Another update but still no oreo

i got another monthly upadte but not oreo..

so, the way out is.. waiting with patience?!

My guess is they're going to directly update to 8.1 and skip 8.0 as it's less buggy. It wouldn't have taken this long?

Did u install this without problem? I already have the 1oct security patch and then this morning this new update show up...but after the download it fail the installation

But for what they rolled out this update ????

yes i successfully installed it. But feel no difference

Yes is just a security patch anyway can you check in the settings if know you're on 1 October or 5 October security patch?

1st October same as before. but build no. changed

The kernel has changed as well, the only difference I can see is the telefoto lens seems to be more natural

Maybe it's a prerequisite for the Oreo Update. I had the OnePlus X before this one which got a small update like this for better support of marshmallow.

Looks like normal update. Has adequate changelog with many translations. Has 3 files.

Always use full-ota update (around 2gb). And there's no update with April Security patch yet. The one with March security patch hasn't rolled out officially too.

The April patch is on FF but neither that or march are approved yet

There also a newer build, b368.
And I don't think it's approved yet.

Received via OTA last Monday (4/16) with my rebranded mate 9. Worked like a charm.

Updated to MHA-L29C636B368 using HWOTA8 without issue.

I think there are some optimizations included in B366.[Optimization] not like in B368 [Security]

B368 is officially out.
Also, there is b371 on firmware finder, which has face unlock feature.

Actually, thats what i said. 368 is already out.
The one that I mention on FF is b371, which has face unlock feature. So you don't need Magisk Module anymore to use face unlock feature.
But, still gonna have to wait until it approved or release via ota.
Btw, mine got 2 patch which explained the big size as i still on b362. Too busy to update.

So the 372 has appeared on FF, & all it has is the June security patch.
The good news is that 371 with Face Unlock & may security patch will be approved anytime now

Interesting....370 is the only one showing up for me (L29C567B370) (8.0.0.370)
Shows 2018.06.04 release. 372 doesn't show up.
Oh well...few days it will show approved. I'm starting to see a quicker turnaround
March showed up late April, April showed up first week of May, May showed up
about the 2rd week of May for me.

Got MHA-L29.8.0.0.396 yesterday OTA............ May security update

I am still on .366. what gives

I got the May version, about mid-May, so I'm guessing in the next week or two, the June one should hit.

Using it now with Firefly kernel. Everything works well and is very smooth.
I hope Huawei continues to update the phone to 8.1 and even 9.

Maybe not as much if there are tutorials on how to use what you said to upgrade, and also allow us to use Huawei's camera app which is the main reasons why many of us bought the phone.

I use firmware finder, once it shows approved, I check the use proxy,
then, go to the wireless setting of your phone, bring up the list of wireless
connections you have, HOLD down the one you are connected to, to bring
up the settings, set the proxy for manual, set the hosts to localhost, the
proxy to 8080.
SAVE it, then go to the built in software update app under settings in the phone
and download the update.

It could be that someone who's upgrading to the November update directly from the September update. Haven't recieved any updates yet.

From what I saw, yes. The users that skip an update get a much larger ota update later than what a regularly updated user would get.

yah, i got that (224.0 MB) previously im on oct security patch v9.6.14.0
and after the patch i got v9.6.16.0
nothing noticed what have change in real

@twentyfourinc , the security patch updates are about 100mb, everything above has some changes for phone itself.

I just got v9.6.16 after the update, I think it's just the November security patch, mine was 300mb, but I was on June security patch before

I just got the same updates

About phone on top is starting of pie, in pie about phone is on the top... So we are getting pie in next update for sure... Seems time is over... By month end we should get pie now
