J7 Pro TWRP Data Binding Issue - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

On the J7 Pro, TWRP is not connecting or displaying the "data" section. That's why I can not upload custom rum with Odin.
How can I solve this problem?

TWRP Data Issue

So I have the Nexus 6P rooted and unlocked. For some reason when I try to access files on my phone I can't find them via TWRP such as downloads to flash something. I went to advance and DATA cannot be checked. What should I do in order to resolve this so I can flash files from data?

Did you mount the Internal SD as read only? I had a similar issue and needed to do that first.

I figured it out, I needed two things to update my TWRP to 2.8.7.2 so it can allow encrypting and also Banks Gapps which works best in case someone needs help in the future.

TWRP wipes after flashing AOSP 9 Pie

Hello everyone I have recently flashed AOSP pie 9 ROM but after that my TWRP recovery gets wipe and stock recovery gets installed and after reflashing TWRP I can't flash magisk and get root access.
Edit: Issue solved. The solution with Magisk not appearing even after clean flashed on AOSP 9:
Step1: Flash TWRP with Tissot manager: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/treble-twrp-installer-treble-manager-t3793637 "Download" Note: You can leave Treble stuff and just flash TWRP
Step2: Goto Advanced and select Tissot Manager "Run"
After that flash magisk.
Note: It will also work on temporary TWRP but the with the @CosmicDan TWRP, it will get installed to both slot kernels so you don't need to hassle on selecting/changing slot.
Thank You!

Ask in the AOSP 9 Thread!!! Don't create one?
And just flash TWRP again. Not hard to think of.

Have you flashed the TWRP installer after the ROM, like on every other ROM for our A/B device with no dedicated recovery partition?

TWRP encryption

I'm unlocked, rooted & encrypted. I'm on 9.0.1. I updated TWRP through TWRP. Now it's not asking for password to decrypt. Seems like I had this problem before, but can't remember how I fixed it. Thanks for any help.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. If I could see my files in TWRP, I would reinstall previous version or a different one to see if that would fix it.
Do I have to use ADB on a computer & lose my data? Or Sideload? Did it before, but can't recall.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean with: That's what I'm trying to figure out. If I could see my files in TWRP, I would reinstall previous version or a different one to see if that would fix it.
You won't loose any data by flashing twrp. Just flash the recommended codeworkx twrp with your current twrp by either fastboot or USB otg(USB Stick).

@Topser99 has provided users with some new recoveries.
They all have TWRP 3.4
https://mega.nz/folder/e0UiASCa#RsLqnrMAf3uqWkvQdu1tcw
Choose the .img you want and flash it from your current recovery onto the recovery slot.
Then reboot into recovery.
Or choose the .tar and flash from odin
You must be aware though that your previous backups will not restore .
You should read this next section carefully.
TWRP recovery Incompatability Issue
There are 2 types of recovery:
TWRP 3.4 is incompatible with TWRP 3.3

Do you see Samsung modded splash screen ? If so you flash back to stock if you have your stock firmware at hand
