Both Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 plus provide loud and clear speaker-quality, I was quite impressed at first for a handset in that budget. I owned a Vivo x20 for a month and have now switched to a Vivo X20 plus. The headset feels a bit "cheap" though I must admit, but the sound is still decent.
Please let me know if you have any further questions. Aside from that it is not possible to root them as of right now, which is a pity (hopefully there will be ways in the future though).

A very good device, but usb host problem?
Had a lot of call quality issues with this device. People say I sounded like I was underwater. I would also get poor reception when my Nexus 5X would get fine reception. I just sent my Nokia 6.1 back and they said they found and issue and are sending me back a different phone. We'll see if the new phone improves it all - but compared to other phones I can test with (Pixel XL, Nexus 5X), my Nokia 6.1 has had clearly the worst call quality

Worst phone I've got. Searching in Xiaomi forums and Reddit, it is a common oldest problem related with noise cancellation.
DO NOT OWN THIS PHONE.. A lot of ads everywhere!!! A lot of voice call problems.
I've never ever problems with phones with Samsung, Huawei, Apple brands.

Good point. My dad (age 81) complains about my OnePlus7Pro. Is this phone better? How is the call quality when you talk head free?
I have a strange case for this problem, my father has a Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, when we video call with me, the sound is always low (not clear) but with other smartphones the sound is clear. But this happened only when I had a video call with my dad, I don't know if it's a fault with my redmi 9 or my dad's smartphone.

I've had my OnePlus Nord N100 a few days and so far I am surprised. I was expecting low volume and tinny sound with it being a budget phone. However the volume is better that my Note 10+ 5G and sounds as nice if not better.
