Firmware for SM-T567v? - Samsung Galaxy Tab E Questions & Answers

Does anyone have a dump of the firmware for the Verizon Tab E (SM-T567v) 9.6?
I'm looking to root mine. I suppose I am planning on using Magisk to get a patched boot.img, but cannot get my hands on the most recent ota.
I'm open to other options or suggestions if you all have any.
Thanks,
NJ

Would be nice to have a spock firmware. I'm on 6.0.1 with package disabler in tact. Did tan e get 7.0? Anyway, if I had a stock firmware, I'd at least five kingroot a try.

I found a copy of the most recent Firmware a few days ago. I'll link soon. On a different PC.
Not sure about Kingo, but I've got a Magisk patched boot.img ready to go.
Will report results soon

Anyone know where I can get the latest G930P firmware G930PVPS4APJ2 ?

As of 10/26, Sprint rolled out the latest firmware for G930P (Galaxy S7), G930PVPS4APJ2. I have been searching everywhere since then and it has been 3 days without any luck. Since by mistake I loaded the G930U's API3 with the latest bootloader 4 and I am not able to downgrade to any of the older G930P firmwares. The worst part is that it also destroyed my factory SIM unlock. I want to go back to the G930P firmware and request to have it unlocked again. Someone please help. If this firmware is not yet available for downloading yet, any idea normally how long it takes from the day a firmware is rolled out until it is available on the web for downloading?
Thanks in advance for any help or info.
I'm glad someone posted this. I tried downgrading so I could root my S7 but it failed and now I'm assuming the only way to fix it is to flash stock firmware.
Has anyone had any luck getting the firmware for PJ2?

I have seen that and a few others pointing back to the same middle eastern language website asking to purchase premium service also. They all look extremely fishy and unsafe. I am and I suggest to stay away from them.

i think thats what i need to go back to stock completely,i cant get any of the other firmwares to flash over to my phone. none of the official ones from pj2 down works for me, sw rev check fail system
I can't even update to PH7. It downloads fine, but during the install part (blue screen/android dude) it constantly fails at 32%... I hate to have to flash with Odin, and re-setup my phone (apps, homescreen layout, etc.).
Does anyone know of a link to PH7 that has decent download speeds, like a torrent? Sammobile speeds are so slow.

Search for SamFirm. It's an executable you launch on Windows and search for the firmware for your model and region you need and download it. It's the quickest I have seen so far.
This... I also need. Stuck until I get it. Bahhhhhh I don't like the s7 after 4 days. Didn't realize these updates pushed new bootloader version. Trying to build a ROM here... Dafuq?!?!?! -.-"

All... Try this link. Should solve your PH7 problems if you haven't found it already. No PJ2 yet, Although it shows up as a repo...

Do i have to flash these files in a certain order? or all at once? And, do I use the HOME_CSC or the CSC file?
Edit: **** yeah! I flashed the BT, AP, CP, and HOME_CSC all at once in Odin v3.11.1 and it didn't wipe data, just updated my phone to PH7. I am now updating via OTA to PJ2.

You're supposed to flash all at once... Careful going to PJ2 though. bootloader version changes... And they haven't released flashable firmware for PJ2. I found a workaround flashing some U firmware (PI3) with new bootloader 4. Here's the link i went to. And i might add this is a worst case scenario. There's no going back due to the 7's locked bootloader. Of course this is only if you brick your current PJ2 somehow. Which i managed. Developers at work! Anyhow, wish you luck on PJ2, and i'll start development on it (depending on the nougat drop date) once i get a firmware release. Cheers!

*Long post incoming...
The OTA update to PJ2 went fine, no problems. Currently running smooth. My initial issue was I was previously rooted, and decided to go back to stock. When I went back to stock I flashed the PG1 firmware but it wasn't from Sammobile. I downloaded all the firmware files separately from an XDA post that the root post linked too (big mistake). I then didn't flash them all at the same time, and I don't think I flashed the HOME_CSC file, just the CSC one. It went fine and everything but when PH7 dropped everytime I tried to OTA update to PH7 it would fail at 32% every time during the bluescreen/android guy screen. I'm not sure what's being checked at 32% to why it failed there, but my guess was that the files I flashed did something that was invalid and the updating process wouldn't continue becuase of a validation issue, probably from flashing just CSC file and not HOME_CSC file, just a guess.
After I flashed PH7, I was so happy my data wasn't wiped, and was also happy when PJ2 updated just fine. Though I was bummed, I thought PJ2 was the Nougat update...
You're a life-saver dude! And, thanks for the website you gave me to download the firmware, took like 15min to download a 2.5GB file, compared to 5 hours when downloading from Sammobile and other sites. Thanks a bunch!
I had an S2 and S5 for 2 years each before the S7 and damn were those easy to root and flash ROMs/Mods on. Damn locked bootloader! The one thing I think Samsung fcked up on with this phone. I should have waited for the Google Pixel... I'm with Sprint (obv) and re-newing my contract I get a discount off the phone, and having an unlimited data family plan, plus a discount on my bill for where I work made me stay and renew my contract with Sprint.
What exactly are you working on? A way to unlock the bootloader, an easy way to root (the current way is tedious and laggy), or a ROM? I'm interested.

Glad you got squared away... I'm not really working on much. Just going to Mod a Stock ROM again, to start. I'm probably not the guy who will figure out custom recovery on the phone. lol But I'm going to dive into some documentation on the topic, and get acquainted. That's a far reach, though. I just don't see a lot of support or development for this phone series. So I want to put some stuff out there. Maybe even slim down and automate the rooting process. (Think SkipSoft Android Toolkit)
I don't know. Any ideas or requests are always welcomed.

If you're on the latest (PJ2) stay right where your are. There's no going backwards from there with the release on bootloader 4. You need to wait out the PJ2 firmware release.

Is this phone still rootable?

go to the root thread, follow the instructions and give it a shot. That's really the best way to find out...just make sure you have the APK1 firmware on standby in case it doesn't turn out well.

Pretty much this. Backup files you don't want to lose, download the stock Odin files, and give rooting a shot. Worst case, you just gotta flash stock back via Odin. You may be able to flash an earlier firmware via Odin and root from there. Though I doubt Odin would let you. If I were you, I'd download all the applicable files, backup my data, wait until I've got a good chink of time ithat I don't need my phone and start playing around with it. I had all sorts of complications rooting mine s{ I was phone-less for like an hour

Update 12/6/16
I downgraded to the U firmware (G930UUEU4API3) following the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/g930uueu4api3-firmware-download-t3481159
I then rooted using Max Lee's directions and I have root! Haven't tried rooting directly from APK1 firmware
I successfully rooted my G930AUCS4APK1 using princecomsy how to.

I'm still trying to learn the nomenclature....so, i'm assuming by the PK1 one part of the version that it is new than PI3?
Just wasn't sure about UUE part. Sorry, noob in this dept.
But, wanted to at least share that I had successful root with OP baseband.
Now to figure out how to make the battery last more than 10hrs and respond a little quicker.
The V15 fix hasn't seem to do much in comparison to stock OTA.
Hope this helps.

(for the others that may not know too)
The last three characters of the release are the ones that matter.
* The P indicates the year (P=16th letter of the alphabet, 2016)
* The K indicates the month (K=11th letter of the alphabet, November)
* The 1 represents the release number (to allow for more than one release each month)
Keep in mind that once you flash a newer firmware on the S7, you cannot go back to an older one. Odin will not let you flash it. Even if you could, it would most likely trip the KNOX flag.

Nova Plus MLA.....

Is it possible, to open a thread for the Nova Plus MLA-LXX only?
Root, firmwareupdates , etc.
i think its a good idea...im in canada /rogers with mla-l03...and not much here for our version
Not rooted ( yet ) but got the unlock code, me too
have the code, yet not used, all my other mobiles ihave rooted
Like i said...our device is a one pretty young...birth in september so...theres no rush to "enter the dragon"
But very anxious to try nouEmui
i have tried the unlock code, and it works, but i have relocked it.....
I've the MLA-L11 too. would be awsome to have a working TWRP , no use in getting bt unlocked
unless there is a custom recovery. I'd say we find a dev and donate enough to persuade him to work
on a twrp !

You can try this to update to Nougat: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v73849/f1/full/update.zip Extract all the files and place them in a dload folder then place that on the root of your SD Card and install it using the three button method. If your Build Number is not showing up correctly after installing that install this: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...-L11_hw_eu/update_data_full_MLA-L11_hw_eu.zip using the same method as before. If it does not work the first time you may need to flash the stock EMUI 5 Nougat recovery which will let you install Nougat updates, I had to do this for the CAN-L01C432 variant as the update kept stopping at around 40%. EMUI 5 Nougat Recovery: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4T1GJ6EZ3LvTWNpZ0p5YXVINGs It is up to you to try it and I am not trying to make you as I do not have a MLA variant so I do not know if it will work or not. LG H918 OTA 10P KDZ? Update:warning

HI. The LG H918 10P OTA Update.zip has started pushing out. I received it on my phone last night. Can somebody provide a link to the LG KDZ for this update? I want to get on making a stock flashable zip ASAP.
Warning Note: this new update is anti rollback V1 so if you have root DO NOT take the update or you will lose root!
Thanks in advance!

I wonder if 10N was about to be rolled out then was aborted in favor of 10P. Strange since the Android version itself on both remain on the 7.0 branch. Hopefully the full fledge 10P build will emerge so devs can incorporate any fixes and what not into ROMs.
Edit: Looking at LG's kernel source distro looks like we also missed out on 10O as well as that's up right now. No kernel source as of now for 10P.

You must be new to LG. They stay on the same point release as the phone was released with with all updates. Okay only when they update to the next version of Android does the version number change.

Until you posted this I swore at least the G6 and some of their recent lower tier phones were on 7.1.1 but alas they too are on 7.0 as well. So yeah the next major push LG will do is probably to whatever Android O will be (which is 8.0 the last I heard).

Is it possible to flash a rooted 10p kdz? Is there one?
I unlocked the bootloader with 10p and tried root with easyrecowvery and dirtycow. ER will not install twrp successfully and DC hangs at the logcat command.

If your bootloader is unlocked can you try this:
https://www.howtogeek.com/240047/how-to-flash-twrp-recovery-on-your-android-phone/
Earlier H918 bootloaders (10d etc) did not have the FLASH command built in if I remember correctly. Maybe LG threw us a bone and included it in this bootloader.
Let me know. If would be great news.

If you do what my previous post says make sure as soon as you get into twrp that you FORMAT data and system (you will lose all data but it will unencrypt the rom) and flash the 10p stock rom, modem, and bootloader. If you don't, you may get a boot loop. You might get one anyway, this is risky. But you already unlocked your bootloader so it's obvious you are down for a little risk lol
God's speed sir. This could be huge

QJ3 Download

Well, I went to wipe and reset my phone after I had updated the QJ3 update. Samfirm only has QH1. So now im stuck with a recovery bootloop since I can't install the QH1. I can't seem to find QJ3 anywhere on here or google. Samfirm isn't updated yet (which is absolutely stupid that they wouldn't have it up to date for this very problem). Does anyone know if it's been posted anywhere else? OR maybe a fix? Thanks!
combinefile.com or gsm-firmware.com both have the files listed. Daily pass is $3. Never used them, so I have no idea if it will work.
Here is what it found--Click here
Appears to have a few downloads too.
If you try it out, you should download and share the G935p and G930p files.
