Rooting method for S8 on oreo - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

http://galaxys8root.com/galaxy-s8-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s8-or-s8-plus-on-android-8-0-oreo/
I'm going to follow the above tutorial but I’ve seen other tutorials on xda on how to root s8 after oreo update. None mention RMM State Bypass and anti removal tool but they do say you still have to flash dm verity zip which there is no mention of in this video. Just to mention my device has always had the oem unlock option since upgrading to oreo. Do we now not need to flash dm verity on oreo?
Also to add, I think I had already enabled oem unlock before installing the oreo ota update coming from nougat

Can anyone help with this at all?

Does the KingRoot app work to the S8 with Oreo?

[OP5] Need help upgrading to oreo from rooted nougat

I am on OOS 4.5.13 "stock", i used the engineering mode exploit to get magisk root while my bootloader is still locked, now i want to upgrade to latest OOS oreo but i am afraid that this exploit might end up bricking the device. My bootloader is still locked and i have stock recovery (sorry if stating the obvious) and i have no problem losing my data to upgrade to oreo, but i would like to get magisk on oreo when i upgrade, any tips/precautions or a link to a guide would be very helpful. I don't need to root right away as i might like getting OTA updates but i don't wan't to wipe the device another time for some special procedure.
Should i unlock bootloader then upgrade or reverse the order? I keep getting these prompts to upgrade with a disclaimer that full system needs to be downloaded, should i just do it OTA?
PS: i have titanium backup working and can backup the apps i need.

if you are ok with loosing data then i suggest you to unlock the bootloader then flash the latest oos build from the official website ( that makes it easy for you to switch roms easily in the future )
if you need your data then just accept the ota ( obviously you will lose root access and magisk features )
but imo no harm can be done accepting the ota as oneplus itself know that most of users are rooted so they send you the ota as a full build that replace the firmware parts previously modified
the choice is yours

zenfone 3 with oreo 8.0: unlock, instal TWRP & custom ROM?

I've already unlocked, installed TWRP and custom ROMS on several devices, so i know about fastboot, ADB, USB drivers for my device.
But with zenfone3 it's still pretty confusing for my brains so please be patient with me and explain the following:
I have a new zenofone 3 updated to stock oreo 8.0 already by OTA and i want to unlock, instal TWRP/Root and a oreo custom ROM.
In some guides for unlocking in this forum i read about flashing a RAW image before unlocking. Is this really necessary? If so: what for?
And then after unlocking i read about installing stock OREO again. hmm...
Please could somebody post here short necessary steps for my zenfone 3 with stock oreo 8.0 to instal a custom ROM OREO 8.1 on my device?
Thanks a lot in advance!

1) There are 2 ways to unlock
Official- This method is very easy (just download the bootloader unlock apk to unlock but this method will void warranty and you will not get any OTA Updates
Unofficial- This method is safe too, but it requires to flash RAW files (this method retains warranty and you will get OTA Updates)
The reason why you should flash Oreo RAW because Factory RAW can only boot FASTBOOT and touch screen will not work.
Just follow my steps and you can install custom ROM without any issues.

Update to oreo before root or after root? And which TWRP? Tool?

Alright, I have my rare new unlockable G6 and want to get going.
But, you know, I want to update to Oreo 8.0 or even 8.1. Should I do that first before going thru the bootloader unlocking procedure? Or should I update after I root it?
(also is 8.1 something I should seek, or is 8.0 just fine?)
Then what about TWRP? I read that Zefie had it all together, then passed it off to Eliminater74. Do I have to install Zefie’s Melina TWRP 3.2.1 if I unlock the Nougat? Then what, I overwrite that with Eliminater74’s TWRP 3.2.3 when I update to Oreo?
Also, what about Mauronofrio’s Tool All In One? I like the idea, I sure did like the Wugfresh tool. But I am not sure it helps beyond installing drivers. I am not afraid of adb. Is there something useful in this tool?
Please comment if you have experience or knowledge of any of these varied subjects.

missing OEM UNLOCK on Oreo on C9 Pro

Hello people,
I been almost crazy to look for howto's on how to restore OEM UNLOCK on my C9 Pro after upgrading from 7.1.1. To 8.0
Could anyone with good heart please point me *working howto* how to restore it? All of the howto's for Samsung S9 etc seems not working for my C9 Pro.
Thank you mates in advance!
Merry Christmas everyone.
That got removed you cant restore it you need to go back to 7.1.1 enable it and update to oreo
Ive done this so many times, from 7.1.1 OEM UNLOCK is appearing, after upgrading/flashing via Odin to 8.0, OEM UNLOCK is missing.
Or I am missing other way of upgrading to Oreo, you might share it.
Thank you mate!
No on oreo you cant see that option thats only on 7.1.1 and before you need to enable and upgrade to oreo after upgrade to oreo that will still be missing but that is enabled

if it is enable, then why i am failing to install TWRP on OREO? I badly need TWRP/Recovery access for me to install Dolby Atmos, my phone volume is weak, and Dobly Atmos improves it.
or is there any way to install Dolby Atmos without accessing the TWRP/Recovery?
thank you.

you would mind sharing the dm-verity.zip file/link that will allowed to upgrade Oreo via OTA?
thank you mate!
Dm verity is a thing to make twrp use internal storage https://www.mediafire.com/file/cecppmkk81pdd8b/Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_09.02.2018.zip/

Can G5+ be upgraded to Oreo via OTA and then rooted

If I end up with the 4/64 variant (then my 2/32 lives on as some backup device/wifi)...pretty sure it still will have stock Nougat. If I upgrade immediately to Oreo via OTA, can I still unlock the bootloader and root, or unlock it on Nougat and then upgrade via OTA and then root it?
Also, true I couldnt reflash a TWRP backup of a Pie ROM on my 2/32 and into a 4/64?
g 5 +moto
re lock ur bootloader back to stock then up grade to 8.1 if ur a senior member you should know that.2/32 4/64 are hardware in your phone .
Not exactly the answer I was looking for. The exact question is, unlock bootloader on Nougat or unlock after upgrading to Oreo? Or get the unlock code while on Nougat, upgrade to Oreo and then unlock and root?
If you're not currently bootloader unlocked, then you'd be best to take the OTA. After that, you can unlock the bootloader and root. If you're already unlocked, then you'd probably be better off just getting a TWRP flashable oreo build and just flash that. I wouldn't take a TWRP backup from one phone and restore it to another, since it might cause issues with things like serial numbers and IMEI. You'd be better making a backup with Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant or something similar. Just remember that unlocking the bootloader will wipe the phone. So if you re-lock it, or it's not currently locked, make the backup before doing that.
Update to Oreo with LMSA, unlock bootloader then root. Make backup before all. LMSA will prompt you to make back up, I think.
