Odin failed sw rev check fail device: 3. Binary 2 - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hello XDA, today i want to flash stock firmware for my SM J730G/DS (J7 Pro/J7 2017)
Now I'm on Custom ROM running Nougat 7.0
I've already downloaded the correct firmware and correct region from sammobile.com (link here : , https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7-pro/SM-J730G/XID/download/J730GDXU2AQK1/198831/ ) there are 4 md5 files (BL, AP, CP, CSC)
But when i trying flash with Odin it is FAILED at "cm.bin" also usually at "param.bin"
Screen below attached.....
While failed, device screen shows message "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:3. BINARY:2" at Download Mode
I don't understand what it means.
Using other versions of Odin nothing changes, still fail.
Phone boot up normally but still at Custom ROM
Please anybody help
Thanks in advance.

Can't install firmware with odin... G950F

good evening please i need help. i am on last oreo firmware ITV (italian) CRF7. but i am non certified in PLAYSTORE. i want install a previous firmware and i am trying with nougat nobrand or a oreo, but always fail. i tried with home csc or other csc provided into zip file but no results. sometimes in display phone exit: check fail (bootloader) 2 binary IN RED.... can anyone tell me what can i do for unlock my problem? thanks

i get security patch update NOVEMBER now changed the all firmware letters.

my question is can i reinstall through odin this firmware? A510FXXS7CRJ6_A510FXEU7CRJ1_A510FXXU7CRJ6 before this firmware was on the phone when i get update change to- you see in photos. i had on pc firwmware A510FXXU7CRJ6 so can i reflashing when i got trouble? i asking because i try installed lower android binary with 7.0 android nougat. and FAILED because binary lower than was on the phone. and cm.bin is FAILED THROUGH ODIN )) example:
A510FXEU4CRJ1_A510FXXU4CRJ6 and cm.bin because binary lower than installed on the
They both have binary version 7, so I don't think there should be any problem flashing it. Otherwise you can download A510FXXU7CRK1 and flash with odin.

downgrade Galaxy S8

I have a Galaxy S8 and want to downgrade andriod to v8.0.0.0 (before march 2018) or andriod 7 if 8 is not possible.
The current firmware version i have is G950FXXU4DSE4 and i cant seem to figure out what firmware i need.
From the guid i was following all i need is the AP of a previous version and to flash it using Odin.
The firmware is reported as German(BST) so i tried flashing some firmware that meets that requirement:
G950FXXU1CRAP
G950FXXU1CRC7
G950FXXU1CRB7
G950FXXU1CRD7
But they all failed. I read that its to do with the boot loader version but i have tried just the AP, AP + BL and AP, BL, CP and CSC.
Using only the AP i get an error on the phone "Kernel Rev Fail. Device:4, Binary:1" (its either 3 or 4 for device) and trying to include BL just instantly fails on Odin (same error on phone)
Does anyone know the name of the firmware i need or how to downgrade to the v1 bootloader.
I am looking for Stock Rom (no root) as root causes issues with some apps that i need to use (like banking) and even majisk cant bypass the checks for them.

G950F - cannot flash System via ODIN

Hello,
I am unsuccessfully fighting with sotfbricked Galaxy S8 model G950F.
I've managed to flash via ODIN latest BL, CP and CSC, which makes stock recovery available.
So to sum up - only stock recovery and Download Mode works.
When flashing AP - no matter if correct file for latest firmware according to my CSC, or to other CSC files - Odin flashes almost 70%, then suddenly stops:
<ID:0/005> system.img
<ID:0/005> userdata.img
<ID:0/005> FAIL!
<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
On the phone it says then in Download mode "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(SYSTEM)" in red.
Has anyone successfully solved similar situation? Any ideas worth trying?
download the right firmware. check your latest firmware of phone model at sammobile.
Already did that. Downloaded almost 9 different firmware for either my carrier CSC or country CSC, but the error persists.
what binary your phone required?
What do you mean?
I've tried to flash G950FXXS7DTB5, G950FXXS7DTA6, G950FXXS7DTA1 for OPV and XEO regions.
it will work if you flash the right set of firmware.
It seems like right set of firmware doesn't work

G950FXXS7D numer 7 you must look in other firmwares
Every single binary 7 firmware is failing due to "only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(SYSTEM)" in red in Download Mode after trying to flash.

Only official binary error is probably due to flashing firmware not signed by Samsung. This can happen when bootloader is locked and/or rmm/kg state is prenornal ( flashing non Samsung firmware )
While flashing the correct Samsung firmware will normally get you out of trouble with the error message.
What odin version are you using?
Can you post a screen shot of download mode.
I've tried ODIN 3.13.1 , 3.14.4, 3.14.1 (patched), 3.12.7 in various firmware configurations.
Below screenshot of data from download mode (with KG State - Prenormal), and screenshot of the error after trying to flash AP.

I don't really get your point. Do you want to install the official firmware or a custom one? One easy solution would be to flash twrp and search the forum for a ROM you want to flash (there is even stock debloated ones that are better than total stock in my opinion). Can you please provide more details on what you are trying to achieve and what's the problem?

Anything above Odin version 3.13.1 should do, as they support .lz4 compression ratio.
You screen shots from previous post looks ok to be flashing stock firmware. With KG state being prenormal you will have issues flashing non Samsung signed firmware ie: twrp, root etc.
Since the Knox has been tripped do you know what has been done to the phone before. May provide some info on what is happening.
As a matter of interest have you tried Samsung Smart Switch to try and fix the issue. It does have a recovery option in there. Do you have latest Samsung drivers installed on PC.
Note: Running Smart Switch and Odin can cause issues with each other.

Flash official ROM problem "Check Fail DEVICE:13, BINARY:12 pit flash binary"

Hey Guys,
I'm attempting to flash the latest available version of S10+ (SM-G975F) software but get this error message "SW REV. CHECK FAIL (BOOTLOADER) DEVICE: 13, BINARY 12 pit_flash_binary - Unsupported Version." After a quick Google I learnt that it is due to attempting to flash older firmware than was on the device. However I'm using what appears to be the newest available firmware which I downloaded from Frija but checking other sources such as Sammobile it seems to be the latest available everywhere
Edit: I should add the version is called "G975FXXSEFUJ2/G975FOXMEFUJ4/G975FXXSEFUJ2"
Any help is much appreciated, thanks
Fixed by @hainguyenthao
How it was fixed? I got the same error. Thanks
I suspect this is knoxguard related. Try using heimdall
