bootloop after unlocking bootloader and flashing TWRP - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have lenovo k4 note 32GB ROM, 2GB RAM with stock 6.0 MM. I've unlocked the bootloader with the command ''fastboot flashing unlock'', confirmed it by pressing volume down and returned to fastboot, then successfully flashed twrp from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/k4-note/development/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-0-touch-recovery-t3530374 , i used the latest version 3.2.1. Now the phone remains in bootloop. After pressing vol- with pwr it enters meta mode for a few seconds but then returns to bootloop again. Attempts to anything lead to bootloop. My computer does not recognise it. Is there anything I can do to revive it? Maybe SP flashtool? I have not tried that yet. Help me please, I would be very thankful for any help.
Thank you

1. Flash stock version (This will lock you bootloader again).
2. Unlock bootloader and let it reboot (donot flash recovery now)
3. It will wipe the device and boots up.
4. After the boot is successful, go back to fastboot and flash recovery.

I appreciate your reply, but could you please elaborate on the first step? How am I supposed to flash stock recovery when I cannot enter fastboot? The phone is in bootloop no matter what I try. I can't seem to find a way to communicate with the phone from computer.

Flash full stock rom, not just recovery using flashtool. You can't flash recovery alone at this point.
For flashtool, you need to power off the mobile completely.

Thank you soooo much, you helped me a lot. The phone is now running!
Btw, before I restored it, I got into TWRP once, I think i pressed some of the nav buttons to get there. But in mount partitions system was missing and data partition was showing 0B, so something was definitely wrong.
Gonna try flashing it again, this time I'll reboot after unlocking bootloader and only then flash. I hope this time I'll succeed

It works now, successfully rooted!
I know it's OT, but could you recommend me a reliable custom AOSP ROM? I don't have time to spend trying to find one. You seem to have experience with the phone
thanks!

Ran EasyRecowvery 1.3b3. Now phone doesn't boot to any recovery. (including stock!)

After attempting to use this tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/lg-h918-t-mobile-one-click-recowvery-t3491969
It appears that I do not have any recovery installed or it appears I don't have a bootable recovery. Previously I got the custom TWRP recovery to work but the installer went ahead before I was able to wipe data. Now I cannot even boot into stock recovery. even the command "adb reboot recovery" just makes the phone start up normally. Volume down + Power makes the phone start normally as well.
attempting to run the tool again will cause it to deny flashing the custom IMG file as it tells me my recovery is already modified and won't continue unless I turn off verification (highly ill-advised) It refuses to flash TWRP.
At least I have a working phone and not a boot looping brick but is there a way to get stock recovery back just so I can try again? I have been told I need to re-lock my bootloader and hopefully that will restore everything back to the way it was so I can start again.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you pressing volume down and power then releasing power for one second and repressing it while still.holding volume down?

If it is the stock recovery it will only format your system to how it is out of the box.
If it goes into TWRP then you'll know.

That doesn't work for me on my Freedom Mobile H915 with a locked bootloader. I only ask how to without ADB because I want to help someone else that bricked their device upgrading the firmware to factory reset it and/or wiping cache hoping it'll help.

And i tested to unlock bootloader but failed...
Is there another way to flash it?
If you want stock recovery flash with tenfar tool or fastboot.

The link you posted works quite well actually. What i found is that you need to unzip all the files you wish to flash onto the desktop. How did you attempt to unlock the bootloader?

Same here. Just jump back into EDL mode and flash the full OTA. Download and unzip the folder to your desktop. I removed the META-INF File and flashed after the A2017U_** folder as the META caused me to fail a few times.

[SOLUTION] How to get out of the soft bricks and bootloops

If your device has unlocked boot loader and for some reason you just tried to flash something and it went wrong then there is no problem guys. The simplest solution if you are stuck on boot is that press vol down and power key for 3 minutes. It will work and will reboot. No before rebooting into the phone just go to the recovery by pressing the vol up key on boot process. This will load you in eRecovery of huawei. From there you can power off the phone. Now take out the sd card and put the desired rom in it. If you want stock android then you need to put UPDATE.APP in the dload folder in sd card and then go to eRecovery again. If you have a twrp recovery then you can go to stock as well and switch to a custom rom as well. Just place custom rom zip file and gapps zip file and flash it through twrp recovery.
For custom roms and recover visit :

Well, it doesn't work for me... I held those buttons for 5 minutes, and all my phone did was to reboot about every15 seconds to the "Your device is booting now..."
I also tried with other button combos without any luck.

I made a post just before you did over here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...i-p9-lite-stuck-bootloop-enter-t3600868/pages
After that post I managed to get into fastboot mode, when connected to my computer using usb, however my frp is locked and fastboot unlocked, so I am stuck there at the moment.

Download the SRK Tool for huawei p9 lite and unlock bootloader ( if required ). Then flash twrp recovery and then root the device. You might have made a mistake between any one of the processes. Also check if the OEM is unlocked in device developer options

As written in the other thread, the phone boot loops, and I only have access to fastboot. It refuses to go into recovery and can not boot normally.
I can't flash TWRP as frp is locked.
I tried messing around with Miracle Loader 2.27A, but it can't find my phone (maybe I am doing something wrong).

Please help! ZTE Axon 7 won't boot after deleting Lineage and TRWP

Hi,
don't know if this problem has already occurred before.
I had lineage and TRWP installed on my Axon 7 (EU version) and wanted to go back to the stock a2017g.
Therefore I deleted the ROM and wiped everything with TWRP.
Then I deleted TWRP and now i'm stuck at the the bootloader (which is unlocked), but TWRP seems to be gone.
The main problem is, whenever I try to flash a new stock rom (via recovery), I get the error "signature verification failed" and the process is aborted with no change to the system whatsoever.
Is there anything I can do at this point or is my phone practically dead?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try to boot into bootloader interface, and issue command "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img" on your computer( the current working directory should contain the TWRP.img file) . If your bootloader is unlocked, you should see no error of this command. Then press up/down button to select recovery mode. You should see the familiar TWRP again. Good luck!

Did you try flashing an official full zip, like B10? That's another thing you can try, since you're going to lose TWRP after you flash a stock rom anyways
If you dont have recovery, flash it from edl mode, you can flash twrp or stock.
Once you install it, performa a full wipe from stock recovery, and flash a full zip.
I have similar problems, I dont loose recovery, but stock dont boot after coming back from aosp, a factory reset did the job. I think is because different filesystems in data partition

Hi, the B10 ROM from the ZTE homepage did the trick.
Worked out nicely.
Thank you so much.
One final question remains for myself: How can I relock the bootloader (so that the 5 second screen won't show up at the start).
Tried different ways with adb and fastload, but nothing seemed to have an effect here.
So what to do?
Thank you again for your help.

you shouldn't. Fastboot should do the trick, by doing fastboot oem lock, but many people reported bricking and bad stuff...
Actually that screen comes very handy in case of a brick or if you want to enter a specific mode.l, you just select the mode and voila
Do you have fastboot? I don't know if B10 still has it, but 7.0 hasn't got it

Hi,
I tried adb and fastboot via pc and with the axon toolkit.
The adb worked fine, but no sign of effect by the fastboot commands.
So I guess I don't have it.
Is there any other solution to at least bypass the 5 second screen?
Thanks

Lol fastboot is not something like EDL, it looks similar to the 5 sec screen...
When you get the 5 sec screen, use the vol keys and pwr to get to the Fastboot option and enter - it should reboot and get to fastboot after some time
You should look up what fastboot, EDL, ADB and DFU are before doing all this stuff - you can mess up badly, and by not knowing you're complicating everything - my explanation and your understanding

needing help with huawei Y3 II LUA-L03 (softbricked/bootloop)

hi everyone.
a friend of mine was trying to root his huawei but now it cant boot anymore.
he followed a wrong guide for the Y5 II and flashed a custom recovery (bootloader unlocked) TWRP.
now the phone its on bootloop with the stock OS. i think that its due to the wrong recovery flashed on the partition.
so im requesting help for this phone.
is there a solution for this?
can anyone bring me the stock firmware for this model?
i need it as update.app to extract the stock recovery, not as ota update (dload/update.zip) cuz i need to flash it using fastboot. the phone just can use fastboot cuz recovery partition is corrupted and normal boot doesnt work (bootloop).
plz someone can help me?
i already googled long for a solution but i can figure out how to make it work.
the phone comes with android 5.1 lollipop and is from chile.
pd: the phone can only enter fastboot by pressing vol+ and power. if i try to turn it on normally it bootloops. when on fastboot menu, if i select recovery, it bootloops. if i select fastboot, it works using adb from pc (i mean, i can download data to it, it doesnt boot via fastboot option).
if i just had the original recovery.img maybe i can flash it and make it boot normally again.

I don't know much about Huawei, but if firmware is available you should be able to flash back to stock. Personally, I would try to find the right TWRP and flash it...then it will boot and you can root of you still desire.
I'm not sure if this is the right one, but if bootloader is unlocked it won't hurt to try. https://twrp.me/devices/huaweiy300.html
