Review
Introduction
This is the DIGGRO DI06
Part of the nowadays common rebrands, this DI06 from DIGGRO features the same hardware you would find on a low-end 3G smartphone, mostly for power-saving reasons. Together with the MT6580M chipset, there is only 1GB of RAM and 16GB of Storage, all packed in a Metal Chassis and an AMOLED screen, probably the most interesting feature of this device.
Unboxing
A pretty basic set of accessories in included in the package: 1x Charging Dock, 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x Screwdriver, 1x Kit of extra screws, 1x Manual and the Smartwatch (of course). Unfortunately there isn't any spare screen protector even though one is pre-applied.
The charging dock looks nice, but in reality it comes with a pretty important flaw: almost inexistent magnet. It only sticks to the back without holding the smartwatch in place, and the magnet is so weak that even the lightest movement would cause it to detach. A bit disappointing.
Design & Features
Something really premium about this device is the front glass. It is 2.5D curved and perfectly inserted in the metal chassis, similar to the implementation you get on a smartphone.
Quality-wise everything feels premium too thanks to the Metal Chassis. No imperfections noticed. Its weight is decent, only 63g, not much considering the material.
On the right side there is only one key that works as a back/power button, with a nice tactile feedback. Just below the key, there is a mini 2MP camera (i call it the Spy Camera considering the position) and the main microphone.
As regards the left side, there is only a grill (not bear...) for the speaker.
The whole back side is made of Plastic, with a removable cover for the SIM-Card Slot, the Heart-Rate Sensor and 4-pins for the Magnetic Dock. I was not able to notice any corrosion on the pins after ~1 month of usage.
Luckily, even though i do not like OLED screen too much, this model features an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 400x400 pixels. On a smartwatch this is a must feature for power-saving and real blacks, and i can confirm its quality. Also, it is really bright, but due its limited size i was not able to measure the lux value.
I have been testing lots of smartbands and smartwatches since i started to review tech. devices, and the band used on this device is actually pretty good. It attracts some dusts just like most rubber-bands, but it doesn't get dirty neither it causes the wrist to sweat/fell hot. Let's say a stress-free band. Unfortunately it isn't replaceable, or at least not with something generic since antennas are inside the band.
Software and Usage
Sadly, the software isn't "premium" at all. It runs on a heavily customized version of Android 5.1 with June 2016 security patches. Still, it runs really really smooth with no lags, something i wasn't expecting considering the custom OS.
In order to show you all customizations made to the OS, i made a video that, hopefully, is enough to provide an overview of what i am talking about. The video doesn't feature any voice, so you can mute it or just listen to the included music.
The OS recommends to install an app called "WiiWear" to sync all notifications with the device but it literally sucks, so, as recommended by the company itself, i switched to another app called "Watch Droid" that works perfectly, with no connectivity issues, plus, it allows to reply to messages with personalized templates.
V AVOID THIS APP! V
Instead, install this on your smartphone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumaticsoft.watchdroidphone
and this one on the smartwatch: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lumaticsoft.watchdroidassistant
Just some screenshots about the Watch Droid app and the Bluetooth Connection.
Something that impressed me is the built-in mini camera, it is made by SuperPix and provides some great photos considering the low resolution. Sure, it doesn't support auto-focus, but it is way better than most spy camera available on the market. Really impressive.
Here you can see some samples.
Finally, as regards the Battery Life, the 350mAh built-in battery doesn't help much, but at least i was able to reach 1 day and a half of usage without any SIM-Card inserted, but with both BT and WiFi turned on and no battery saving options active. With some software customizations it should be possible to reach at least two/three days of usage, coming later
Conclusion
I don't know how other models released by DIGGRO are so it hard to say whether this is an upgrade or not compared to a previously released model. This DI06 is a solid piece of hardware that requires some software improvements, or at least provide the Watch Droid app by default.
The AMOLED screen together with the impressive build quality definitely make it a step above others i tested, but it is still far from an Android Wear Smartwatch.
Honestly, i can recommend this smartwatch to those who can't spend the extra for an Android Wear model, just consider everything written above and keep following this thread for updates and possible improvements that i will provide. I promise to not abandon this model ^^.
Pros:
Excellent Build Quality
Bright AMOLED screen
Decent built-in Camera
High Quality Band
Cons:
Unpolished and not updated Software
Terrible Magnetic Dock
Slightly outdated hardware
Pricy (based on the official pricing)
Rating: 8.2
Packaging and Accessories: 6.5
Design and Materials: 10
Performance & Usage: 9.5
Screen: 9.5
Sound: 8
Battery Life: 7
Price: 7

It should be the retail price imho. Anyway, thanks for the alert.

Good review, I have this watch myself but suffer poor battery, maybe 8-10 hours usage with screen mostly off. I use my Apple watch most of the time but this sits on my shelf until I can get better battery performance.

Do u think there's a possibility to change watch strap and replacing antennas into the new one ?

Hey
I bought that watch, too.
Is it possible to change faces?
What sport application can you put on or go through with a blue tooth?
I'm only one day with him, and the battery was not enough for a whole day ... Is your battery the same? ?
Thank you .

I'm very surprised!
I have X3/K9 and in airplane mode with occasional time checking it lasts about 6-9 days. And 2-3 days with 3G on, but I mostly have it off.
But after 1-2 years with it I'm looking for new watch with AMOLED.
How long it stay in airplane mode?

5 hours at most...

Did you try to examine what is battery hog in Battery Usage History option in Settings?
Maybe it is some process or app?

App Scaling
Thanks for the review. I am actually using a similar watch (DI01). I installed the Watch Droid and it works very well. I have 2 questions for those who have similar watches.
1. The Watch droid actually draws over my clockface when i unlock the watch everytime which is annoying as I unlock to see the time.
2. How do you scale apps full screen. My apps appear as square boxes and tiny.

Full screen

Hi,
I have the DI07 and the o/s looks like the same as mine. To go full screen hold the button to get the turn off option and at the very top you'll see a small white square. This is the option for letterbox or full screen. Tap that and you should get full screen on your watch

Awesome. That fixes one of my problems. Thanks.

Diggro DI06
I want Diggro DI06 USB driver.
THX.

Hi, Does anybody have a link for a replacement charger for this? Or perhaps an alternate compatible charger?

Hi . I've downloaded watchmaker to try out their fabulous watch faces , but the the diggro DI06 isn't on their list plus it's asking for a companion app !!!
My watch is paired with the phone. I receive all notifications. But I can't use watchmaker. Can someone shed some light on this on how to .
Thanks

Battery life
So are there any similar (or better) spec to this full Android watches with decent battery life? What brought me here was the D101. Its form factor looked great.
Thanks

Xiaomi MiPad – Review
Xiaomi is one of those brands that is always in the headlines. As time has gone by the phone maker has expanded their device lineup and also started a massive global expansion. In addition to their phones, their MIUI software is also well known and sought after. Why all the hype around this company you might ask. Well, it might have something to do with the fact that they release high spec, dependable devices at less than half the price of the big brands.
Over the last year or two there have been rumors of a Xiaomi tablet but it just never happened. Then out of the blue the MiPad was announced and soon hit the stores. Obviously Apple inspired the MiPad looks like an iPad mini but is all Android inside thanks to the MIUI ROM. I was curious about the tablet but also curious about the Nvidia K1 processor so I figured I could kill two birds with one stone. So let the review begin.
Unboxing
I ordered the Xiaomi MiPad from 1949deal and the tablet was shipped within a few days by EMS. When it arrived it was very well packaged.
The box for the MiPad is of a plain brown variety. While it’s nice to see cool packaging for a device I really don’t care when it’s not there. It’s the device that needs to be amazing not the box, right? Inside was the tablet, some instructions, a micro USB cable, and a wall charger.
You can check out the unboxing video here.
Specs
7.9″ 2048 x 1536 display
Nvidia K1 quad core clocked at 2.2 Ghz
2GB RAM
16 GB storage
expansion slot that will support up to 128GB cards
5MP front and 8 MP rear cameras
6700 mAh battery
You can check out the full video review here.
Physical Features
The Xiaomi MiPad measures 202 x 135.4 x 8.5 mm and weights 360 grams. It’s quite comfortable to hold due to it’s thin design but you do need to be careful when holding it. The back of the device is very smooth and I could easily see it’s slippery surface being the cause of the device hitting the floor.
On the bottom is the micro USB port.
On the right is the volume rocker and the power button.
On the top is the 3.5 mm head set jack.
The top center is the location of the front facing camera.
Looking at the back the camera is in the top left corner with the dual speakers being at the bottom.
Display
The 7.9 inch display of the MiPad has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 for a 324 ppi pixel density. The screen feels solid thanks to the Gorilla Glass 3 and is very responsive.
The viewing is equally as good as the angles are good and the picture quality is fantastic.
Software
The Xiaomi MiPad is using MIUI which is their version of a custom Android ROM. It’s based on 4.4.2 KitKat and offers an appearance much like iOS where the apps are all dropped onto the main screens. Included are lots of customization options but if you still don’t like the look you can always use a launcher from Google Play.
Looks aside the software is stable and runs very well. The only drwback I’ve found is the Wi-Fi drains the battery fairly quickly even when the device is sleeping. The only fix I have found is to change the Wi-Fi setting to only engage when the device is awake.
Google Play store came on my device but that was put there by the reseller. Regardless, it’s an easy fix as you can just use the included app store to search Google and install the Play Store. When it asks to install other files like frame work, allow it and you’ll be all set in a matter of minutes.
The boot time was 25 seconds.
Wi-Fi
The MiPad comes with dual band wi-fi. I tested both the 5 Ghz and 2.4 Ghz.
My house has a basement and a main level. The router is located at the center point of the basement so I took readings at the router as a baseline and then tested it’s range by venturing upstairs.
5 Ghz
Router= 72.7 mbps
On the basement level the results remained around 70 mbps.
Main level= 10.06 mbps ( As I worked my way toward the far side of the level the signal dissapeared completely)
2.4 Ghz
Router= 68.05 mbps
Main level above the router= 20.58 mbps
Far corner of the main level = 19.7 mbps
As you can see, the Wi-Fi for the Xiaomi MiPad is quite good and the 2.4 Ghz signal easily covered my entire house.
Speakers
The dual rear speakers on the MiPad are perfectly located right on the curvature of the tablet. This makes them harder to muffle when holding the tablet sideways watching movies or playing games but allows the user to put it down without experiencing any problems with the sound.
Overall I was very impressed with the sound quality as the speakers were very clear and reasonably loud. They performed well with all genres of music and picked up a good amount of bass without sounding muddy.
Video Playback
The GPU in the Nvidia K1 is a real powerhouse allowing it to perform well in any situation, video playback included. I used the stock player as well as VLC to try a variety of HD online video clips as well as HD movies in different formats. Everything played very well and combined with the excellent display and quality speakers watching media on the tablet was a great experience.
Web Browsing
I used Maxthon browser to test out surfing the web and everything went very well. Pages loaded quickly even if they were image heavy and overall the device was quite snappy when online. It seems like the Nvidia K1 is the real deal.
Cameras
The front facing camera on the Xiaomi MiPad is a 5 MP unit and works very nicely for video chatting as well as taking quality selfies. The rear 8MP camera really impressed me. In general I’ve found the cameras that are used for tablets are rather poor so I wasn’t expecting much. The main camera focused fairly quickly and took some rather nice shots. The only downside is there is no flash, so make sure you have lots of light.
Benchmarks
Nvidia talked a big game regarding their new K1 processor so let’s have a look and see if it really is a threat to the current market technology.
Antutu
38,080
Antutu 5
It appears to be at the upper range of the current devices. Let’s keep testing.
Nenamark 2
59.7 fps
CPU Prime
8994
Very nice score. The MiPad is the first device I’ve personally come across that beats the Nvidia Shield in this test.
Vellamo
The MiPad thanks to its Nvidia K1 gets top marks in all tests. If you are looking for a powerhouse device the Xiaomi MiPad gets the nod.
Battery
The big question about the Nvidia K1 is how much does it take out of the battery to get those awesome benchmarks. I put the tablet display on auto and used VLC player to create a video loop. The tablet lasted a respectable 8 hrs 23 minutes. Performance and efficiency. Very nice.
Gaming
Nvidia heavily promoted the GPU on the K1 so one would hope it performs well in the gaming tests. I started with Into the dead and gameplay was very responsive and smooth. As I upped the ante by loading Dead Trigger 2 the graphics defaulted to the highest settings and gameplay was very nice. same scenario with Asphalt 8. I even opened a bunch of apps to run in the back ground and everything remained buttery smooth. If you like your video games, the Xiaomi MiPad delivers.
Final thoughts
Pro’s
Quality device
Good display
Great performance
Good speakers
Cameras are better than expected
Cons
Battery drain when in sleep (caused by Wi-Fi), hopefully this will be fixed in future software updates
No flash on main camera
I can’t really find fault with much on the Xiaomi MiPad. It really is a quality tablet that delivers on performance. The Nvidia K1 does a great job and makes this device one of, if not THE tablet to beat. I like that Xiaomi included an expansion slot and that it will take up to a 128 GB card. Add in the fact that Xiaomi are getting to be one of the larger players in the mobile game so you get software updates, lots of accessories, and tons of forum support if you need it.
Bottom line: reasonable price for killer performance.
Thanks for a great review, hopefully I'll have my hands on one in the next couple of weeks

Not a problem. It really is a nice tablet that will get better with further MIUI updates.
wow, the review is very impressive, i like to have a try!
There are some bugs come with this Mipad.
The tablet always get warm and the battery drain by "Android system".
The screen is good but the ratio cause some errors with some app.
And with 2K screen, it get only 2G memory. That's not enough.
The MIUI OS is buggy, I hope someday there will be CM11 for Mipad.
The MiPad is really awesome, however we the users have complained a lot in Xiaomi forums. The software was buggy from the very beginning, unfinished at its best, and while now most of the problems are solved, the MIUI version it runs is far from complete, not comparable at all to the phone version.
Hope some developer stands up and ports AOSP to MiPad, since most of us have the feeling that with MIUI it's impossible to use the tablet to its full potential.

great review ;;I wanna this mipad on my hands,,,,
Is there a custom ROM like CyanogenMod for this device. Im planning on buying this. It'd be nice to have Lollipop on this.
The hardware specs on this is similar to Nexus 9 but cheaper. Many good reviews about this device.

I know this isn't the right place but not sure where else to ask but while playing asphalt my car keeps veering to the left. I presume it's a problem with the gyroscope but don't know how to calibrate it. I tried several apps but didn't manage

I would like to see better EPD with reduced ghosting, bigger storage, and most importantly: lower price. The price has been the biggest issue (apart from availability) which has been keeping the developer community so small: if there are no users, why bother creating applications for the device?
But based on the few articles I've read, most of these issues are being worked on for the next iteration: http://www.technobuffalo.com/2015/0...taphone-2c-heres-whats-coming-next-from-yota/
Edit. Oh yes, a notification led. There is no way seeing if you've got messages apart from opening the front screen in the dark. The led should be placed on one of the sides so it would be visible no matter which screen was facing up.
When they lowered the price it showed less people where interested.

Curious. Well, the specs are falling behind pretty fast, and I think the big mobile giants had just released a new devices around that time. (S6 or the Edge, whatever it was called)
The cancellation of North America's launch migth actually move the release date of Yotaphone 3 closer than it was planned before, because now they don't need to get rid of those North America specific Yotaphones and wait for the market to settle and be ready for new iteration. Hopefully they can compete with the other flagship phones feature and valuewise.
If the specs where higher I think the price was good but the price for yotaphone 2 was too high just for an epd. What amazed me was the lack of development.

Agreed. The development of 3rd party apps was greatly hindered because they released the SDK so late in the device's life cycle - and it's still in beta! The documentation is terrible, if not non-exsistent, and there are very few examples and/or tutorials. I practically had to tear the existing applications apart to get an idea how to do basic things. Also, I still haven't been able to get the emulator to work, so you basically NEED to have an actual device to develop anything. So it really isn't that developer friendly at the moment.
When it comes to 1st party apps, I think they have been quite alright. There is still room for improvement, but as of the latest updates I am ok with the current state. Most likely their development team has been working on bringing the support for Lollipop, so that has taken majority of their time.
Love the V2 phone a lot but too much wrong with it. I am an e-ink enthusiast and I think the display on this phone is fine... there is always a tradeoff between 'cleanliness' and speed... see this vid I made for the Nook https://vimeo.com/67164582 - and really if you want an outdoor phone, this is the only one on the market!
My wishlist
1) Actually have the battery life work as promised. My old Samsung Note does as well and it doesn't have an EPD or any fancy energy saving modes. The Y2 seems to last a couple of days on standby in Lollipop, not impressive.
2) Manage the heat properly in the phone, so it doesn't get excessively hot: that's a sign that (1) above isn't working properly - if your processor is working overtime when just reading stuff you have a problem
3) Make the case openable, so you can replace the battery, otherwise you're doomed to binning the phone after a 18 months- 2 years, and values of secondhand phones will(and are) reflecting that.
4 )Get the software written somewhere where things like QA, unit testing, documentation etc are culturally acceptable. Better to do these things well and deliver small but robust functionality. Okay, it won't sell a stack of phones but at least your service/support lines won't be jammed... and you never know, some of the folks on this forum (and me) might write some software for it!
5) Put a reasonable camera on the phone, unless you like all your shots looking like they are done in the Mosow subway...
6) Hardware buttons on the 'front' of the phone to do things like home, back etc. Makes better use of that lovely display(which is good imho)
7) Sell it with a bumper to protect the phone or make it more robust.
8) Allow you to remove the ABBYY spyware service (a dictionary that needs to know my contacts???) without rooting.
I might get another one but they seem prone to bomb out and get unrecoverable.. it is a big gamble...
It would seem that Yota is teaming up with ZTE for YotaPhone 3: http://www.androidauthority.com/yotaphone-3-zte-yota-642364/
Interesting to see what this means in practice. ZTE at least has the volume in production Yota has been severely lacking.
My whishlist:
I know it is probably unlikely but it would be cool if it was running Android Marshmallow (One step further towards impossible would be CyanogenMod)... Sooo, I don't know the restrictions to this but I know that the Pebble Time has a color e-paper display, if it's possible to upscale that to the bigger screen, it would be the best. Otherwise please either include a SD-Card slot or at least more internal storage than the YP2. I'm not that into much camera stuff but it wouldn't hurt either... And if anyhow possible, do include NFC, please... And as a final 'request:' add capacitive buttons, I'd be switching from a OnePlus One and just the choice is really great. With all this please do keep the price moderate.
Thanks.
TL;DR:
-Android Marshmallow (possibly CyanogenMod)
-SD-Card slot
-more internal storage
-NFC
-capacitive buttons
-maybe camera improvements
-always on E-Paper color rear display
-decent price?
On my wishlist, there would of course be many point already mentioned by other posters, but here's the top features I'm currently missing on my Yotaphone 2, and that I'd like to see in the Yotaphone 3:
1) First and foremost, a backlight for the EPD screen. I mean, my 100 Euros e-ink reader (Kobo Aura) features a user-selectable (on/off, and brightness level) backlight on its b&w e-ink display, and even when keeping the backlight always on at the minimum setting, I still get a month worth of battery life on a singe charge. Don't get me wrong, the EPD, is wonderfull in daylight, when there sunshine, etc. But right now, I find myself using my Kobo reader half the time because I can keep on reading in the dark, when my wife's asleep.
2) Already mentionned, but I do happen to own a Pebble Time smartwatch with a color e-ink screen, and I'd definitely love to see this technology in the EPD on the Yotaphone 3.
3) Third party software. As stated above, due to the limitations of the EPD (lack of backlight) I still find myself using my Kobo reader, and the lack of EPD-enabled Kobo-compatible e-reader application makes it a PITA to keep my ebook in sync between the two devices. Sure, I could use the Kobo reader on the Yotaphone, but the application is terrible and doesn't suport the EPD.
4) A dictionary that do work. Heck, I even went as far as spending a couple of bucks on additional dictionaries for Abby on the Yotaphone, but it seems that the more dictionaries I add, the less definitions it finds when I lookup an english word in my ebooks...
5) Hardware button, LED notifications, removable battery are definitely on my list, but only after a memory expansion slot (microSD), as 32Gb is definitely too small to hold a decent amount of audio/video.
6) I vote in favor of the better camera, but I'd particularly would appreciate a bigger framerate allowing slow motion videos like on the iPhone/iPod. My kids and wife can produce some great slow-motion videos on their Apple devices, and I can't. Life's not fair... )

2) Already mentionned, but I do happen to own a Pebble Time smartwatch with a color e-ink screen, and I'd definitely love to see this technology in the EPD on the Yotaphone 3.

What do you think of Pebble's color screen in practice? My understanding was that it is basically just a low-power LCD screen, so not a "true" e-ink screen. Does it work well in sunlight? Does it suffer from ghosting like Yota's EPD? Does it go blank when the battery runs out or keep the last image?

I'm really happy with the Pebble Time's color display.
Sure enough, the colors/brightness are far, far from an Apple Watch, say, or my previous smartwatch (Moto 360). But in sunlight the screen is wonderfully easy to read. In poor lighting conditions (indoor, night, whatever....) you do need the backlight, though, but initially I had the motion detection enabled to have the screen automatically backlit when moving my arm to read time, but I found out that most of the time it wasn't needed, and was using power, so now I just press a button (back button) when I need the backlight, and regardless of motion detection the battery life is impressive.
No ghosting at all, unlike the EPD on the Yotaphone, and I didn't completely drain the Pebble battery so I can't be 100% sure that the last image stays on the display in that case.
MCManuelLP said:

I'm going with same tactic as I did with the Yota 2 - google phone name every day once. Nothing solid on dates yet, all we really know it's it's meant to come this year and ZTE are building it.
Based on LACK of development of apps / widgets for the e-ink display i won't even be looking at any news about it never mind buying one !!! really disappointed with yota should have been released in usa

They tried with the indiegogo approach, it didn't outcome well. They could insert the HSPA. Here on Brazil they got the LTE network right, but they didn't move yet.
It's a small company and I hope it gets bigger. They try to sell advances in cellphone tecnology, since most of the others big names on the market just update hardware and software, with no thinking outside the box like before.
I just think the prices are too high. Got myself a second hand one (yet yotaphone 1), really amazing device. I need lots of reading, so this device is just great to me.
I hope yota3 comes to USA and other countries.
Best wishes!
Good luck finding a Chinese manufacturer that listens to the needs of existing customers. But at least they will produce a phone with a competitive price.
Wish list? I agree with others' lists, to keep up the radical reputation will require a large colour EPD.

I want to share some personal experiences that I so far had with the battery/batterylife on this device.
Standard charger test & battery capacity mAh (with cable):
I today did a measurement with an USB tool. I ran the battery dead so it turned off by itself.
Then I plugged in a standard charger (5V, 1A) and let it charge from 0-100% - I wanted to do this first test just with a normal charger. And the charging was done while the phone was turned off.
- At time 17:24 I started the charging and the battery was on 0%
- At time 19:10 (106 minutes later) it showed 100% charged the USB tool show then 2770mah
But I noticed that the charging didn't really stop, it kept charging even when showing 100%.
So I let it charge on to see when it would stop completely....
- At time 19:35 (131 minutes later) it still showed 100% charged, but the USB tool showed then 2949mah and it was stopped!!!
Fast charger test (with cable & Elephones big fast charger).
It charges 45% in only 38 minutes!
It charges 76% in only 62 minutes!
It charges 90% in only 73 minutes!
It charges 100% in only 87 minutes!
That is really quick.
Geekbench 3 battery test results: (run with dimmed display)
http://browser.primatelabs.com/battery3/213325
With the wireless charger pad, it charges rather slow.
30% in 60 minutes
So expect about 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes) for a full charge.
Info:
The battery seems to be very close to the promised 3000mAh. But the battery indicator/percentage (at least for me) didn't seem to be fully correct, or I need to calibrate it some more. Maybe more charge cycles would also help, as I so far only charged it few times.
Regarding normal daily use, I was able to get through about 1 day (23 hours and 10 minutes), but not much more. I observed the battery usage with GSam Battery Monitor and it seems that the phone was held awake 14 hours, I'm not sure what that means, but maybe it is because of wakelocks? that said, I also had email push activated, so it may have checked randomly for new mails also. Besides that I of course also had things like GPS, Dual SIM, WiFi and the Fingerprint scanner activated....
What's your overall impression of the phone? Is there any noticeable lag? Does it feel high quality in the hand?
And the display looks quite nice- is it nice in person?

My overall impression of the phone is really good. No noticeable lag, seems very smooth. And yes it feels very high quality in the hand, very close to a OnePlus 2 I would say. The display looks exactly like in my video also in person. In terms of design and display quality this is maybe the best phone from Elephone so far. I can't remember to have had an Elephone with the same high hardware quality, even the GPS is super good. My only real remark is the batterylife, which could be better.
Thanks for the feedback Styler it really does look like a quality handset.
If you go by the feature list, the only other handset on the market that ticks as many boxes as the P9000 is the Note 5.
That's taking into consideration wireless charging, 4GB RAM, NFC etc. Even then, the P9000 has Laser Focus and Micro USB Type-C which is incredibly handy. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
Hello people
Mine just arrived today. So far it looks like a good device but time (and XDA support) will tell. Here are a couple of observations and early bugs. I hope someone sees this (from Elephone) and fixes it in the next software release.
OBSERVATIONS:
- you can enable navigation bar (stock android soft buttons)
- only installing SuperSU doesn't work
- OS build date is 26.1.2016.
BUGS:
- When you insert a non english SIM card (mine is Croatian) the phone automatically changes the system language to the language of the SIM card. It does this on every restart and no matter which language was previously selected. It does it on both SIM1 and SIM2 slots.
- When restarting the phone the mobile data doesn't work any more. I have to switch it to 3G and then back to 4G and it works then.
- When I enable the navigation buttons (stock soft buttons) the hardware button continues to work (should be switched off). Also, the swipe home button up to open Google Now doesn't work. Don't know if this is a MM feature.
- Volume down buttons has some issues. Volume up works without a problem but volume down doesn't always respond, have to press it harder for it to work.
I hope we'll get a XDA forum section for the P9000 soon. Also, if you have something you would like me to check out on the phone let me know.
@apolloFER I think your problem with the volume button is hardware related, because it works fine always on mine.
@s7yler Yup, I'm pretty sure it is hardware related. But just wanted to mention that there's a chance for that to happen with this device.
There's a bug report form on elephone forum (and an email to do that) so I reported them.
The auto language change will be driving me nuts! I can already tell.
Onwards toward rooting the phone.
adb shell has su access (at /system/xbin/su) and I can remount the system as rw and copy whatever I want to /system/bin. Which should allow me to copy the latest su to that place. Will see if it works.

The thing with the "auto language change" I have also seen on some other china phones, it also happens for me on the Leagoo Elite 1. And yeah it's pretty annoying as my SIM card is German, but I rather want the phone to be in English
btw. post #1 is also now updated with my full video REVIEW, battery test & camera samples for people who don't know the device yet.....

You just have to press and hold the home button to start Google Now... not swipe up... Recent apps will instead be shown when you press the square button. (not holding the circle button then).
This phone looks extremely good. Looking forward to it!
I´m worried about the camera on this one. The sample pictures you posted @s7yler seems to lack in focus. I can´t see the focus in the pictures. No sharpness at all.
I just hope it´s better than my Oneplus One that is just rebooting all the time. And that Gearbest will ship it soon...
Good review BTW @s7yler

How would Gizchina know if it is hardware or software related? it is impossible to know. Could be software but could also be the sensor, I'm not sure what the reason is.

Hi s7yler,
Nice post,
I'm not a pro with Android phones but I had bad experiences with Elephone (bad software, no system update, no after sale service and bad support in the company's forum) in afew words : ''Elephone promises a lot of things but forget it afer sale''...
Maybe The P 9000 will give me hope in this company.
( I saw good price for the Asus Zenphone 2 and XDA have a good support)
What is the score with Antutu 6 Benchmark?
Thank's

Do it support qc 2 charge ? Some chinese phone support qc and mtk fast charge too.

Hello,
I have received the device as well and would love to know if you have figured out a way to root the p9000. That, and Xposed, should help make this device my daily driver.
I am kind of disappointed with the camera. I am yet to see the laser autofocus to work properly. Focusing still takes like 2 secs every time, which is slightly annoying for someone used to quick focus.

Review
README: Being my first Smart Watch review, you might not expect a great review but...you only can say it
Introduction
This is the second SmartWatch released by OUKITEL, the A58. It is an huge upgrade compared to the previous A28, with a sharp IPS screen, excellent speaker quality and innovative UI.
It is powered by the common MT2502C CPU by Mediatek, this is the 2nd gen. of SmartWatch CPU that provides better performance and so on
Unboxing
The package contains basic accessories: 1x Charging Dock, 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x Manual and the SmartWatch (of course)
Its charging dock feels pretty solid, but it isn't so friendly with the Metal Chassis, infact you will notice that i scratched the device near the power button. I recommend to add something soft that doesn't allow the chassis to be in direct contact with the plastic.
Design & Features
Unlike some other smartwatches, this comes with a Metal Chassis supported by a Plastic Back Cover. Also, it comes with a real-leather wrist, that in my case is Black, with Golden Chassis. I know, the color might not be appreciated by some users, but there is also a Silver version that looks pretty good, especially if you replace the leather wrist with a metal wrist.
On the right side there is the Power/Action Button, while on the back side there are the Charging Dock Pins and the Heartrate Sensor.
Its 1.61" IPS screen is just great, do not trust my photos because they look weird, but in real-life i can guarantee you that it is excellent. High-Brightness, Sharp and with Vivid Colors, probably the best small screen i have ever seen. Also, OUKITEL declares to use Sapphire Glass (you'll find a pre-installed plastic protector that i have removed), and it might be true (i can't be sure though) because i'm not able to see any scratch on the screen even after many days of usage. Well Done OUKITEL!
This doesn't mean that it is perfect, its high-brightness isn't battery-friendly. I can't reach more than 1 day and a half with a full charge. I don't know if this is normal or not, but others might prefer a larger battery. I plug my smartwatch every time i have access to the charging dock, basically every time i get back home, so this isn't a problem for me.
As regards the UI, there are many useful features such as Stopwatch, Pedometer, Calendar and many others. Just see my photos below to see all available features.
Even if there is a Pedometer & Sleep Monitor, they have to be activated in order to be used, it means that those features do not work as on Smart Bands where everything is automatically managed. I think this has been made to save battery, so yeah this is a nice idea, but for those for think to replace their Smart Bands it might be an issue.
There are some Clock UIs available that you can choose. Here you can see two of them, Analog & Digital. I'm using the Digital Clock because it is easier to read, and modern.
Notifications are handled through the Android's (or iOS depending on your device) app, and they work almost perfect, except Whatsapp Notification when you have multiple messages, because they get merged without having a list to access. Skype, Telegram and others work perfect though.
The Messaging app doesn't have any issue, you can read all the Device's messages and reply using quick-replies just like "I'll reply you later" or a simple smile "". You can't reply with your own messages, but it is still better than nothing.
As regards the Phone management, it works unexpectedly great. The Dialer is easy-to-use, and the Contacts app is smooth and manages to get also different numbers from the single contact (e.g. a contact with two numbers, mobile and work).
Also the Audio Quality while in-call is good, the Loudspeaker is so loud that the whole SmartBand almost vibrates just like a Subwoofer when there are low frequencies. Voice gets a bit distorted on maximum volume, but with medium volume it is just fine.
When it comes to Audio Quality using BT Music, then you can find the best quality even at maximum volume. Sincerely i'm impressed, it sounds even better than some Smartphone's Speaker. It can be used as a Mini Bluetooth Speaker, but only if you don't mind about battery life hehe.
The Heartbeat Sensor seems to work fine, i don't have another one that i can use to make a comparision, but it seems to be accurate enough and also pretty fast. It just needs 5-10 seconds to get calibrated.
Android App
This is where all Mediatek Smartwatches lose their quality. The Official App linked by OUKITEL in the A58's Manual is the "Fundo Wear" app but....on Android 6 it doesn't work. So i had to use the "Fundo SmartDevice" app that basically is the same app, provided by the same app publisher, but with less features. (no pedometer sync, no sleep monitor sync)
It has almost everything that you need to manage the SmartWatch though. Notifications can be choosen just by triggering the requested apps.
There is the Alert feature that allows you to set the maximum distance between the Device and the SmartWatch so that you won't lose it easily. Basically, it records the Bluetooth Signal Level, and based on this data it alerts you as soon it gets lower. That's a nice feature, but highly dependent on your Device's BT Antenna.
It is also required to Sync Contacts to the SmartWatch and everything else. The only features that you won't be able to manage are: Pedometer, Sleep Monitor and Heartrate. If you have an Android 5.1 device, then you can install the other app and manage also these features.
Conclusion
This device has an huge potential inside, and it is probably one of the best available SmartWatch without Android Wear, but OUKITEL should develop an ad-hoc Android App that would make it even better than how is it now without compatibility issues between different Android versions.
I can't find anything else negative, considering its low-price and high-quality materials, i can say that this is the best-buy unless you don't like its design. Recommended!
Pros:
High-Fidelity & Bright Screen
Great Sound Quality

Sure, i still have it. 2/3 hours is just impossible, are you sure that yours isn't faulty?
Any USB charger can charge it, even a 5V/3A is just fine, the Smartwatch will just use the correct current from the charger (that should be pretty low, less than 0.5A)
how long does your battety lasts if you keep the step counter ative/enabled all the time?

I don't keep it on, this isn't a sport watch, it isn't optimized for this usage.
How do i STOP calls coming through my watch? I disable Call Service & Phone from the all notification & system app. And tried different FunDo app's, nothing works!!

Introduction
After the well-known LES1, LEMFO decided to release a cost-friendly variant without the AMOLED screen and with a lower-res screen. This is the LEMFO LES2
Just like most entry-level chinese smartphones, also this smartwatch comes with a Mediatek MT6580M clocked at 1.3GHz, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of RAM. No 4G connectivity is present.
Unboxing
The package contains more than expected accessories: 1x Charging Dock, 2x Micro-USB Cables (Why? xD), 1x Screwdriver, 1x Kit of extra screws, 1x Screen Protector, 1x Manual, 2x Misc. Paper and the Smartwatch (of course).
Unlike some other charging docks i have tested with other smartwatches, this one feels solid and pretty-well made. It sticks perfectly to the back of the watch and the magnet is powerful enough to keep everything in place. I would recommend to get something high and narrow where to place the dock (Apple iWatch docks would be fine) in order to avoid to stress the wristband while docked.
Design & Features
Compared to the predecessor LES1, it must be said that the design hasn't been improved, and with the lack of a 2.5D curved screen, it doesn't look better at all.
Anyway, the chassis is completely made of metal, it feels as solid as an high-quality standard watch, and the build quality is acceptable.
On the right side there are two identical keys, basically an Home/Power button and a Back button. Both keys feel a bit spongy, but i think this is related to some sort of insulation added inside in order to avoid any kind of liquid and dust intrusion.
As regards the left side, there is only the microphone.
The back features a Removable Metal Back Cover, together with an Heart-Rate Sensor, a Speaker Grill and the Magnetic Pin Connector.
Here you can see where it is possible to insert a Nano-SIM Card for Mobile Connectivity (if want to use it as an indipendent device). I would have expected some sort of plastic cover over the motherboard in order to avoid short-circuits or such, but this way it is easier to replace something inside.
As already mentioned before, the LES2 doesn't use an AMOLED screen anymore, but instead it uses an 1.3" IPS Screen with a resolution of 360x360. Don't expect superb quality or color accuracy, it is as good as a mid-range IPS screen, with a mid-high level of brightness.
The wrist-band is good and bad in the same time. It is super comfortable, soft and pretty cosy for the wrist itself, but it is the classic rubber-band that isn't dust friendly at all, meaning that it will look dirty almost everytime. Personally i would have preferred a less comfortable but more hygienic variant.
Software and Usage
This smartwatch runs an heavily customized version of Android 5.1, with November 2015 Security Patches (???), and an overall nice user-experience. There are Custom UIs available online too, but i can't mirror them here.
Here is a video where i show you all features of the UI, so i won't be describing them in the paragraph. There is no audio so don't worry, you can just enjoy the video just like it is a slideshow
Many watchfaces are pre-installed, and it is possible to install other ones directly from the watch, as shown in this other video i made (same way as before, no audio...).
Something i don't find impressive is the Android App used to sync notifications with the smartphone. The UI is pretty simple, easy to understand, but there is an huge lack of features. Basically, it handles only three features: Notifications, Find the Target (in case of loss) and File Transfer. That's it!
Even though it lacks features, it is working as should, even if sometimes gets killed in the background (probably only on Xiaomi's MIUI). Also, it is not available on the Play Store!
Talking about the Battery Life, it isn't superb either. Even without a SIM-Card inserted, with Bluetooth always-on and WiFi off, it barely reaches one day of usage, using it only for notifications and to check the time.
Conclusion
Sincerely i am a bit confused about this new model. Compared to the LES1, it is clear enough that what we get is a downgrade, but the lack of a proper sync app and a pretty limited battery life, do not convince me entirely.
Talking about the positive stuff, the design is clean, it doesn't feel fragile, and performance-wise it is just perfect, it doesn't have any lag even when stressed. This is probably the most similar experience to an Android Wear smartwatch.
Instead, talking about the negative stuff, the screen doesn't look great, battery life is limited barely reaching a day of standard usage (with no SIM-Card inserted) and the lack of a proper android app to sync watchfaces or everything else limit its usage slightly.
So, is this a smartwatch that should be considered? Maybe, if the LES1 won't be produced anymore and if this gets way cheaper than its predecessor, then yes, otherwise, keep looking at the LES1.
Pros:
Solid Chassis
Great Design
Comfortable Wrist-Band
Smooth User Interface
Cons:
Outdated Android Security Patches
Lack of Android App features
Barely sufficient Battery Life
Mediocre IPS Screen
Rating:
Packaging and Accessories: 9.5
Design and Materials: 9.5
Performance & Usage: 9.5
Screen: 7
Sound: 8
Battery Life: 6
Price: 8

It's very important that people understand what this is.
It is a rebadged Finow X3 +. It just has 16gb storage rather than 8gb.
It's firmware is sadly not much different apart from the same UI as the X5 Air.
The gps is flawed on the original and it will be interesting to see if is the same is true here.
The straps are prone to snap off close to the body of the watch.
The connection points for charging and data suffer very badly from corrosion from sweating.
Battery life is pretty bad and you might find that auto sync is permanently disabled in the system so that push messages are not available. At least this is true of the X5 Air.
I have suggested fixes for some of these issues but sadly they have been ignored by the manufacturer.
I am happy to be proved wrong here and I hope I am wrong - for the sake of the customers.
But until I get hold of one (if I get hold of one) please check out what I have said as I would be impressed if it is not true.
Cheers
Pablo.

It does look identical to most Android 5.1 smartwatches, same OS basically.

Mine seems to work decently, at least for now.

At least on mine, these issues are not present.
I'm waiting for LEMFO to release its firmware so that i can work on a Custom ROM, since it requires huge improvements.
Yes, it takes a while, normally a couple of weeks or months for the issues to materialise.
Just have a look at users experience with the X3 plus.
It is the same same watch - confirmed.
However, I still have my X3 plus and it still works but then I don't use it. I keep it for support purposes for the forum members.

Any word on the firmware release? I have been using the LES2 for about a week & the firmware blows. I can't even get gmail to install or most other apps for that matter. Also a lot of the settings seem to be missing that you would expect to find. A few examples are storage, users, battery.
Some app settings like google play. The background is white with the text font color being white. You can barely read the text. This is absolutely pitiful.
The firmware cannot be that different from the Finow X3 or Les1. I don't believe that these issues exist with either of those.

Considering their behavior, I don't think so.
Flash a compatible rom maybe? Since many of these devices are practically equal, i dunno.
I revive my les 2 dead after trying intalling another flash rom
first of all sorry for my english but i only speak spanish, Well i tell my experience after a 2 days of attempting reviving my les 2. i tried a few roms similar like the les 1 rom but nothings works on a lot of mistakes in the attempt DR_RAM errors NAND FLASH Errors (when i boot the smartwatch only stripes in the screen and bootloop) etc... well the only slution by the moment that i found is first FORMAT with the SCATTER FILE of lemfo 1
after FLASH in DOWNLOAD mode ONLY SELECT THE PRELOADER with the same scatter file STEP 2 finally FLASH with the rom of FINOW x3 PLUS w612_X3+_160927 but untick the PRELOADER box, i guess maybe i lose the 8gb of memory extra due to download the FINOW X3 PLUS firmware but the lemfo recognized me the 16gb. I'll be testing all the features and any change I notice
This stock watchface (with flags) is amazing. Anyone can post a link to download it?

All works fine with the firmware of the FINOW X3+ (with this firmware it can be rooted and install the TWRP) only 2 issues the first i had to recover the IMEI with the apk MTK ENGINNER and second i lose the heart pedometer function but im not sure if its because of the root or another cause. The root and the TWRP boot works well with some versions of the FINOW Firmware but the google play works rather slow
nice work.
Do you confirm losing 8gb storage as well with that rom?

The Smartwatch still have 16gb -3gb of the rom
Can you get access online for clock faces? Did you manage to create a ROM image from stock?
Hey,
I finally got access to the official firmware of LEMFO LES2, given by LEMFO themselves. There is hope after all.
