[Q] How to disable lockscreen to camera animation?

Hello guys,
I'm using kitkat with TWRP and root. I notice that the time from unlock device to take a picture ranges from 3 to 4 seconds.
We know there's an animation when you slide right-to-left until camera app loads, which possibly takes ~ 1 second. My question is, is there a way to kill this animation?
Found this after 10 seconds of search on the Playstore. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.warpcode.nexus7camerawidget&hl=en
You might need to disable face unlock for it to work correctly or you'll get a black screen when the camera launched and have to switch camera mode to get the image back.

Feedback Thread: Tell Honor What You Want in Future Software Updates!

Feedback Thread: Tell Honor What You Want in Future Software Updates!
How is everyone enjoying their Honor 8? I was curious about what everyone wanted to see in future updates or maybe the next version of the phone.
Some things I'd like to see
Android 7.0
App Drawer
More Theme Options
Power plan scheduler as said by @Droiderr at http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/power-plan-scheduler-t3482030
App drawer,
Good reflective design aesthetics,
Better RAM Management without closing more recently used apps,
Default VoLTE support and support for all LTE bands in that region.
I would like to see android 7.0 for sure
And I know it may just be me but I would like the phone on just standard android not emui.
My only other gripe is ram management and the way it handles closing recent apps.
To use smart keys for home, back or app switch
1. Better screen calibration by default.
2. Double tap the screen to wake.
3. Extend the functionality of the smart key. Eg. -While the screen is on, tapping on the fingerprint will function as back key. This is usefull for app that use full screen such as browser.
-Tap and hold to turn off the screen. This is a feature that is available on meizu device which is very useful. No need to press, just tap and hold the fingerprint and boom the screen turn off.
4. Performance and smart powerplan shortcut on the shortcuts tab. Might as well add 720p(rog mode) toggle.
5. Better camera interface. The current interface seriously need some redesign! Why the hdr is seperated from auto mode? The pro/manual mode uses ring adjustments which is annoying. Why not a simpler like a straight horizontal line for focus, exposure time,wb,iso adjustment?
6. Fix the damn camera settings! Whenever I open up the pro mode, the auxiliary light always turned on. It doesnt save my setting! Same goes to the image adjustment.
1080p stabilization without losing so much quality of the video. It looks worse than a normal 720p video.. and ability to zoom in the videos with using all the 12mp sensor, not just 'software zoom'
7.0
Better ram management
Better notifications! Quick reply from notification shade, not just in heads up.
Lockscreen improvements, reply from lockscreen
Update themes from theme app. So I don't have to go download the updates themes and put them in theme folder
I would like to see Android 7.0.1 as soon as possible.
Need to be able to change the notification volume independently of the ring volume, just like on my old Galaxy S5. Notifications should be on the volume list with its own slider!
center clock mod.
ambient display and double tap to wake.

Is anyone from Huawei aware of this thread?
I agree with everyone! This is a great phone but EMUI 5.0 update needs to come soon!
Something that hasn't been mentioned is discarding of notifications on the lock screen, e.g. swipe to the right.

Yup. Need to access Notifications and Quick toggles in the notification bar from lock screen like the one in Moto.
Double tap box key to fast switch previous application
'movie' display mode - like the one in samsungs
and nougat 7.0 of course ;p

Google Pixel Tips and Tricks (Share the tips you discovered)

1. See your Home screen on the big screen
Before you cast, ensure your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Cast device and that you have the latest version of your choice of Google Cast app.
Open the Google Cast app.
Select "Cast Screen" from the menu and tap "Cast Screen.".
2. Share your phone but protect your info
Swipe down the top edge of the screen to open Quick Settings.
Tap the user icon on the top right and select "Add a Guest" to start Google Guest Mode.
When you get the phone back, end Guest Mode by tapping the user icon and selecting "Remove Guest".
Tap "Remove" to delete all apps and data from the guest's session.
3. Swipe for notifications
Open Settings.
Tap "Moves".
Make sure the slider next to "Swipe for notifications" is in the "On" position.
Now, swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to check your notifications from any screen.
4. Translate signs on the go
Ensure you have the Google Translate app on your phone and open it.
In the top-left corner, select the language of the text you're looking at.
In the top-right corner, select the language you'd like to see the text in.
Tap the camera icon, point your camera at the text you want to translate.
To pause the camera and see the translated text, tap "Pause" in the bottom right corner of the screen.
To resume, tap "Play".
5. Enable pulse notification LED
Concealed in your Pixel's front-facing speaker is a tiny LED light that can be used to notify you of missed messages. It's turned off by default, but you can enable this feature in just a few simple taps: Settings> Notifications> Tap on the Gear icon in the top-right corner > Toggle on the "Pulse notification light". And voila! Your Pixel will now blink its notification light when you have a notification waiting.
6. Make the screen wake up when you get a notification
You can make you Pixel's screen wake up when it gets a new notification such as a text message, an email or a missed call, etc.
To turn on the feature, Go to Settings> Display and enable Ambient Display.
7. End an on-going call using the power button
You can use the power button on your Google Pixel to cut an on-going call. To enable this feature, go to Settings> Accessibility and enable Power button ends call option.
8. Using the multi-window or split-screen functionality
In the past, we've seen the multi-window feature on some Samsung and LG devices. Android Nougat has multi-window feature baked into the very OS. It is quite obvious that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL have the multi-window or split-screen functionality enabled by default.
To be able to use the multi-window functionality on the Google Pixel, you must have some open apps in the Recents. Suppose you want to use Chrome and Facebook apps simultaneously, you need to open them individually first and then close the apps. After that,
Open one of the apps.
Then tap and hold the Recents button on the navigation bar.
When the multi-window mode is on, the recents icon will split into two parts (see above).
The opened app will start showing in a window covering the upper-half of the screen.
On the lower window, you'll see the recent apps.
Just select the app you want to use on the other part of the screen.
To resize the window, you can drag the "—" icon up or down (see the highlighted areas in the screenshot above.
To close multi-window, just tap and hold the Recents button on the nav bar.
9. Instantly see time and notifications when the screen is sleeping
Actually, I experienced this feature first after my iPhone 6 received the iOS 10 update. It is really a very useful feature that wakes up the screen as soon as you take your phone out of the pocket or lift it.
The Google Pixel/Pixel XL received this feature after the Android 7.1.1 update. As soon as you hold the phone and lift it up, it displays the current time, day, date, your previously set lock screen personal message and notification cards from different apps.
10. Enable battery percentage on status bar
On most Android devices, you can enable Battery percentage on status bar option from Settings> Battery. On the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones, the feature has been disabled by Google for some reasons.
Don't worry, as you can easily make your Google Pixel to show battery percentage on the status bar. Well, it's a bit tricky, but it works:
Swipe down the status bar to bring down the quick settings or the notification panel.
Now press and hold on the Settings gear icon for a few seconds.
You'll see a toast message box saying "Congrats! System UI Tuner has been added to Settings".
Now open Settings and scroll down to System UI Tuner and tap it.
Tap on Status bar in the System UI Tuner menu.
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to find the Battery option and tap it.
Select Always show percentage option from the menu that pops up.
You'll now be able to see battery percentage on the status bar.
Done! The only issue is, the battery percentage shows on the battery icon and is so small in size that you might need a magnifying glass to read it. LOL!
Anyway, there's another way to easily find the battery level percentage of on your Google Pixel. Just swipe the status bar with two fingers and you will find the battery percentage just bellow the battery icon in the quick settings page.

I love the you can copy and paste by simply dragging text between windows in multi-window. That blew my mind!

Apps showing through lockscreen

Some apps such as Magisk when you click on a module for the description, and contacts when you search for a name show on the lockscreen. This allows anyone picking up your phone to see what you're doing.
I'm curious to know of any other apps do this or if there is a way to prevent it.
Here is one example
It's a bug with the AOD module you're using and is mentioned in that thread.

That was my mistake. The layout in your screenshot is the typical AOD format. I use single tap, which just wakes up to the One Plus AOD display, the double tap wakes up just like pressing the power button.
The AOD mod uses the traditional AOSP AOD, which looks like what your screenshot is. But that mod has a bug where info is displayed. I've confirmed this while I was running the mod.
For you and others having this bug. Can you give a little info? What rom version are you running, and what launcher are you running?
Running 9.0.6 on T-Mobile, using lawnchair launcher. I can not recreate this. I can only recreate it while running the AOD mod.
9.0.6 global 6t, nova prime

I apologize for very little info in the OP, I was driving and didn't want to text too much lol.
Version 9.0.6 global.
Lawnchair launcher.
Only double tap to wake enabled.
Magisk modules: BusyBox, Greenify, iOS emojis, Universal GSM Doze, and YouTube Vanced black.
Those 2 situations are the only time I've been able to duplicate the issue. Never had it show my desktop like another person stated.

My assumption is it might be a bug in OOS then. Cause I've seen this with the AOD mod. The way the mod works is just enabling AOD that OnePlus disabled. The code is there, they just disable it and then add in their own. (The clock view when you pick up the phone or whatever).
The fact it happens with that mod, and it happens with users who are using double tap to wake (which wakes the device to the lock screen). It seems to be a bug with the lock screen.
I would try searching on the OnePlus forums for this bug. If you see a bunch of comments about it, it will at least be known it's an OOS bug and it'll be fixed at some point. Since most of those people will be running stock.
If you care about security, I would try single tap, and see if that resolves it until it's fixed.
To be clear, I'm not using double tap to wake. It happens when I press the power button.
Oops sorry
I can recreate this behavior everytime..
This happens with all apps that use the system share screen, example gallery app...open any picture ...press share icon on the bottom...share menu comes up...lock the device(power button)...press power to come to lockscreen and viola transparent lockscreen...
I am not rooted or unlocked, talking about stock device here 9.0.6...
Guys I think I figured this on out and would love you all to test it and confirm.
I'd been using a wallpaper set through the Google Wallpapers app and have been noticing the issue regularly with Magisk manager, Boost, and Google Home to name a few. After setting a wallpaper directly using an image through my Launcher (op Launcher) I was able to see that the issue was resolved.
Any time I set a wallpaper through backdrops, Google Wallpapers, Resplash, the issue returns.
Let me know what you guys find.

My wallpaper is simple black image through Nova Launcher and I was having this issue occur. It's very sporadic, I haven't found any clear pattern
Cube, see if you can set it through the stock Launcher or even use the Set As function in your gallery and see if you have the same result. I haven't had the problem since changing the way I set Wallpapers. Only crap thing about it is I can't use the pixel live Wallpapers I was using before.
Fix
Go to settings, look up app locker and select the hide all information tab.
