Stock firmware for SM-G900A - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi. I have a G900A whose battery life became terrible. I have done a factory reset AND bought a new battery, and it became better (if before that when I would turn it off for night it will fall from 100% to 86%, now it's to 94%) but still, even with minor usage I have to charge it 2-3 a DAY. My android version is 5.1.1, and after a google search and in sammobile the newest version was 4.4.2, so I thought if anyone has a link to the 6.0.1 version. Thanks!

[Q] Unbranded Galaxy S5 battery drain after firmware update

Hi,
First a small warning: I'm quite the noob when it comes to these things, so if the problem actually has an easy and logical fix, my bad!
Since updating my unbranded, unrooted Galaxy S5 yesterday, I've got a massive battery drain. Before the update, the battery would make it up to 60 hours with moderate use. Since updating to G900FXXU1ANG8 though, It's been draining about 10%/hour. Is this a common problem with the new update? (Tried to google it, but didn't find anything about battery drain) Is there anything I could do? Or perhaps set it back to the previous firmware? Also I have the finger scanner unlock activated (which has also been updated), but I'm guessing that's not the problem.
Details:
Unbranded unrooted Galaxy S5
Model: SM-G900F
4.4.2 KitKat
Firmware: G900FXXU1ANG8
Do correct me if I did anything wrong!
Thanks in advance.

It is always recommended to do a data factory reset after an upgrade to start fresh and get rid of old files. I would try that if i we`re you and see if that helps.

Lg G2 lollipop Charging rate ?

Hello there,
My international version D802 just came back from the Cloudy rom to the stock jellybean through the tot method, then upgraded through the ota to the latest version of android ( 5.0.2 ) and it has the official v30b rom. The only alteration is that the device is rooted. My issue is that the device seems to charge quite slowly. In the past it was able to fully charge in about an hour and ten minutes in comparison to its current state which seems to take almost two hours. The only thing i have tried so far to do is, to do a factory reset which did not seem to do anything in particular. I'm using the original LG charger which is rated for up to 1800mah . The device also seems to warm up quite a bit during the charging phase. Could that be a potential reason for the slow charging and if yes, what can i do about it?

Charging problem

I has just updated my g7-l01 to marshmallow, I noticed that the device takes to much time to charge, is there any solution? Is there anyway to go back to lollipop as marshmallow doesn't afford any new feature.r

Nougat finally available - Upgrade or not? Downgrade possible?

We finally received the nougat update for S7 Edge in Denmark (this means Exynos version, SM-G935F). But should I upgrade or not? I like my current version, I heard battery time is worse on nougat and so on?
Also, would it be possible for me to try nougat out and then downgrade to marshmallow if needed?
downgrade should be possible but only with custom ROM i guess Battery was good at start 7-8 hours but now I'am back to 5-6 h sot with my normal usage, and started to get some google play stops... Will try to do a factory reset because I see a lot of junk from MM like people edge, that should be removed with Nougat?
You can flash any stock rom with Odin and thus you can downgrade to Marshmallow if you like.
The battery usage is much improved in Nougat.

Snapdragon or Exynos? I'm using an N910C (Exynos) on the latest update and get 5hrs+ of Screen On Time. Make sure if you're buying a new battery that it is a genuine Samsung, or buy Anker or PowerBear. Don't use fast charging.

check battery health. there are few apps on the play store to find this out... if it is in good health, you need to re-caliberate your battery - for this too there are several apps available.
if the battery health is not good, then consider buying a new battery.

I think your battery is not original. Because now a days very cheap and A class B class and C class batteries are selling. Purchase a genuine battery.
Or try to do factory reset and give it a day to settle down all stuff. Also charge with a genuine or high quality charger. Also note if any app is draining battery then uninstall or disable if you don't use or update. Try to turn off location, mobile data, nfc, sync and smart stay if you don't use them frequently or turn them on when you need. Also turn off S pen detection in S pen settings. Good luck.
