How to install GMS Core Packages on brand-new Huawei? - Huawei Y625 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone!
Like some people here before me, I have problems installing GMS core packages on my brand-new Huawei that I bought some weeks ago in China. (EMUI 5.1, Android 7.0, Model number TRT-AL00A, Build Number TRT-AL00AC00B210)
I read through some of the posts here and in other forums, but whenever I tried to install the downloads, I got an error message. (I need to admit, I am not a very tech-savvy person..)
So I guess the main problem is that my Huawei version is simply too new - is that correct? Has anyone encountered similar problems or discovered a solution?
Thanks for your consideration!
All the best,
Tobias

Does this needs to be installed in the recovery? Tried intalling it directly and it failed, said that it didn't find any certificates in the installation package.

Tried with adb also, didn't work. Gave me this message:
C:\ADB Toolkit>adb install GmsCore.apk

MIUI V5 for Meizu MX_3.8.9

My English is very poor
http://www.miui.com/thread-1297535-1-1.html

- Supported phone models for the M030, M031, M032
- Recommended end package for the flyme 2.1.3

Hey all, FYI the latest version of MIUI fo Meizu MX (M030, M031, M032) may be found here:
[Meizu MX] [合作开发组] MIUI V5 for Meizu MX_3.11.8 by helinchun (4.1.x JB)
I had success installing it from a prerooted Flyme 2.1.x ROM (3.0.39-oversea kernel). The package only modifies the /system and /data partitions, leaving the bootloader, kernel & recovery still intact. It means the device is still perfectly capable of reflashing an official update.zip, although I don't believe Meizu will ever release a newer one beyond the 2.4.1 "test firmware".
- MIUI has a built-in superuser management UI, you don't need to install your version of su+superuser/supersu
- Some applications are .CN specific. I recommend slipstreaming Google Play (vending) and a standard keyboard such as TouchPal X / LatinIme in the zip package (you may want to look at other MIUI V5 ROMs in the forum for examples)
MIUI Installation for Meizu MX:
0- ALL IMPORTANT DATA BACKED UP AND SECURED IN A SAFE PLACE. your current rom is rooted (HK, or CN with Flyme open system privileges), with RW access to /system. Copy your MIUI zip package to /sdcard/
1- Install RecoveryInstaller.apk, open it and grant it elevated privileges when requested
2- click first button with some chinese text to install files to /system (no other partition is altered)
3- click second button with some chinese text to complete & restart phone. After reboot you should land in the MIUI recovery program for MX and MX2
4- It is not touch-enabled, use Vol+/Vol- to navigate, Back/Menu to Cancel/OK
5- Factory Reset + Wipe Cache + Wipe Data
6- Install from ZIP on sdcard (not update.zip), let it operate for a while
7- After install, go up/back into "Power" menu and restart phone
8- Phone will remain on the MIUI logo for a long time on the first run (generating cache, I suppose). LEAVE IT ALONE, DO NOT INTERRUPT IT. It shall last 5 minutes or so.
9- ???
10- Profit!
Notes:
- You may continue to use the normal Meizu recovery mode (VolUp+Power) to flash a stock update or radio firmware.
- I cannot provide support for everyday use of the phone, as mine's been given away to another person.
- Apparently you don't need a Xiaomi account to use the ROM.
Unrelated remark:
- Android 4.4 (KK/KLP) has minimal specs of 512 MB RAM, thanks to improvements in Linux Kernel 3.8 - yet Samsung hasn't released a 4412 BSP with 3.8 AFAIK

Hey thanks! Seems to be updated weekly too!
Too bad the transfer speeds from China are horrendous (any chance for a mirror?). I'm on 1 gbps and still max out at a measly 30 kB/s. Oh well, i'll just wait for a few hours.
Hi man, thank you so much for your installation steps! Just installed it from flyme 2.1.3 .. I think the post says to install from 2.4.1, but I'm not sure.. Anyway, seems to be working ok. Do you think it will be an issue in the future?

I got distracted and never actually got to installing it, so now I'm back almost a year later.
AND IT WORKS!
MIUI V5 is still being updated each week for the MX, and the latest release works great. It made my phone feel alive again.
ALL the files i used:
RecoveryInstaller.apk: From OP of this thread.
Flyme OS 2.1.3 downgrade : http://meizufans.eu/forum/thread-m03x-flyme-2-1-3-official
Latest MIUI from official site: http://en.miui.com/download-188.html
Then just follow TwoPointZero's instructions.

Beta

Hey i saw that there is Huawei app from witch you can get android 7 (if you are in Europe) but you need to have b160 and if i have b161 i can downgrade with 3 button method? And after that i will be able to join beta?
Yes you can downgrade with 3 button method. After that maybe you can, maybe you can't join the beta. There are limited slots for the beta as I understand so they won't pick everyone who applies.

Use the search function, don't be lazy.
This is a link posted on here somewhere that takes you to a german site and I used the B161 version (there is a B160 as well) and it worked using the following:-
https://www.huaweiblog.de/downloads/huawei-p9-lite-b160b161-firmwareupdate/
installation translated from german
Download Huawei P9 Lite firmware package (make sure you get the right model - L21 or L31)
Put the unpacked "update.app" file on the SD card of the P9 Lite into the dload folder.
Using Dialer and input the following code * # * # 2846579 # * # *
Select "Software Upgrade" and start SD Update
After the update the P9 Lite restarts and carries out the usual optimization - this can take a few minutes so have patience.

[Help] update partition MBR failed

I am having Huawei Honor 3C H30-U10, It was running fine but some days back when I plugged in charger it restarted and hung up on welcome screen (no animated logo). Seems like I need to install Stock Rom to it.
Phone Details:
Huawei Honor 3C H30-U10
Build Number: H30-U10 V100R001C900B108
International Variant
I download Stock ROM for it with version B108 but it was in SP Flash Tool format. My phone isn't recognised by my laptop even though I have VCOM drivers installed.
This force me to think I need to download Stock ROM but which is in dload and UPDATE.APP form. It was hard for me to get any ROM H30-U10 V100R001C900B108 in UPDATE.APP form. Fortunately I got one from
forum.lowyat . net/topic/3237141/+1260
(Please look at: 7. V100R001C900B108 ROM (update.app))
Upon pressing Volume UP+Power Key It successfully went to updating from SD Card but I am receiving this error log on screen:
Code:
md5_verify success
dloading module CURVER.....
main version string=H30-U10 V100R001C900B108
dloading module VERLIST.....
Main version from property is H30-U10 V100R001C900B108
main version check: the market is same. go to continue..
current version in VERLIST, allow to update.
dloading module MBR.....
dload:update partition MBR failed
Update /sdcard/dload/update.app failed

My question is
Why I am getting this error?
What are the other possibilities that I can do to bring back this phone to life?
PS:
Pointing to this dload:update partition MBR failed Shopkeeper (Mobile technician) told me your phone internal memory is full or corrupted. You can't get it right until you change the hardware part associated with memory. Is he right?
Guys, I tried hard to search this question on internet and I didn't find anything. Please provide rich information so that other community use it for reference.
