Creating Custom ROM for p8 lite (2015) - P8lite Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to make my own custom ROM for my ALE-L21.
I am currently stuck at finding the right files to start. I want my ROM to be based on AOSP.
Which version should I download (does it even matter)?
What other files do I need? Like Kernel, etc.

Hello,
I have a device called J7 Prime with sd625 inside. This device sold only in China legally. So as you can see, there isn't any custom recorvery or rom atm.
I simply debloat stock rom and put magisk inside of the stock rom. And I need a proper guide to do that for Android 8.0.0. Is it possible? What should I learn for these kind of work?
