google apps - maps not installing on cyanogen 7.1

hello all,
not been on here for a while, but wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue to mine. I have flashed the Cyanogen 7.1 mod and the gapps file from the cyanogen wiki. I have all the new google apps including google play appear in my menu but no google maps.
I hve downloaded google maps form google play but when installing I get the error "incompatible with other applications using the same UserID"
Does anyone have a simple fix for this one?
Regards
Graeme
i had the same problem. reflashing will help
Have you tried uninstalling maps, clearing the market cache then re-installing?
You might also want to try a re-flash of the gapps and maybe even of the rom.
im also having a similar problem, and those solutions found by googling and looking at random forums, hasn't worked. (they mostly said mount system...)
but, i dont get market or anything else. this is from a full wipe.
also tried flashing the ROM and then the gapps straight after ROMflash, also tried flashing gapps after i've done first boot. tried clearing cache and remove data on both tries also.

Unknown issue with Google Play services

I have this error "Unknown issue with Google Play Services" whenever I try to open Gmail... Couple of weeks ago, I skipped some updated and all my google related apps stopped working.. gmail, chrome, photos.. I somehow managed to fix them by uninstalling and reinstalling but gmail is not getting fixed. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a bunch. Cheerz

If you are on a custom ROM I would suggest reflashing your GApps by first wiping system, then dirty flashing the ROM and then flashing the GApps. Then wipe cache and dalvik and reboot.
I do not have custom ROM, however I do have twrp installed..

GT-I9505 misbehaves after flashing twrp

My S4 is misbehaving since i installed twrp on it. No other modifications were made before that, so it's a bit puzzling since i haven't found other threads about this.
My problem is that after installing twrp many applications have stopped working or have disappeared altogether, including whatsapp, google play services, google play, etc... As a workaround i've tried re-installing opengapps (mini and stock) and clearing cache/data for Google Play and Services, but that didn't work.
My first guess was that twrp somehow messed up the userdata folder, but some applications there work just fine and it wouldn't make a lot of sense for installing twrp to do that, so i'm at a loss. I still haven't tried a factory reset yet and if possible i'd prefer to fix the problem rather than reinstalling, so any help would be highly appreciated.
Twrp was installed following cyanogen mod's wiki instructions ( https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_jfltexx ) from linux.

[Q] Settings app crashing???

So tonight I tried the new Cm13 that got updated, doing a full wipe. All went good after a bit of testing, finding that the camera bug I already knew about was there, but after installing a few of my apps that I had before at the same time I tried installing some unofficial ones from .apks, Google Services Framework started crashing and my launcher, Trebuchet also did, so as the settings when I tried getting into the apps screen to try wiping data and cache for the settings app. So I got stuck there. Luckily I had a backup and succesfully restored to my last ROM with most of my data back. I did try anything I could think of to stop the crashing, except flashing another Gapps package. I did try reflashing the same with no success to fix the crashes. On the thread it recommended the Nano package because that provided you with the option to hold home button to Screen Search...
Thank you for any answers. BTW I also tried wiping those apps data trough Titanium Backup with no succes, again. :crying:
How do I stop Google Framework Services and settings (when entering app management screen) from crashing?

After January Security Update various Google Apps are crashing. Plz Help.

Friends, I updated my Mi A1 to January Security Patch a few days ago. But then Google Now started crashing, then Google App refused to open coz of error Google Stopped, Assistant crashed as well, Gmail stopped, Google Opinion Rewards stopped, third party app like bluemail stopped.
This was very irritating. I cleared cache of Google App, Google Play Services, uninstalled their updates but nothing worked.
So at last I made a backup of the data and reset the phone. Hoping that it'll solve the problem. And actually it did untill I update the Gapps to lastest version and again Google App, Assistant, Gmail, Google rewards started crashing.
Again had to take a backup and reset the phone. Now I havent updated any GApp and no crashing till now.
I dont know why it is happening. Any concrete solution please?
try factory reset , without restore data.
or
try flash use miflash.

But this notification "Android System: Google Play Store is running in the background" is a new annoyance. Is it normal? (Never saw it for Play store before)
