takes about half an hour or so as far as I can remember 8/10

Charges really fast, thanks to 18W charger. Although on cable connected to computer, very slow

You compare 9v 2A(18w) vs 5v 0.5A(2.5W) PC usb? ...obviously it's slow with a pc charge

From mathematical standpoint 30 mins for 0-100% is impossible with 18W charger, let me make it a bit clear
It has a 3.800mAh battery or 3.8Ah for short, which means if it had a 5v 3.8A charger it would take 1 hour if the charger and delivery system(cable+chips inside phone etc) were delivering 100% efficiency. Now 5v 3.8A is 19W charger. For half an hour we need 5v 7.6A or 38Watt.
According to Quick charge which is present in this phone it can be charged at 9v 2A or 18W, so even if the phone has 100% efficiency it would take a bit more than 1 hour to complete 0-100% but because each system can't deliver 100% efficiency calculate to 1hr and 1-20 mins give or take
P.S. half an hour, wish but ain't possible unless we have 9v 4.2A charging with 100% efficiency(or 5v 7.6A if you prefer) - Still going to get this phone soon(if price drops to my desire)

Just charged 25% to 100% took around 1 hour

I have here the test i made 100% to 11% took 6h34m SOT, charging from 11% to 49% took 25 minutes from 11% to 82% took 59 minutes, from 11% to 98% took 1h36m.

Just tested with LG V20's Fast Charger of 18W.
Fast charging works. confirmed.
But not with OnePlus 3T's Charger.
Will check the same with 5T's Charger and Update.

Yes OnePlus 3T, 5T does not work.
Also I was charging N7+ from 18% via LG V20's Charger and it got overheated and started malfunctioning. But thankfully there was a circuit breaker and protection circuit in LG's Charger which saved it. Device is working fine too. Now I am using the nokia charger provided in the box as none are working.

So that means if something happens to the current charger provided with the phone, we will have to buy a Nokia branded charger and cable or there would be issues. Hmm

I am usimg my one plus 5T's cable and it is working fine...

I'm using an old HTC charger and a anker quick charger and all work fine.

Well, my Nokia 7 Plus charges quite fast but it gets very hot while charging. Today it overheated and started beeping.
I'm using original Nokia charger that came with the phone.

I also meet this using oem cable. With nokia original cable is no issue.

I just got this device Thursday not a Dual SIM device
It charges fully in about 1hr and 30mins of charging adds quite a bit of power to the battery
if we use a PC it takes ages

is it safe to use fast charge daily?

Can we charge the device by a standard charger having 5v 1 amp rating with the USB type c cable plugged into it?

Yes, i use mine from a tablet at 5v and 1.5A. You can use any charger if it is 5v or if it is turbopower o fastcharge.

I also use my old LG's charger. 5v @1.8A. Im not really that into charging speed. One thing i noticed is that on both chargers when reaching 100% it says charged but still charges for another 15minutes before the charging icon (flash) disappears from the screen. Has anyone else noticed this?

Honestly I feel like this is not quick charge 3.0 even though the 835 processor and the device supports it. The charger that comes in the box is only 1.8amps output. Compare that to 2.0amps output with my Galaxy S7 charger and even 3.0amps output on my Nexus 6P charger. So it's not really more than the standard 1.5amp output of most cell phone chargers today and less output than other chargers that come with quick charge compatible phones.
Over all it takes around 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge it from 20% to 100% with the charger it comes with. Keep in mind that's if you're not using it while it charges. If you are using the phone while it charges on about 70% brightness, then about double that time to charger from 20% to 80%. I might try with the Nexus 6P 3.0amp charger later to see if it makes any difference.
So right now I give this only a 6 out of 10 for charging. So 3 stars.

Ran my phone down to 3%. Hooked it up to my QC 3.0 charger. Doing a timed 60 minute charge, I unplugged the phone at 82%
To be honest my last phone was a note 5 I just upgraded to v10 an I personally think that it charges just as fast, I put my my old samsumg fast charger to my USB-C an it registers at fast charging, charges while I play mmorpg, so GG I'm happy

I only tried it with a Samsung Galaxy S7 charger, which is
2.0 amp output instead of the stock V30 charger at 1.8amp output. So slightly more output.
It looks like no matter what charger you use above 1.8amp output, then the V30 is still going to only use 1.8amp charging rate. I think the phone is programed to limit it. Which is sad because I do not think it charges quite as fast as my S7 Edge.
When I plug the stock V30 charger with the phone at 5% it gives me a ETA of 1 hour 46 minutes. That seems awfully long time for quick charge 3.0 on a battery that is only 3300mah. It should be about 20-25 minutes LESS than that I think. According to LG it should be faster from their graphic at the release show of the V30. See attachment.
Although its possible a future software update could fix this though. So lets hope. I also might reach out to LG and ask them about this.

The little lightning bolt with a circle around it? Yes.
It also says "fast charging" in the notification instead of just normal "charging" when I plug in a regular charger.

Don't have a V30 right no, i've just compared the speed with the one seen on my G6, a 5-10% i have 1:50 for full charge without QC, for V30 you'll have to wait someone else...
quick charge feature is available only with original charger or by using power bank too ?
The Galaxy S7 adapter charges only at 9V/1.67A, for 15W of power.
The LG should come with a 9V/1.8A, for about 16W of power. Also, it may only quick charge with the screen off. It will drop to 5-10W with the screen on.
ummm...you should always check the voltage, not only the amps... (voltage multiplied by current equals power).
the best way to check is by using one of those USB thingies which measure V and A.
I'm pretty sure that v30 comes with qc 3.0 charger, so it definitely is a fast charger for that 3300mAh battery.
If I am not mistaken, the supplied charger is Quick Charge 3.0 compliant. But LG limited the charging to just 9V/1.8A, for total power of 16W.
The estimate on my v30+ at 7% battery is 1 hour and 43 min. In 15 min it charged 11% only.
Definitely slower than the galaxy note 4 I had previously.
The charger mine came with is 3amp and takes 45 min to fully charge

Ok I'm not saying you're bullshittin', but 3A gives 3Ah per 1h, or 3000mAh in one hour and since the V30 has 3300mAh battery, it must take over an hour to fully charge (even if it charges max speed constantly 0-100%), so yeah you're bullshittin'.

Yes! Very good point! What I have found is that it does charge pretty fast with the stock charger when you are NOT using the phone at all. Charges around 45% in 30 minutes from my testing. So pretty good!
However when I'm using my phone it takes about double the length of time. About an hour to get the same 45%. So I did a test to see what the heck was going on.
First I bought an Anker quick charge 3.0 18W adapter. So it is rated 2 watts higher than the stock LG charger. The Anker charger has output ratings of
3.6V-6.5V / 3A, 6.5V-9V / 2A, 9V-12V / 1.5A
I also bought a nice braided JSAUX cable rated up to 3Amps to make sure I am also using a cable that does not restrict the charge flow.
My results are about the same with that charger and cable despite it being rated 2 watts higher than stock LG charger. About 45% in 30 minutes when not using the phone and about 45% in 60 minutes when actively using the phone.
I also used an app to measure the charging current when not using the phone and when using the phone, and you are right. LG is for some reason limiting the Amps to only about 1.2A and 5V when using the phone, but then about 2.4A and 5V when not using the phone. I never saw the voltage go higher than about 5.1V. Assuming the app was accurately measuring the charge.
So I guess LG limits the charge when the phone is in use to keep the battery and phone from over heating while processor and display is working more? If so, it's obvious to me that they limit the charge while the phone is in use a good bit more than my 6P or S7 edge did. Hopefully with the upcoming Oreo update the charging rate is increased a little while the phone is in use.
When I had the phone, I measured with a USB meter. I was using a charger that's similar to your Anker, up to 18W.
With the phone or screen off, it charges at 9V/1.8A.
With the screen on, it charges at 5V/2A for 10W. But depending on what you're using the phone, eg. Watching videos or playing games, and your screen brightness, the effective charge is likely lower than 10W.
Since then, I've always developed the habit of not using my phone while charging.

2 Hour With Stock Charger
I didn't completely check the ratings and time but stock charger DOES NOT fast charge this phone. as the Stock Charger isnt QC2.0 Supported. However this mobile does support QC2.0 but you'll have to test QC2.0 Charger 1st. Not all QC2.0 Chargers work on this mobile. Its a little picky. So go to a shop check QC2.0 Chargers on your mobile. when you get circle Sign on notification bar along side battery then it means that device is fast charging. if not then there will be no circle around the charging sign (Flash sign)
also idt this mobile supports QC3.0 but i dont have tools to check amps volts of charger.
Lenovo's original QC3.0 charger doesnt work on this phone. I've tested. but Motorola's QC3.0 Charger works fine.
my rn5 pro , takes apporx 3 hours to charge completely!
So far I'm a bit slow, a little bit more than 3 hours to completely charge the phone. Might have something to do with the cable.
My current charging setup:
- ANKER 5 port 40W
- a docomo USB cable
Planning to buy a proper 20AWG usb cable and a QC2.0 adapter.
I just bought a Letv charger which supported qc3.0 for about 4$ on taobao
I'm currently on the 9.5.11 build and it takes about 4-5 hours to completely charge the device using stock charger, And it took about 2-3 hours while on 9.2 build.
I wonder if the Mi QC 3.0 based charger would improve the situation for us?

Slow charge is a known bug in 9.5.11 build. Wait for an update or change ROM
13,2W for me
I recieved 9.2.13 update yesterday and have been noticing significant boost to charging speeds since then...yet to fully charge from 0 so can't comment on total time but as per Ampere, charging speeds are in range of 1500 to 1700 mah
1000 mA max with 5v 2amp and Work Normal Speed with Stock Charger
Approximately 2 hour for charge phone
I use the app Ampere (free in Playstore) to measure power input and with a normal charger (non QC) it shows up to 1600 mAh charging amount and from almost 0 to 100% it is taking 2,5 hours. One question: is there a way to tell if QuickCharge is active?
@Kusie
Look on your"s phone status bar. With normal charging there is thunder icon next to the battery. With QC active, thunder in in circle as far as I remember. Info about active QC should be also displayed in the bottom of your lockscreen
Sent from my flo using XDA Labs
Using my usb inline meter, i'm getting ~6.5v and ~2.2A, with a Tronsmart usb cable and QC 3.0 Truro charger, screen off and about 44% remaining on battery. Will try when the battery is lower some other time.

I have no idea why would you do that... But read reviews, no matter what kind of charger you use, this phone only supports qc 2.0 version. From 0 to 100, in 1 hour, you only get like 55%, and in the end it slows down even more, so yes, impossible to fully charge in 1.5h, TECHNICALLY IMPOSSIBLE. You are either lying, or mixed times and got confused. Judging by technical parameters, the best this phone can do should be around 2hours from 0 to 100.

I just posted above that I was able to get QC 3.0 charging rates. Approximately 2.2A (fluctuates +/- 0.1A) and 6.6v (fluctuates +/- 0.2v) using a QC 3.0 charger and Tronsmart cable. Measured using an inline meter, not software.

I have two power delivery charger both capable to charge up to 60w. When I connect phone to both charges doesn't matter which one and which cable I use currently it always display fast charging text and icon. Why it doesn't go on turbo charging? If I know the phone support qc 4.0 and PD and it should turbo charge on my chargers, right? Anyway I noticed 3300-3600 mAh however it doesn't really look charge as fast as in reviews.
Some people reported 4A but according to qc 4.0 specification it's rather about 3A at 9A. What's the real charging voltage for our Xeromi?

Also btw my charger also has a 5v&3A mode so that's why it was showing ~2.8A

The phone charges at 300-500ma when using pubg even when using a 18w qc3 charger which normally charges at 2800ma. Anyone else facing this bug?

It's not a bug i guess... Its a OS thing .. some custom rom uses the force fast charge option... Then the phone will charge fast even we use the phone or play games.. but in stock roms they disabled the force fast charge thing... So when in idle, phone charges around 3000mah but when using the phone it comes down to around 1000mah or even lower while playing games

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the ASUS ROG Phone II can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

This phone charges pretty fast! Around 1h 35min from 0 to 100% (I think, will test that later). I'm using the 30w charger.
2 hours with 18W
1 hour 40 mins with 25w charger...
Any one used some charger with 45/50w? ;D
I want to know how much faster this smart can charge lol.i bought the 30w charger and i think is very fast a great smart too
I'm having serious issues with 3 of my Samsung 15W chargers. Never had a problem with LG G6, Samsung S6, S7, S9 and the odd device here and there while on Rog Phone 2 it will quick charge 1/20 times with it.
And believe me. You don't want to charge with the regular 5V charger mode. It will take hours upon hours.
Maybe it has something to do with the latest OTA.
If some1 can test 50 / 65 w charger and post the results will be awsome!

You need a higher output powerbank bro.. I bought a nubia 27w output power bank to be closer to the 30W power brick...
I use my Note10+ 25w charger. Works well.
I tried Baseus 60w PD type-c charger but it's charging about 16w. Looking for 30w alternate charger. Asus one really expensive with our local money.
1 hour 40 mins with 25w charger...

Yes, I have with genuine A71 charger ( already in use with my A71 ). Huge difference then this supplied 15w one.
I never let my phone to go to 0% as it effects battery life. Usually get it charge from 15 to 100% and it takes exactly an hour .
15w (supplied in the box) does the same in 1 hour and 50 mins approx...
Highly recommended to have a 25w original one... ( There are lots of copy versions in the market which are of no use as they charge on same slow speeds).
To verify, its simple that it will show "super fast charge" and the copy version will show only "Fast charge" which is not fast by any standards....
Mine from 1% to 100% takes about 115 minutes
about 1hr to go 40-100 on a 60w laptop usb c brick
With 25w charger it charges 18-20% in 10 minutes.
It's decent but I do miss the dash charge from my one plus.
Seems mine charges rather quickly no issues.

I miss it too, I feel vulnerable now, like I should carry an external battery just in case.
With my 25W charger the charge is ok, from 40% to 100% in 41min

I went from 30% to 100% in 1h9m with the 15 watt charger on my 2nd charge.
Estimated time was 1h8m, quite accurate.
Anyone, Please share how long 25w charger takes if the screen is ON/phone in use while charging?

It reduces the charger power to 10-15W with screen on.
