I think u must use "adb" command from a PC or something equal with Laptop, and your Device must in "Fastboot" Mode
Then via cable data u can remote from the PC with "ADB Command, for more detail , u can search in google : replace booatloder via Fastboot

exactly. the phone needs to be in fastboot!
the file needs to be extracted on the desktop or your device and you need to run the .bat file, thats all

I tried running the .bat file but even after running it I still got error 7. What I did was unlock bootloader, flash twrp through fastboot, wipe data, boot into fastboot, run.bat file, open twrp and flash ROM, but I got error 7 still. Any idea what is happening?

Dude just open any custom rom zip using winrar etc. don't extract the whole zip just extract the META-INF folder, then delete the META-INF from the custom rom zip, open the folder of META-INF that you have formerly extracted, open updater-script using notepad++ and remove the line starting with "assert...." save the updater-script file and copy the whole META-INF folder to the custom rom zip, copy this zip with modified META-INF to your phone and flash normly using TWRP.

I tried that too but didnt work. Its working now though. Successfully booted into LOS 15.1. Had to flash and boot into xiaomi.eu after format data once to solve the error 7.

[Q] custom recovery problem?

http://forum.sdx-developers.com/index.php?topic=7108.0
On the original post by inxane he says to 2. Download the recovery and put it in C:\Program Files (Program Files (x86) if you are on 64 bit)\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary. DELETE THE FILE ALREADY IN THERE OR YOU MAY PERMA-BRICK YOUR INTERCEPT...
Is the recovery just the cm01 tar file at the top because this link >http://www.sdx-downloads.com/devs/inxane/intercept/recoveryv14.tar can no longer be found.
sorry first time working with the intercept, i was going to try adb method but i heard the recovery goes away after you reboot.
From my experience, the CM01.tar file needs the recovery.rfs extracted. When you download SWUpgrade, you want to delete the file inside the Binary Folder and replace it with the recovery.rfs which happens to be Inxane's CM Recovery. The latest should be 2.5.1.0.
The reason it exists as a .tar file is becuse CM Recovery recognizes system files as .tar extensions. So if there was a case you wanted to reflash CM Recovery for some reason, you can do it inside CM Recovery so long as it's in the .tar container. Otherwise, you need the recovery.rfs file on the PC side.
From my experience, If you move CM01.tar to the Binary folder and run SWUpgrade, the upgrade won't start and it'll just hang.

THANK YOU!!! I was wondering why it was hanging/just rebooting...
[Wrong link! My bad!]
I read that the Intercept can re-install it's stock recovery after rebooting the phone.

Basically someone is suggesting to just flash a root kernel (SlapKernel) with SW Upgrade. I'm going to try it out right now.
[EDIT] Flashing SlapKernel worked fine (and I wasn't rooted before...), and it's way more responsive so far. I suggest you follow these instructions

[Q] Error 7 When installing 2.3.7 from Recovery

Hello XDA Developers! Last time I was here I was hacking a HTC Blue Angel..That was a long time away....I digress
I have this phone which is currently running a 2.3.4 rom and I have ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.0.5, and when I download any of the 2.3.7 roms this is what happens:
I drag the recovery zip to my phone with no extraction at all and select install zip from recovery menu. It does nothing.
I extract the zip file and end up with recovery.img and a zip file. I drag both to the root of my memory card and then select install zip from my phone. I then get the following error:
i.imgur.com/xlHip.png
I have absolutely no idea what to try from here, the biggest problem i've dealt with thus far was a md5 mismatch...

Try toggling script asserts, or re-download the file.
Also, I suggest updating your recovery to 2.5.1.8.
Thanks for the quick reply!
I toggled script asserts so it was enabled, for the raw unmodified zip file nothing happened, and for the extracted zip file I got an Error seven again
I've tried redownloading the file multiple times, even getting earlier versions of the rom to try.
How would I go about updating recovery? I don't have a functional usb cable at the moment unfortunately but if absolutely neccessary I can hack one up.

I think you should have the asserts disabled to get past the error. (use the extracted zip, which gave you the error 7)
If this does not help, probably best way to go forward is to get a usb cable and try flashing using fastboot

[RUU] Froyo flashable RUU zip file!

Since I had to RUU my phone to stock sense today I had to create a flashable zip file since im on a Mac (unfortuately).
Anyways here is a link to the zip.
Instructions:
1) Backup everything (TI backup and nandroid backups via CWM).
2) Copy backups from SDcard of phone to your computer
3) Copy PG016IMG.zip to sdcard of your phone
4) Run adb reboot fastboot from adndroid sdk platform tools folder
5) Reboot recovery
6) Fastboot recovery will find the PG016IMG.zip and ask if you want to flash, say yes. It will check the file and start flashing.
7) You will see TP being bypassed twice, then the 3rd TP being flashed.
Once it complete the phone will reboot and you will be on stock HTC Sense Android 2.2.
Enjoy.

edit: nevermind, I am now. Wish I had seen that before I had to go through compiling unshield and running unruu. It wasn't on the wiki. Oh well. thanks!

Modify update images to install with TWRP

Hello devs,
please can somebody discribe how to modify the original update image, that we can install the image with TWRP without overwriting the TWRP recovery , fastboot a.s.o.
That would be great.
You can use a Archive Software like (7zip) to replace files in your update.zip . I didn't try it so no idea if it works.
I know, with 7zip we can open the files, but the point is, how to modify the update script that the recovery will not be overwritten a.s.o.

If all you are worried about is overwriting TWRP then just flash TWRP in TWRP before you reboot

Cant flash stock rom

Hi guys. M currently usimg Nephilim Rom V2. I was trying to flash b594 stock rom. Whenever i tried to install it with stock recovery it just says no update.app is found. Even though i extracted the update.zip file and put it in internal storage in dload folder. I cant even flash it through fastboot because it gives error even though i extracted the img files through Huawei extractor. Can anyone help!!!!
What kind of error fastboot method gives you? I always have went back to stock rom by flashing a rom in fastboot and never had problems with it
While flashing system.img i got error cant load system.img. even though it's in the same folder as adb is. There was also an error whule flashing recovery extracted from update.zip. i was flashing the recovery.img only and it says errot:too many links.

Done that to same result...
So you want your original firmware correct ? If so , go here: http://consumer.huawei.com/nl-en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=82749
Change region (if needed) find your phone and download that.
Once you downloaded it:
1. put it on your sd card
1.1 Since when you download the file, its gonna be in .zip or .rar format, you are gonna need to extract that and what you get out of that file (its gonna be a folder called dload) put that whole thing "dload" on to your sdcard. ( put in in a main folder of your sd card its called root folder, its where your main folders are like pictures, DCIM etc.)
2. turn off your phone leave it for a sec
3. then hold all 3 buttons ( power ,volume up , volume down) and it should start installing the thing.
Hope this helps.

It's on honor 4x forum but it says it works on p8lite android 5.0 or higher.
Are you able to install stock recovery through adb? If you are, you can easily use Huawei's recovery to flash the stock firmware
