Smart Capture - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

How do I enable smart capture? Scrolling capture and editing them instantly is an essential feature.
Whenever I try to install screen capture APK or update Samsung Capture app, it shows a package conflict.
I'm on stock and not rooted, I can root and modify the system anyway, but don't wanna do it.

Anyone know how to lock rotation and still have camera rotate?

Here's the thing, I never use my phone in landscape so I prefer to have it locked from rotating . What happens is that sometimes I need to take a quick picture either through the camera app or whatsapp and I always forget to have to take off rotation. So I was wondering if there's a way to set it up somehow so the camera isn't affected by the rotation lock. Maybe a modded camera apk or something?
I just disabled rotation completely. Then I use tasker to enable it for only certain apps where I prefer to have rotation enabled.

Click to collapse
1+ for Tasker here too. You can set it to detect when a specific app is launched and it'll change settings according to your desires.

Auto-rotate lock screen?

So I'm wanting to auto rotate my N4's lockscreen but I so no native way to do this (Stock rom). Is there a setting I'm missing for this, or is there a setting I can write to a file?
I know Ultimate Rotation Control allows it but I'm looking for a way with doesn't require an app.
Thanks.
You can do that and much more with Gravity Box module for Xposed Framework. Check my signature. It's an app, but it doesn't run in the background.

[Android] Any way to move or hide the Note Saver preview window?

I love using the Create Pad for note taking while reading (i.e. using Note Saver), but enabling note taking automatically opens the small live preview window in the bottom right of the screen.
Is there any way to close, resize or reposition this preview window without stopping note-taking mode?
The window is not too bad in landscape, but in portrait mode it often covers the content I'm trying to take notes of!
I am sure this still bugs most of us with the Android version. I decided to root and found if you disable com.hanvon.portableink (Floating Windows) that you can toggle all you want. Nothing happens apart from it toggles mode. If anyone knows of a non root way of disabling this it could be handy,

Auto full screen apps

So far every app I have installed on my s8 works perfectly in fullacreen, but i have to go to setting every time i install a new app and enable full screen. Is there a way to make it automatically fullscreen, then i can turn it off later if need be?
There is an icon for quicker access to fullscreen toggle in recent apps, but I would still love to have it put all new apps to fullscreen by default
That need to be made by app side, app tell the os this app is full screen optimized, so our s8 will full screen.

How do I disable max brightness in stock camera app?

Whenever I open the stock camera app, screen brightness is automatically set to maximum. I get that it's a feature some people like to take better photos but there should be an option to disable it. Other camera apps have this option but lack EIS or portrait mode. Would really like to use the stock app but this one issue is very annoying. Any help?
To enable EIS , click the given link

If you feel that the camera is really important then you can explore XDA for enabling google camera on phone .
The automatic is a default configuration in the phone and you cant do anything for that . Its actually useful because sometimes the display is visible during bright sunlight . Or else install the Nokia camera port on the phone. It will also give the extra PiP feature
