G1 hangs after 1.6 update

Hello,
For the third time in one month, my G1 device hangs on the boot screen.
I've send the phone to tmobile two times and they fixed it.
When it comes back, it has firmware 1.5 CRB43.
But now the problem:
After a while, the phone comes up with an notice that a download is ready
(1.6), i choose install, the phone reboots a few times and then gets stuck on the boot screen. I don't know how to fix this or what is causing this problem.
I never rooted the phone, just using the official OTA updates.
I just don't understand why the official OTA 1.6 update is causing this to my official Tmobile G1 phone (bought in the shop).
Anybody who has an idea to get my phone to work again?
I can acces the recovery mode, but reset doesn't fix the problem.
You would have been better off getting cyan rom if you have root, since ota 1.6 is laggy like hell.

try manually flashing the OTA. you can download the update from here
http://getyourdroidon.com/builds/ota/signed-kila-DRC83-from-CRC1.c41b93c1.zip
rename it to update.zip and place it on the root of your SDcard
boot up your phone holding Home+Power
Press Alt+L
Press Alt+S
(it should say something about updating)
your phone should reboot automatically
pm if you need anymore help/clarification
@B-man007,
Okay, i've tried the file you said.
It says (in this order):
Finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
Installing update
Installation aborted
So it doesn't install that file, really quick after the installing update the screen flashes and it says installation aborted.
I have an dutch (european) phone, your file looks like an usa update.
I also tried an EU version, but it gives the same error.
The problem is, i don't know which firmware version is on the phone right now.. I guess something between CRB43 and DRC92. Or maybe it has no firmware at all because it just hangs on the opening screen.
@Ace42, i don't have root, never had. Just using official OTA updates.

goto unlockr which is here for root.

I've tried that website, but it's not working in my case.
Trying to install the original SPL gives an error (no signature files found).
I also can't install the Original DreaIMG.nbh file, it keeps saying:
00028002 not allow in bootloader.

Verizon note 3 softbrick maybe?

Ok I have looked all over the web and tried many things but am not able to boot. When I do try to boot I get the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use Software Repair Assistant & try again." message.
What I had done so far to get to this point is I rooted my phone with Kingo and that worked fine. I had not updated my phone with the OTA update but eventually tried to update cause it was asking all the time and was annoying. That ended up failing but was still able to use phone with Kingo root and still asking for OTA update. I then tried to flash back to stock but that failed with "SW REV CHECK FAIL : [about] Fused 2 > Binary 1" and now I boot to the error i mentioned at the top and am not able to flash any stock rom I have found. Always get that error or sometimes I get a MD5 check sum error when trying to use some roms I'm found on XDA. Any help would be great I use this phone for work.
Thanks all
Fixed
Finally found a rom that I was able to flash to phone and got it back up and running. Not sure why but all my apps where still on my phone.

[Q] T-Mobile Lollipop update failed

I've tried installing the latest update three times, but it keeps failing (it failed at 25% installation the first try and 30% the second try, and 25% on the third). The phone boots up normally and has the message "Failed to update software. Update failed. Your device will recover the original configuration". Has anyone else encountered this, or know how to fix this?

I am manually downloading the firmware right now and will report back. I will also be mirroring the 5.0 firmware for everyone so we have more channels to download it from

I am having the same issue.. Have tried once so far and it failed. On the Galaxy Note III. I will try to see if I can install it manually as well and update this post.
Thank you
Used the Samsung Kies app and updated via my laptop and usb cable. Took a long time but it was successful. Now I am hoping to get writable access to my SD card.. fingers crossed.

OTA update NXT-L29C432B581 update failed

I'm from Canada. Got the OTA update notification today. It downloads, and verifies it. Phone then restarts, starts installing the update and at about 71% when it switches to "verifying update package" it errors out with "Software Install Failed". Phone is not rooted. ive tried like 7 times and different wifi networks. After each restart, the phone re-downloads the package again. Any thoughts?
this is the fix, read exactly and read the answers of the users -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/mini-review-nxt-l29c432b581-guide-how-t3620079
After download, stop WiFi and switch on mobile data. May be this move to help you updated successfully. Good luck.

Ive tried a factory reset to try and fix it but it still shows the same error
Does anyone know how to fix it? Ild really appreciate the help. Also my device isn't rooted
