could be better if there was an option to delete some 3rd party apps, like facebook, amazon and avg.
also the file explorer app is not even worth 1 star .
otherwise the sony skin is lightweight and very smooth and quick

yes you can disable them. but it just doesn't feel right that apps that are easily downloadable from the playstore can't be uninstalled. but I can't remember if that was also like this on the old phones. I immediately rooted my z3c and only had some sony apps left on the device

thanks! yes sure better to uninstall them but at least if I can disable them I am fine... for now! I too had z3c and also like very debloated sw, so as soon as we will get root (hopefully without loosing drm keys or similar!) I will start preparing my usual debloating script like I did for z3c lol

got the phone and disabled many apps i don't use, I'm fine, but one i can't disable and that's pretty frustrating..! swiftkey keyboard.. why the hell i can't disable it? i installed another keyboard and set it up as my default first of course..
but still can't disable swift key so every time I'm typing i see in the navbar the keyboard notification switcher..!
I'm disabling things from app settings.. i could maybe try also with pm disable command from terminal or adb..?
EDIT: fixed! done via adb.. could get rid of swiftkey keyboard and annoying persistent notification in navbar while typing great!!! :victory::laugh::good:

It runs stock Android, so it looks as good as any Nexus. The camera app could look a bit better - a nicer shutter animation for example, but other than that the software looks good.
Sent from my Moto E5 using XDA Labs
The bloatware (assurance wireless e5 Play version has all Moto, plus Sprint, plus AW apps) isn't too intrusive in itself; but the system apps partition is too big and of course updates consume space on the public partition, which gets filled quickly. My only real interest in rooting will be to move apps & updates to the system partition.
I like their version of the clock but I wish they'd let me change the weather provider to OpenWeather. I might have to change the launcher just to do that; and see if I can keep their clock while with OW that way.
Their version of Facebook seems to be the customized version also used on other "Free" phones, which brings pop-up ads to the Launcher. Disabling it and installing FB Lite app kills this. I don't know if models for regular services have unmodified Facebook apps or not.

New interface is good, but I was looking for a fullscreen version I dont wanna see the navbar, then why not fullscreen immersive experience, as I see most of the phones even redmi offers it..
Waiting for this update.
Vanilla Android, what more can you say
Not sure about the Android 9 swipe stuff. Coming from 7.1, I am missing the app drawer icon and recent apps button. I'm sure I will get used to it, but change for change's sake is not needed.

Not sure it will come soon. In the meantime, you can try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid
It seems it does what you're looking for, I've been using it for the last month with no trouble.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will be trying out for sure, however with spilt pill and 6T setup in navbar by xda, I feel pretty comfortable ...
Thanks mate..

I prefer using Next Launcher 3D. (version 3.20.2) It have some quirks but after setting it up works wonders. As my average full charge sustain about 2 days this app use less than 300mАh which is just few % from the charge. And although it is really old version is stable. I prefer it more than the stock launcher because of the many custom options. The only real problem is that it doesn`t let me use just any widgets but only some of them. Still I chose to sacrifice them in the name of the overall usefulness of the launcher. And yes, I know the version is old but it`s the only one I have from backup of my previous phone and for some reason the launcher is removed from the playstore. So I work with what I have.
For main theme I use [MINU]Dark Mint from the samsung themes.
If you have the problem with borders around the icons after applying new theme and the option in menu "Display" - "Icon frames" is locked in gray, even when set up before that in mode "icons only" there is workaround. Just install new icon pack. BUT! Not everyone works, most of them just change the color of the frames. So you will have to search.
I found working ones and for icon pack I prefer [TMA] Flat Candy Icons, although "Absolute Delight" also look very well. All of them are free, again in samsung themes store.
I`m currently looking for a solution for making the sliding notifications panel black with white text. For now I have found a theme making almost what I want here, in xda forum but I`m still searching for better solution.

Stock android with a little biit of moto magic. Much as I get that folk like different skins from other manufacturers, I am pure vanilla android and this is a spot on phone for that.
There are a couple of pre-installed apps that you can remove such as facebook and google podcast.

Does it have the normal Android 10 gestures from pixel / other manufacturers or the ugly pill still?
I miss some things from my old phone (Huawei P9). EMUI had numbers on notifications, dual apps, themes and you could customize the navigations buttons (I use the back button on the right).

I am using this device(Indian Version called Mi 10i) since last 2 days.
I disabled the Ad Perosanlization options, and Diagnostics right during the Initial setup process, uninsalled all the Junk that was present on device, changed the default Browser to Brave Browser, installed CPL launcher.
I haven't seen any ads since the last 2 days of use.
I like MIUI skin, especially for its features.
Sadly the dialer provided is the Stock Google dialer, and you know call recording on the dialer gives the prior notification announcement when starting and stopping Call record.
I hope Xiaomi provides the MIUI Dialer in the future Updates
MIUI is a nightmare XD

It isn't as bad as it used to be. With root and proper tweaks/fixes it's quite manageable.. I wouldn't use it unrooted or with all default apps though.

I don't see why people want call recording so badly? Quite creepy if you ask me.
It's regulated by law where it must say call recording is enabled hence as to why you're getting that
