Bricked my phone by updating Magisk Manager - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Yesterday I've received a notification about the new version of Magisk Manager, clicked "install", the installation process has started, there was a warning "Boot partition space insufficient" (it used to be before I guess). The phone went to reboot, but turned off instead (or just screen off?). I holded the power button, but the phone did not turn on, pressed a combo of buttons, the phone turned on and got into endless boot (got stuck on logo). I rebooted it with buttons again and enter into TWRP, charge level was 68%. So decided to Wipe it, but after a few seconds the touch screen stopped responding so I couldn't. Tried twice, the same issue. Decided to reflash the firmware, turned the phone off via Power Off in TWRP, after that the phone stopped turning on (completely!). Does not react at all. Not charging, no leds, no vibro.. completely nothing. Seem to be hard bricked or even dead, don't understand why.
Update: no drops, no heats, no water.
I guess it's dead on flashing Magisk, not Manager, but I am not 100% sure.

but why touch stopped working? it might be a hardware problem and soft is jist a coincidence

I really have no clue why. Each time I tried to reboot and enter into TWRP, the touch was working for the first X seconds, 5 maybe... the strange thing is the phone was cold at the time.

Noob needs help: crash

Can someone help this noob? I rebooted my Prophet this evening and when I turned back on it displayed the typical ROM boot messages (ROM versions?) but with a rainbow background...and it is still stuck on that screen. What happened? It was working fine until this evening. What do I need to do to fix this?
TIA
Nevermind.
I think, you rebooted and pressed the comm manager button, so you went into bootloader. Try to make a soft reset, if this donĀ“t help, you must do a hardware reset.
I pressed the Comm Manager Button, the Camera Button and the Power Button and got it to reboot. Thing is, I turned it off afterwards and it is forever stuck on the bootloader screen. It may have gotten wet during yesterday's rain storm.

Phone doesn't react to anything, doesn't boot

I might have bricked my LG G2.
Here is everything I did:
-I rooted the phone with the IO root kit
-wanted to installed a recovery so I installed TWRP manager
-applied SD card patch
-tried to install recovery with TWRP manager several times but app always crashed
-installed SDK on the PC
-started adb and executed "adb reboot bootloader"
the phone got a backlight screen and hasnt been reacting so far.
When I held the power button the screen went black but sometimes the backlight appeard again. I don't know how to reproduce the backlight though.
adb can't detect the phone when connected to the PC.
As soon as I plug it in dozens of Partitions show up. Windows show an error message for each of these partitions. It says I have to format the volumes to use them.
After testing I realized that everytime i long-press the power button for a few seconds the windows errors start popping up.
When i long pressed the power button for 30+ seconds to completely shut it down the notification LED started blinking red 8 times in roughly second intervals. then there was a short break and the 8 blinks repeated.
Thank you for all help, it would suck to have a 1 day old phone broke...
You probably chose the wrong device in TWRP Manager. Choosing the wrong device can easily lead to a brick because TWRP Manager may attempt to flash to the wrong partition. The G2 does not have a TWRP Manager flash available due to loki, so you couldn't have chosen the right device.
Almost have the same problem... the only difference is my black screen is blinking continuously while it is connected to the mac... Seems like it tries to boot but gets blocked and retries in a loop. Tried around now for two evenings without any progress...
Anybody who can help?

My zuk self bricked and then self unbricked

Dear friends of xda,
let me say something first. i'm a possessor of a brand new zuk z1 since a week. from day 1 i've rooted it with kingroot and then switched to SuperSu because i didn't succed installing adb drivers on my laptop.
so i'm stock. no custom recovery no unblocked bootloader, just root permissions.
a week went by with no problem. just a couple of freeze here and there. nothing much.
today i was playing on my bed and suddenly the phone got really really hot. everything is frozen. i can only drag down the status bar. but if i press some icon or button nothing happpen. Ok i'm like well another freeze. i press and hold power button. screen get black. phone vibrate. aaaaaaaand i'm stuck at zuk screen. really?
after searching the web i tried to enter in recovery mode. after many tries i succed. so i tried to do a factory reset. it asked me if i'm sure, as i press yes the screen goes black for a while and then the phone reboot in recovery again. mmm strange. so i tried to wipe cache. it happen the same as before. it did not even asked me if i was sure. so i pressed 'power off' thinking that a real boot would repair the situation but no. my phone decided to self brick. ok. i throw in the towel.
so i decided to plug the charger in and went to do stuff.
when i come back home 3 hours later. i softly press the power button and the phone says it is at 99% . i tried to boot it up. and guess what? it boots normally. like nothing never happened.
so. what do you think is happened? i've some background but i've never seen something like this.
could be a problem of overheating? what should i do now? and what if it happens again?
sorry for the wall of text.
tl;dr: rooted phone get really hot. freeze. and after powering it off went in bootloop. nothing could be done in stock recovery. after some hour it booted up normally. what to do now?

Probably bricked LG G2 running SlimSaber

So basically this rom is awesome but it had only one problem. When I plugged my phone in the charger while it was turned off, it bootlooped until I restarted with the cable off. It was no big deal and nothing bad ever came out of it.
Yesterday my batter ran out while I was asleep and when I woke up it was already turned off. I, absentmindly, tried to turn it on, LG Logo, off again. Did it one more time, nothing happened, realized it's out of battery. Plugged in charger, try to turn it off/on, usual bootloop happens. Say ok and proceed with what I always did, phone gets past LG Logo, goes into SlimLP boot animation and for the first it has just stayed there. No restarts, just endless loading. Longest i Left it on to load was about 45 minutes. Never got back on.
Apart from that, I think that for some reason my recovery got uninstalled somehow, by itself, a few weeks ago. I only noticed this because before, when I wanted to get into recovery, I pressed the usual buttons and it went straight into TWRP. Now the same buttons take me to the "Factory reset screen". I know that everyone says to just go ahead and press power, but I am afraid, since I am not sure if TWRP is still functioning. This happened to me another time on the same phone, and when I confirmed the factory reset, it factory resetted.
My problem here is that I want to get my music and photos. I'm only able to enter that factory reset screen and download mode. Can I "flash" twrp safely from download mode? Should I use Flash Tool 2014 and Normal flash(which says it keeps the data) a stock g2 rom? Can I mount my phone to the computer in download mode to copy my files? I want the most risk-free approach.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, first If you can enter download mode I think you can flash kdz (Kitkat) file to stock using Flash Tool 2014. But I had this problem once and the keep data flashing didn't work (stucked at 50%), I ended up flashed it with other option (erased all data).
2. You can try the "Factory reset" nice and easy.
I think you can't see files on the device unless you enter Twrp.
It's wise to backup your phone on the computer montly or so, thank you.
I went ahead and nuked my download mode using the SRK tools. Then got access to fastboot, through which I booted to twrp and then I could move my files. All's fine, flashed my ROM again and it's going better than ever.

suddenly boot-loop, maybe after phone fell

ok
i've been usign whatsapp and suddenly my phone went into bootloop,
tried to enter fastboot, recovery
but he keeps on boot-looping after 2-3 sec of showing the fastboot-recovery icon.
i tried disconnecting the phone-battery-motherboard-etc, but he keeps going boot-loop, showing the first load screen, black screen, and so on and forth
any suggestions? never occured to me before , only after unsuccessful flashing, but like this? this is really weird.
i have a custom rom yes, but with it for a few months already , 0 problems.
p.s my phone fell on the floor few days ago, but had no problem since whatsoever
any clues on how to solve this?
i can't even get to flash via fastboot/recovery because it restarts when im there..
what could be the problem? the only thing pops into my head is that the restart key is pressed all the time, but is it possible?
I had the same problem, crazy thing. I couldn't even enter orange fox, got to the loading screen and got another reboot. I pressed power button fast many times and then worked. The power button seemed to be ok. The only thing that i had recently changed was the EAS version of the predator kernel. It may not make sense but i went back to HMP and now it's fine.
well! it worked lol
what is HMP? a kernel?
A type of kernel, the common one. Now i know that was not the reason!
Hello
I have the same problem as you and if someone has a solution, I will be very grateful !
I can use my phone but if I push to the power Button, it bootloop.
