[Q] how to boot into recovery

Hey,
i've installed cm9 and i changed the lcd density with a program from the market. But now, Trebuchet force closes. So i can't open the lcd density changer app to revert the density to 160. I've tried a factory reset, but that did not solve the problem.
As i can't open any apps right now, i can't use ROM manager to boot into recovery. (it's deleted by the factory reset anyways). So i have to boot into recovery using a key combination, but i can't find the correct combination. I've searched and tried all methods i found, but all to no avail.
So (sorry for the long intro), what's the key combination i have to use to boot into recovery?
any help is greatly appreciated
Vol down + N on power up gets you to boot manager, select boot into recovery and you should be good to go.
ok, i've managed to get into the boot menu, but now i see:
boot device: eMMC or SD
Boot Mode: Normal (uImage/Ramdisk) or Alternate
what do i select to get into recovery?
Change to Boot Mode: Recovery (uRecImg/UrecRam)
The other option is to boot to the OS, sideload another launcher to see if the density settings will work with it.

[Q] Can't boot after changing boot animation

I have an unlocked/rooted WIFI only 16GB. I changed the boot animation and restarted my device. I get the Google startup screen then nothing but black screen afterwards. I can reboot into recovery, but if I have my computer connected I can not change the options (reboot, recovery, power off, ect...) without the computer connected it seems that nothing in recovery mode seems to work.
I know that the new boot animation is my issue. My original boot animation was just renamed, but is in the same file.
How can i delete my new boot animation file and rename the original one?
Fastboot mode details...
HW Version - ER3
bootloader version - 3.34
Lock state - Unlocked
Have you tried using sdk tools to push a stock boot animation?.if you cant select any options from the bootloader screen, you can use cmd from sdk and try your luck.

[Q] Nexus 7 (2012) - Converting to f2fs - stuck on google screen - bootloop?

a few times now over the months with my nexus 7 (2012) i have tried to convert to fsf2 with twrp manually and always seem to get stuck on the google screen for over 5 - 10 minutes, only once from my first try after simulating a battery pull (holding all the buttons down) I got past the google screen in normal quick time, but after trying my first reboot i got stuck on the google screen again. How long is the google screen at most supposed to be on the screen for before launiching the rom boot screen after converting to f2fs? Is the google screen bootlooping?
Most recent try at converting...
Reboot into TWRP (2.8.3.0) recovery
Wipe the system, data, cache, dalvik cache
Change system, cache, and data (one at a time manually) from EXT4 to F2FS
Reboot Recovery
In main TWRP menu, hit "Mount", and "Enable MTP" if it is not already enabled
Drag the two zip files you downloaded into the TWRP folder
Hit "Install", find the "TWRP" folder
Select the Slim group zip and swipe to flash
Go back and select the gapps zip and swipe to flash
Reboot the system
Wait a few minutes to boot up
stuck on google screen????
-Added Notes-
have tried rebooting into recovery and get stuck on the google screen as well
only able to get into bootloader (3.34) (Do I need to update Bootloader img?)
also my nexus 7 was from the first round shipments so its super old

(Help) LG G2 cracked screen/soft brick

Bottom half of the screen is cracked which makes it very difficult to " swipe to" do anything in TWRP. I locked my device and was unable to unlock with backup pin because the keyboard does not function properly. So I rebooted into recovery and accidentally wiped Calvin Cache, System, Data, Internal Storage and Cache. Rebooted phone and it's stuck in a boot loop. I tried using adb but I could not get it to swipe into adb sideload. I found that connecting the phone to my PC does open up /SDCARD/TWRP but there are no other folders in /SDCARD. I moved a ROM from my PC to the TWRP folder and was able to flash it but got stuck in boot loop. Tried flashing a different ROM and it shows a new loading screen but still stuck in boot loop. No other folders are being created to SDCARD.. Haven't had this pphone for more than a week.... Was thinking I could maybe flash a non touch TWRP or CWM to avoid having to swipe to get things done and use the hardware keys.. but why is it being stuck in boot loop after it says it successfully flashed the ROM.
I did flash the 30b file it says to flash prior to flashing the 2 custom lollipop ROMs in the tmo dev forum. Any help, links, advise would be much appreciated. Thanks.
