Uninstalled but can't remove GRUB - Phoenix OS News, Q&A & Development

I uninstalled it, because it was anreally hood os but my orientation was inverted so it drove me crazy..
The problem is that when iy boots to windows, instead of my computer manufacturer loading screen it appears "booting to windows" grub.. i prefer my stock one..
I can change the priority on the bios but it restores back after the next reboot..

Multi-colored Screen

Hi Guys
When I turn my phone on, after the Galaxy S first screen, the screen is multi-colored for about 1 second before going to the boot animation. Once the boot animation appears the screen is fine.
That's not a problem. What is a problem is booting into recovery, the top of the screen has a few blue lines. It still operates as if it is in recovery, as if I press the power button it reboots - but if I press down once, then power, it's not rebooting. So it looks like it's just the screen can't display what's being sent to it. So I can't do anything in Recovery like installing the auto-phone record, screen capture service or extended power menu. It will also be a problem if I come to install another ROM.
Does anyone know why? It started happening after I flashed a new ROM - I flashed the new ROM because the phone was constantly freezing when running certain apps (and needed the battery removed to restart the phone) - it's no longer freezing.
thanks
I'm not sure but,i think it because you don't have the good bootloader. For example,if you flash a rom from Froyo to gingerbread, you need to choose a rom with the gingerbread sbl(bootloader) include.
So to avoid this problem, just re-flash the entire rom with boot loader included.
Just go there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
thanks I'll try that

[Q] Does anyone having trouble on boot with GNote3 ?

After having re-installed my apps from Google Play, my device went on loop boot (or almost).
It takes 2 or 3 loops to be able to boot correctly.
First boot only take 10 seconds after the Samsung logo. Once on lockscreen, the device restart, takes longer time to boot, and then reboot ...
And when GNote3 finishes correctly the boot sequence, some of the folders i have created are empty.
Another bug is the lockscreen ink effect : colors changes are not taken in account.
I thought that the boot issue was due to one of my app (but what the hell ! all of them were running smoothly on my previous GNote2) but i think the problem could be related to bad data management ...

I had a continuous boot loop problem after installing a few apps. It freaked me out as I spent a long time getting everything looking good on the phone. I thought it was going to be a case of hard resetting.
I removed the SD card and suddenly all was OK! I had been using the card in a different phone. So I removed any system folders from the card and everything worked fine. That is until I reinstalled some other things and the problem came back. So I reformatted the card in the phone and now it all seems to be working.
I also had problems with changes not sticking on the lock screen. They too are now working after I did the above.
Hope this helps.

BCD Error Windows Phone - Can't Reset

Phone is an HP Elite X3. Randomly got a blue screen that says error 0xc000098 and something about the \BCD file not having operating system information in it. This is after restarting the phone twice after updating it.
It is not possible to put the phone in flash mode, it just brings back the blue screen when restarted. Can't boot to OS.
Any ideas? The computer does not recognize the phone.

S4 issues with recovery and screen

I have some issues with my s4 a few weeks ago it started
first i couldnt change my brightness right after that my boot animation disappear and now i cant enter my recovery i found that out because today i tryed to delete everything and install new in hope that the bugs will go away but then this
i think i can go in to the recovery but my screen does not show it but i am not shure about that.
also after i tryed to install 5.1.0 android to maybe get in recovery, (befor i had 4.4.4 installed because i have a weird input lag in 5.1.0) i noticed that the screen is flickering but only in 5.1.0 in 4.4.4 i never had this
what i already tryed: install I9515XXU1ANK2_I9515YXY1ANL2_I9515XXU1ANK2_HOME.tar and I9515XXU1BPK3_I9515YXY1BPK2_I9515XXU1BPK3_HOME.tar ,
adb reboot to recovery , tryed to change kernel with app but i think that didnt worked
installed twrp, cmw both didnt worked
please help me to fix my phone
Does the phone boot properly to the desktop after flashing the latest stock ROM?
yes it boots normal
btw little update i found out i can use my recovery my screen just dont show any thing
i found that out because everytime i was downgrading from 5.1.0 to 4.4.2 i had to do wipe data or it wont boot
i tryed to go in recovery and go 3 down (wipe data) and then 7 down (yes) just with youtube videos and it worked before the wipe my phone does not start on 4.4.2
that means that my recovery is working but screen just doesnt show it
it doesnt show anything but the white samsung logo, normal system, downloadmode
at any other time my display ist blank
as an example when i turn it on i see the white logo then screen turns blank i hear the bootup sound, after 15 sec screen goes black and when i press unlock i can normal use the phone
but why is it blank while booting and in recovery and also is a bit flickering when phone is turned on normal
Recovery works on stock lollipop?
yes recovery works but screen does not when i enter it
the screen is turned on but it only shows black
same thing when the phone boots up screen in turned on but only shows black untill the phone is booted then screen works but is flickring a tiny bit
i called in a repair shop they told me maybe the backlight control is broken???
because i also cant change my brightness its set to max and doesent get darker when i move the slider

Stuck on "Starting Android..."

Hi Guys
I used Odin to reflash my Galaxy S10+ dual sim (duos) as it was experiencing some slowness. I used the Singapore firmware as it uses the same "G975FXXU1ASBA" model name.
The process completed successfully but when the phone boots, it gets past the Samsung logo screen and then gets stuck on a blank black screen with "Starting Android..." showing in the middle. I can swipe down from the top to show the toolbar, but it is limited in what I can select from it and the phone doesn't get to the point where the home screen boots.
I'm guessing this could be an app optimization process but after 4 hours, it was still on this screen.
I've tried re-flashing (redownloading the firmware files), clearing the cache and rebooting the phone.
Does anyone have any ideas?
In case you do want to start clean anyway, have you tried doing a reset in the recovery menu (where you are wiping the cache)? This will wipe all data.
I may have to try the full wipe, which is something I wanted to avoid but seems I have no choice.
Hopefully that at least solves the problem.
I have the same problem but I cannot get it to boot into recovery or download mode. I was flashing Magisk at the time. Odin said it worked but now it wont pass the initial stating android... Odin detects the phone but can talk to it. ADB does not even detect the phone. Phone power and reset come on. if i hold both volume the assistant comes on and if i hold bixby the safemode tag appears in the bottom corner but it still wont boot past Starting Android or boot into download mode
