No sound headphones Output Jack - LG Stylo 2 Plus Questions & Answers

Hello guys, I hope that I'm not repeating threads but I did research and couldn't find anything. I have the LG Stylo 2 Plus MS550 Metro Variant I received as a gift. Was broken screen so I fix it and it's perfect now. But the thing is now that I'm using it I found out there's no sound through the headphones jack. This phone is 100% stock and bootloader locked (never opened). I have read in my research that there are some builds with this problem but I don't know if happens the same with stock ROMs. This phone is running Android 7.0 with kernel 3.18.31. Do you have any clue? Thanks in advance

Nevermind guys, it is hardware related. I managed to fix it. Close thread, please.

Wizard Earpiece stopped working, Please Help.......

Hey Guys, the new "OFFICIAL" ROM has been great!!! Unfortunately the last two days I started to encounter a problem with the earpiece of my 9100 not funtioning, what I mean is that I can only recieve and make calls via speakerphone. I'm not too sure what thread saw it in, but I believe I recall other people running into this problem(cant exactly say for sure if it was ROM related.) I was just wondering if anyone ever experienced this after the install of the latest ROM. I have installed the same exact programs to the same exact place as my original ROM(which never had this problem). Could this be hardware related? :?: I hope some one could shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it. My last resort is to due a hard reset, and if that does'nt work ship it out for warranty repairs. Also I have not dropped or mishandeled my device in any way.
Regards,

loud speaker problems

hello i receive my g1 yesterday. very happy so far. only problem i notice. is that my speaker stops working. what i mean is that one moment the speaker works and after some second i hear a little noise and stops works. after some seconds is working again. and this is happening all the time. does any body had this problem before
Need to post some info in order for us to help.
what info do you need ?
does anybody knows whats the problem with my speaker.? or if somebody has the same problem
the info he means is did you root it? what rom are you on?
I have the same problem. It's happened twice on me now after the phone has been booted up for about 70 hours both times. Pretty much this is what happens for me...
Out of no where I notice that my Loud Speaker volume just weakens tremendously and becomes slightly crackly (very feint) as if it can't play at that volume anymore. After a reboot it works like normal. Although I don't know whats causing the problem. I'm on stock cupcake firmware right now.
Yea addiosamigos was right. I was asking about if your phone is rooted? What rom are you using? Did you do any audio hacks? And anything else helpfull that you might have done to your phone.
Hello sorry for the delay. Yes my phone is rooted and iuse acyanogen 4.01 rom now I didn't do any audio hacks. The problems existed before I rooted the phone. And two day ago my earpiece speaker died also. Don't know what's happening with my g1. Does anybody know where I can find spare parts for my g1

If it has happened on the stock rom and custom roms and wipes or different roms don't solve the problem then most likely a hardware issue. I would contact T-Mobile or HTC for a warranty replacement before trying to fix it yourself. The phone is still under a year old so its still covered.
unfortunately in my country there is no t-mobile and the phone i bought it from ebay

You can still contact HTC and see if they will cover it. The phone is still under a year old.

HTC HD2 TMOUS Version, Speaker Problem!

I have a TMOUS 1024mb version of the HD2. The problem I'm having is, When I got the phone, the external speaker wasn't working. I used it for a few weeks, then after a hard reset, the speaker works!! Then after it freezes up, another hard reset, and no more speaker!! So I tryed installing Oz's ROM yesterday, and it works great, but no external speaker. Any ideas ?
Wow, no replys to this? I know theres a million people that have the same issue? Surely someone has found the software issue that's causing it! Any rom's that fix it? or any way to tweak anything ot get sound out of it? Been stuck with mine with no external speaker for almost 2 months now!! And no, I bought it second hand off a friend, so theres no sending it back for a new one. The speaker sound did come back for a short week or so, but after it froze up again, and reboot, it's gone! sad face! so any info would be great!

Please Help- No audio on Moto G4 Plus (Completely zero sound)

Hey Guys,
Now my Moto G4 Plus is facing a weird issue. No Sound from speaker and headphone. The microphone is also not working.:crying:
But the bluetooth headset is working Fine.In the first time of occurrence, a restart solves the issue. But after some restarts, the method of restarting is not working for gaining or achieving sound. Now my phone have zero sound. But some times the phone's speaker, headphone and microphone(everything works fine).
I thought it was a software issue. Therefore, i tried all ROMS including Stock(Marshmallow & Nougat) and Custom ROMS. Unfortunately the flashing didn't fixed the issue.
You guys may think that it's a hardware issue. But if it's a hardware issue, then how the phone was completely operational without any single bugs at sometimes(Perfectly fine at those times).
What's not working now:
*External speaker
*Headphone jack
*Microphone
Please Help Guys

The problem is after the June Security Patch update which have upgraded the Bootloader (bootloader once upgraded can't be downgraded). Therefore I can't relock the bootloader(still there is no firmware from Motorola built with June security patch).I have warranty. But if the problem is with the motherboard, it'll take 60% of the phone's entire price to replace it
Just to confirm, you've performed a factory reset, cache wipe and without any apps (besides the stock apps), and you still get the speaker/microphone issue?
Is the headphone jack clean as well?

Yeah exactly.I can also hear the 'Hello Moto" booting up sound sometimes. Don't know whether it's a software issue or a hardware issue.

I did the same on a friend's XT1644 and still no sound.
I think the problem is worse. Sometimes the phone boots with the Hello Moto bootanimation, with sound. Other times, the same bootanimation without sound. Most of the times, the phone boots with a static blue motorola logo.
Sometimes audio work on headphones. Most of the time doesn't.
I've flashed the stock ROM with june security patch and I can't downgrade because the bootloader is new.
Any tips?
I had the same problem in my moto G4
My problem was a hardware problem, earphones plug did not have contact because I polished my camera glass with toothpaste and all inside was a toothpaste mess, I cleaned all contacts and magic! It works! Maybe you have a hardware problem, issue in the plug or speaker
I'm having the same problem, phone boots with a static blue motorola logo, no sound, no mic. I just got the phone though and it worked for about 2-3 weeks. I would have thought if it was a security patch in June I would have gotten it sooner and had problems right away.
Hi guys, i will try a solution for this bug, but i need of the folder proc/asound, can anyone disponibilize for me?
Sorry my bad english, i'm brazilian.
Has anyone found a solution. Please inform soon even I'm facing this issue.
Did anyone find solution for it. Having same problem.

I think you are write but yesterday when I was listening to music with a pair of earphone connected to Moto g4 plus. And when I removed them then the sounds were not coming from speakers. After that I do a factory reset and the problem was solved.

I have what appears to be the same problem. I have an XT1625 running Android 7.0, security patch level 1 April 2018, build number NPJS25.93-14.7-8. The phone is bone stock. Bootloader has always been locked.
My problems began when the phone began to reboot on its own two or three times a week, then I noticed I had no audio from time to time, and a reboot restored the audio. Then I ended up with no audio at all, where I am now.
I have booted into safe mode with no improvements, then performed a factory reset. The phone boots most of the time now with a static blue motorola logo, and I notice that the screen dims about halfway through the boot process. When the phone finishes booting, I get the following notification: "Configuring your mobile network retry x of 5" after it retries 5 times, that notification goes away.
No application requiring sound works. I can send a text via Hangouts, but when I try a voice call using hangouts, nothing happens.
I'm thinking the phone is now a toy for my granddaughter, but I thought I'd check in here in case anyone has any related information.
Thanks for any help.

Earphones button + mic not working.

Running stock Oxygen OS 3.6.1 and stock kernel. Magisk as well.
Purchased the 'Soundmagic E10C' earphones yesterday, link : "https://www.amazon.in/Soundmagic-E10C-In-Ear-Earphones-Black/dp/B01H3F0S5G?th=1".
Got it today however the buttons (Vol Control) and the mic don't work.
It came with a computer adapter and a mobile adapter. I tried using all port combinations but nothing worked. My mothers Samsung something.. that runs fricking 'Bada OS' had no issue with it.
Sound is amazing but I'd like to get what I paid for....thus here I am.
Any fixes ? A similar problem on searching the forums of the Oneplus One was fixed by build prop editing and changing some root files.
Would any of you guys know what am I supposed to do ?
p.s : Already done a cache + data wipe, I had no hopes of that fixing it anyway.
Also I'd be greatful if someone could explain to me the compability of why some phones work with it but some don't.
Did you find a solution? I have the same problem with same headphone model.
I'm having the same problem with my new 'Beyerdynamic Byron' earphones which are specifically for Android devices. The buttons and mic work fine with Samsung and Mi phones.
Hey guys,
I've had the same issue.
I did a whole bunch of troubleshooting and this is where I'm at...
1. My old soundmagic e10c worked (and still work fine), but I had to replace them, because one side went silent.
2. I bought two e10c's, one e11c and one beyerdynamics byron, and had to return them all because the remote didn't get recognised on any of them. All of them worked on any other android phone I tried though.
3. I sent in my phone in with the beyerdynamics earphones to get inspected and the verdict was that they were simply not compatible.
4. I got the headphone jack replaced, which didn't fix it.
5. I'm on a rooted oxygen os, but reflashed stock os and flashed android O to see if that would do anything and it did nothing.
6. Now I bought the hifiman re400 with a single button remote, which have great great sound (but really bad build). The one-button remote works fine on my oneplus2, but one of the drivers is already going quiet.
I don't understand why my old pair works and all the new ones don't...
Anyone have any idea what could be happening?
Thanks,
Yannick
