VOlte on aosp/lineage based oreo roms - OnePlus 3T Guides, News, & Discussion

Why is no Oreo ROM for OnePlus 3/T supporting VOLTE? I do not like using oxygen os or roms based on it, always have preferred lineage/aosp based roms. None of these seem to have VOlte. When will the feature roll out? Can't there be a .zip file which enables volte like for the Lenovo zuk Z2?

Check the forums. Do research. Use the search function. Do all that. You posted on the wrong Device Forum, since you're asking for a Lenovo Device.
Some ROMs use different/unique sources, where some don't use VoLTE.

I'm not asking for a Lenovo device. I'm just saying that there is a zip file which enables VoLte in any rom. Can't there be such a .zip file for OnePlus 3/T?

ZUK Z1 VoLTE Support

Wanted to know if there is any way to enable VoLTE on ZUK Z1.
Is there any custom ROM that I could flash on this phone to enable VoLTE?

You cannot update it to VoLTE and there's no official announcement from Lenovo/ZUK on when you can.

Please read the perv post before posting anything..
Zuk z1 doesn't have proper baseband and radio support so you can't get one until those gets updated
So you just can't get voLTE....
Guys, Ask that Question to Lenovo Support.
XDA and XDA Devs has nothing to deal with it.
We will have VoLTE when Lenovo support team provides New MODEM..
TIll then use Jio4gVoice..

Zuk z1 Volte solved
After the release of Marshmallow ROMS, many users are really disappointed to see that VoLTE feature is no longer working, so many devs tried their luck to fix this problem but none of them worked because officially MM was not released. Luckily few days back @Naphtha gave us the latest MM AOSP Qualcomm ROM and now I have a fix for the VoLTE issue, Yes!! Now we can enjoy our beloved Jio Network. So let's start!!
Pre-requistes
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. You have to be in Marshmallow ROM
Steps
1. Download and extract the MODEM+DSP_MM_FIXVoLTE.zip from link , AFH Link [updated - 18-jan-2017]
2. Put your phone in fastboot mode, then connect your device and Run Flash.bath

Have you tried?
If Yes , then post some screenshots.
Also, I think that is a fix for Kenzo. NOT for ham.
I'll be surprised if this was not another troll post.

Yup... So I thought. A troll post. Just went through the .bat file in the attachment.
Its meant for Redmi Note 3 ONLY. If anyone tries to flash, they'll brick their phones.
Hello @strongst,
I know you would be pretty annoyed after reading further but...I have some questions about VoLTE.
My Questions :
1) Do you know what is the exact problem regarding VoLTE support on our phone? Is it just the firmware driver (the same we can see in QPST)? It seems that the internet doesn't have a whole lot of answers.
2) Does any phone having Qualcomm Modem and having VoLTE support work on our phone too? Although, I didn't find any device having SD 801 having VoLTE BUT I found this company called becrypt and they have this phone called "tough mobile". The specifications are listed HERE. They say that it supports VoLTE.
PS : I chose this thread because at least the OP knows how to write "VoLTE" properly.

Do we have use of volte in serbia
How about spamming lenovo instead of XDA ? Yes, Volte is possible I made a modem that supports volte but its really buggy we need modem.b15,18 OEM build otherwise we can't push volte as it will have dropping bug so better ask lenovo for VOLTE not us because if modem can't support VOLTE we can't add support for it into ROMs
spamming lenovo

Lenovo will not listen to us as the matter is directly connected to their sale of new smartphones.
They are more focused to sale than customer satisfaction.
We are only dependent on you bro.. @dev
Hmm sadly nothing could be done then @lokeshpatihar as hyperteam modem cant be open sourced so no volte for public
any other alternatives..

Sorry to say but i have little knowledge of custom roms,
Are there any other alternatives like custom roms,or any thing else?
I saw some threads that R.R (some verson) have volte enabled in lenovo a6000+, is that true?

what about Android Oreo? Redmi Note 3

It's Now boring to flash 7.1.2
So many Roms available for Redmi Note 3 pro
As it is now even available official update of MIUI.
Now is there any possibility of getting Oreo as Custom Rom ???? Via any sources ???
I think Google has Already realized the orignal OTA of Oreo..:victory:
If you have taken your time to use the search button you would have known that there are threads already created for this same discussion. Make yourself useful by also making the rom instead of asking unnecessary questions.
PS: I will be glad to be your rom tester when you are done making Android Oreo for our device
Lets keep all Oreo discussions in one thread

Project Treble (Unofficial) now available for OP5T

This news wasn't spreading as fast as it should.
Project Treble is now available for the OP5T. Some talented developers have been working on getting it to work. The OP5T has an unused partition of about 1.7GB that can be used as a vendor partition and allow our devices to be Treble compatible.
See the thread below for more info in the Project Treble section of our Forums.
It looks like the easiest way to to this as the moment is to flash the latest Mokee. There is a trebelizer.zip available as well, which should then allow you to flash any GSI or "Generic System Image", essentially a ROM for Treble-compatible devices. In theory, any GSI should work with any Treble-compatible device.
