Did you extract the zip into the 4 different files, AP, BL, CSC and I forget the 4th one. Then place them into the correct spots?

Yes and all 4 successfully loaded on odin, the phone was detected correctly, odin established communication but it was not able to write.

I was finally able to know the problem.
I was flashing wrong variant.
For example flashing Africa variant on us at&t gives complete write failure.
Flashing any at&t version worked. Both 6 and 7.
Better still I got this:- https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...7-0-g935uoym4bqd2-4-11-17-g935u-t3616834/amp/
So I managed to flash 7 with ota updates. Now am on bra1.

So you needed the international version. Nice.

Try flash back your origin country ROM. What had you tick at PC Odin?
and you mention TGY, if not wrong that is for Hong Kong.
Hong Kong N9005 is unfriendly with any others country ROM, it can't cross flashing.

I've never attempted to upgrade to 4.4.2.
I've just tried to flash with international firmware in order to get local language menu.
My Note 3 is SM-N9005 SFR, but I want to flash with SM-N9005 THL or XME. But flash fail every time, and it cannot go into normal screen, even recovery mode. I just stuck in Odin mode when I turn on my phone.

Hi, sorry to hijack, but how do I know if a ROM is going to be compatible with my phone?
I don't think the ROM thread would say what country's Note 3 it will be compatible/incompatible with, right? I'm getting a Note 3 and planning to flash a custom ROM.

What does it say on the "download mode" initial screen? (knox and the other flags).
Was the phone carrier-locked on SFR?

Yes, I've flashed (AP) MK2 BTU with Odin 3.09 and 3.04; but result still the same, Fail !!
I don't know that the first error (fail) was because I chose BL instead of AP or not.
I noticed that I did wrong after I clicked start button; and Odin told me Fail, then I flashed again with odin in AP with the same file.

What is the bootloader version of XME, TGY, THL firmware you have used to flash?
Make sure the bootloader of the firmware is being flash (BTU) should be equal or higher the bootloader version of the above firmwares.
You can not use a lower bootloader to flash over a higher one.

Help a NOOB that has tried everything in the forum to flash a stock rom

hi
I bought a secondhand galaxy S5. A have been trying to upgrade it to lollipop 5.0 but I have encounter all the possible problems you can. I start with the phones background (i am a new user so i cant post any images) because I am suspecting the first owner did root/update it with the wrong firmware(explain later). the phone is working fine except for the play store that is not working at all. so I just want a clean stock installation and after that I may root it later.

It's very clear, the previous owner has flashed 3 custom rom's on the device( knox 0x1(3) )and apparently the wrong one and i think that's the reason he sold it.
I think you need the right PIT file, you can google it or ask here for it.
BTW i'm Dutch too from Belgium.

Just a question, are you using a windows or a mac computer. Because sometimes stuff doesn't work when using a mac platform.

I have never had to flash a pit file, but reading the instructions, it says you need to be rooted and have busybox installed. If your status is official you aren't rooted.
QUOTE from posted thread
Here i will show you how to extract the pit file manually with a simple way using terminal emulator or adb shell command.
your phone must have a proper root access, with busybox installed (preferred).
Even better, why not post your question at the high lighted thread, including all you phone info and request the proper pit file.

How can i bypass this secure check?? maybe this is the problem?
Any ideas??? I appreciate all your help guys even if what we tried haven't solve the problem
*#06#
Enter *#06# in dialpad to check if the IMEI of your mainboard match with IMEI numbers printed in the back... maybe your mainboard was replaced with G900T's mainboard.
i just did what you said.... the imei are the same except for the last two digits after the slash....
the emei on the sticker ends with: ........56401/03
when using the *#06# code: ......56401/10
is this normal? of is this going to be the explanation to the problem??
also when i use *#1234# i get this:
AP: G900FZHU1AND1
CP: G900TUVU1CNK2
CSC: G900FZZH1AND1
so i think the CP doesn't match with my phone model right?
I also tried to do a firmware upgrade and initialization with ODIN 3 by putting my phone model and s/n and i get this message:
So I downloaded this firmware apparently for Hong Kong at sammobile. I tried to flash it with ODIN but... i still have the same problem i am unable to flash anything to the phone. the only thing i have manage to flash until now is PhilZ Touch 6.59.0 and this firmware which is FULL of bloatware:

If you have a custom recovery. Try to install a custom ROM like omega... It will flash new baseband, AP, kernel and csc... Backup current ROM first.

maybe a stupid question... but how can i flash it with a custom recovery? can you please explain? pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Download the ROM pakage (ZIP file) and don't extract... Copy the zip file to the root of External SDcard... Enter recovery mode, choose "install zip from External sdcard", browse the zip file, final choose install. Done! You should choose "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery to make sure the new ROM clean and not face any compatibility problem between old and new ROM.
Thank you very much!! Last question. Can i flash a european stock rom this way without any problems also? or does it only work with custom roms?

That's what you're doing wrong. Home CSC doesn't go to userdata. It goes as follows: BL to BL, AP to AP, CP to CP and CSC to CSC for a fresh installation. Home CSC would go to CSC, if you're upgrading from your current firmware. That would prevent from wiping your data. You only need 4 files.

I matched them up like you said but I'm still getting the same error, I'm trying to update from an older version so I'm using Home CSC, but I also tried the normal one. Maybe it's because I'm in an older version? Im trying to upgrade from QGL (Aug 2017)

This will help. This link is the OTA update CRB9 to CRC5 for anyone who is on build CRB9, trying to update to build CRC5. Just simply download the file, transfer it to your sd card, turn off the device, put the device in recovery by pressing volume up, bixby button and power button all at the same time for about 8 seconds. Scroll down to update by sd card, locate the CRB9 to CRC5 file, select the file and that's it. It will update and it will wipe your data. So please be sure to backup your data with the smartswitch app on your phone or smartswitch application on your computer, before applying the OTA update.

I've heard about installing the OTA files to update and that might work. I think I expressed myself incorrectly, I'm in version QGL and I'm trying to update to android 8 either RB9 or RC5, do you know where I could get the OTA files to go from:
QGL to QJC
QJC to QK5
QK5 to QL1
QL1 to RB1
RB1 to RB9?
BTW, the error I'm getting on Odin now is: <ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.

YES, that worked perfectly :good:! I had tried before updating to RB9 and had the same error that I had with RC5, but I didn't have the USERDATA file and with that it worked flawlessly, maybe that's why I couldn't update straight to RC5 and I needed the USERDATA file for that one

I finally got it to work with the help of @bboii86, what I did was use odin to install RB9 using the userdata he shared and then upgraded to RC5 with the OTA file he shared on this link:

The files for RB9 are here
User data for RB9 here
@l.hieunghia1999 try this as well, maybe it'll help

UN-Lock Samsung Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime SM-G570M (Android 7.0) 2018

Hi, I have a Samsung Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime SM-G570M, it is this year January 2018, with the new security level and Android 7.0, It has Operator (Claro!) and it comes from Colombia.
I need to UN-Lock it and they tell me, first that I degraded it to 6.0.1 to be able to Flash the Recovery CWM and after to rotate it with the Binary SuperSU, the problem is that all the positive attempts I have seen are with Android 6.0.1 and security of the year 2016 or 2017 and I do not know if it results with this Model 2018.
Try Odin3 Flashar but I get an error and have the Security Sector Enabled ("Secure Download: Enabled") in Download Mode:

Z3X Samsung Pro Tools has supported binary 2 since ~v31.1. I recommend using a system-less root to achieve the needed results and then reflashing to stock when done.
P.S. Ensure to enable OEM unlock in developers just in case.

This Kernel model in particular has not been left Rooted, when I try it comes out an error message in red, so I was told this model and year, with security 7.0, does not allow it and has to be released with the server requesting (or rellback) with a file that they send to be loaded and flashed with or executed by odin, since the phone does not allow the introduction of the unlock code by screen and keyboard of the mobile.
If I'm wrong or they've given me false information, I hope someone does it to me. Nobody wanted to give me true and valid information, probably to avoid spreading or lost money, I do not know!

[SM-G950F] Android Pie (9) downgrade to Oreo 8

Hey'll,
I'm sitting down here, trying to figure out how to downgrade my SM-G950F (Galaxy S8).
Well, acutally I tried all Firmwares (8.0) from SamMobile for Germany.
I'm always getting an Error on my downloader "SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE 5 BINARY 4" or when I try only "AP" I get this failor : "kernel rev. check fail device 4 binary 3".
USB-Debugging is ON.
I tried it with OEM Unlocking aswell.
I'm using the original cable with it.
Tried other ports.

You are try to downgrade firmware which you can't do.
You can only flash bootloader version 5 or higher ( 5th number from right of the firmware )

No. ( There maybe a custom rom that's Oreo favoured )
There are a few websites to down load firmware like Sammobil or updato. ( can be slow download though )
If you want the latest version of firmware you can use PC app call samfirm or frija.
friend same problem here, I'm wanting to install custom recovery, already everything is active oem and everything but is saying the issue of birary 5, I'm using android pie last version of November. I was told the question of 168hrs and such to be able to do the custom and I'm squeezing complete this time.
if anyone knows how to do it faster I'm waiting

Someone here on xda developed a new program to find and download the correct Samsung firmware called 'FRIJA'. which is the successor to Samfirm.
