - I double-confirm the reset and then nothing happens (waited for about an hour and a half).
2. Entering download-mode, didn't work. It shows the "download mode" logo but nothing happens.
3. Connecting to PC, fast-boot, adb of LG Tool can't "see" the device.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
Anyone?
Your phone boots in fastboot?..or it's only stuck on LG logo?..if you can boot in fastboot then there are some threads around here about how to recover...but if you are stuck at LG logo i don't know.. I hope somebody more experienced will help you.
Nope, I didn't manage to get it to load fastboot.

Hello, sorry it took some time to answer, but here (original post can be found here http://androidforums.com/threads/he...when-google-didnt-help.900687/#post-6874443):
FIXED!
I followed the steps and it worked!!!
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 this liknk helped connecting it to PC.
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 this link helped me flash the partitions, well actually not, because I didn't have a linux machine next to me. So I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/unbrick-lg-g2-qhsusbbulkqualcomm-9006-t2939627, which is really a walk in a park, just download and run the file.
Anyhow, now my phone works!
Special thanks to

LG K8 K350NDS fully bricked

Hello,
I have followed the instructions on XDA to root this phone.
After attempting to use APPS2SD, the phone got bricked.
No ADB, No Download Mode.
When you turn it on, it shows "device corrupt", and keeps rebooting.
I am pretty new at this.
I am asking your help to fix my phone.
I have read that I must use "SP FlashTool".
So I downloaded the KDZ and extracted some files.
But I believe I need a scatter file.
What should I do ?
Can you please give me the scatter file ?
Thank you.

well... if you really don't have download mode then you're screwed. However i can't imagine what app2sd could do with your download mode since it's on a hidden partition...

man, that just happened to me a week ago. the same problem, the same phone, the same model, and that was after rooting and try to reboot in download mode.
I'M WARNING YOU!!!!! ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE DELETED WITH THIS PROCESS BUT ITS THE ONLY WAY TO UNBRICK YOUR PHONE!!!!
1-turn off your phone, press the VOLUME UP button and keep pressing without press any other button, just VOL UP.
2-pressing the VOL UP button plug your phone to the PC and open the LG BRIDGE software. (http://www.lg.com/es/posventa/software-y-drivers?search=LGK350N-Negro&pageVisibleFlag=2)
3-the LG BRIDGE software will automatically recognise your phone in "firmware mode" and detect there is a problem with your ROM. It will download the entire firmware again and will install it in your phone.
that works for me a week ago as a said...so, let me know how it works for you!!!
Good luck man!!!
(sorry for my english, i am practicing).
Problem solved
Thank you very much !
Raul's solution worked for me.
It took me a lot of time before being able to perform the repair, because, it was being held in a shop, by a guy who hated me, for more than a month -_- .
So, I did what Raul suggested, it brought me to a white screen asking for a password, and offering 30 attempts.
I waited for a few days as advised elsewhere, but without success.
I then did a hard reset, I believe by pressing Vol Down + Off, as suggested in another post.
Now my phone is working again. It is a great relief ! Thank you !!

Bricked A2017G

Hey Folks, i just bricked My Axon 7 some Days ago. It started randomly a reboot which i can't abort anymore. Everytime the Device get's a Charge does it start again. I can't enter TWRP or Fastboot (Reboots after a few Seconds). Same for the Flash Mode. It is now completely discharged and i don't know how to recover it. Any Ideas?
Think i can't fix this, but asking here don't hurts...
4th grade unbrick guide here in the Forums. That helped me after i cannot access any Mode. No Flash Mode, No EDL, No USB, No Qualcomm Loader. Axon 7 too.

Lol. I made a guide based on that one but updated, called DFU unbrick, because everybody had to read my comments there anyways to be able to do it. Not sure why everyone still uses the old one ?
@Miustone: If you want, you can try an EDL cable first. A lot of people say that they could get out of DFU that way. (assuming that you can get into EDL/DFU that is). Google my guide, it's called "DFU unbrick", if the EDL cable doesn't work
Thanks Guys! I will take a look on the DFU unbrick and the EDL Cable. At least a blink of Hope for this great Device... Still good as new, would be sad to use it just as a golden Sculpture lol

Hey, sorry for asking but how did you brick it? I am thinking about installing a custom ROM, rooting etc and I would just like to know if it was something in specific so I can stay away from it. Cheers.

OnePlus 5 bricked and need some help

Hi All
I have a one plus 5 that all of a sudden wont turn on, stuck it on charge last night and then this morning will not boot
I can get it into fast boot mode but that is about as far as it goes, when I try and go to recovery mode the phone just shutsdown
Been searching the forum here and discovered some info about unbricking using MSMdownload tool in EDL mode, I have tried quite a few different drives and about 5 PCS's now all with the same result saying Sahara connection failed
I have also tried the ALL IN ONE TOOL to do the recovery flasher but bootloader is locked and wont allow it, I have not been able to find away to unlock it as everthing I have found says to unlock via the settings menu which obviously I cant get to as the phone wont boot
I was hoping just to extract some data from it at first but that is starting to look like it is not possible
if anyone has any tips that could help me out I would really appreciate it
Cheers
