flashing an unlocked S8 with ATT firmware to enable HD Voice (volta) and Numbersync? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

So i have an issue that my s3 frontier watch (att branded) cant be used for numbersync with an unlocked s8 that we have.. after hours in chat with att reps, they came to the conclusion that because hd voice doesnt show enabled for the phone, since not att branded.. the solution is to go to a best buy and have the phone (wiped) flashed with the att firmware?
Has anyone done this either at the store or on their own.. is there anyway to avoid wiping the phone.. or maybe some other workaround..
Thanks in advance

[Q] Verizon S5 in Canada

Hello,
Ive been using a Verizon S5 in Canada for the past year. I didn't have to unlock the phone, and it works fine except for a few things.
I recently rooted the S5 to get rid of some Verizon bloatware. My only problem right now is not being able to call the *611 customer service number. It keeps ringing the Verizon one instead of Canada's Koodo one.
Also unable to check voicemails because of this.
If anyone could let me know a fix for this please let me know!
Thanks

Verizon Galaxy S5 no longer Unlocked after sending phone to Samsung for repair

Tl;dr: I recently sent my Verizon Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V) to Samsung to get repaired/looked at and after I got the phone back, it seems to no longer be an unlocked device, as it will not recognize my T-Mobile SIM card anymore.
After calling Samsung and waiting on hold for over an hour, I was told by a supervisor in Technical Support that Samsung does some sort of software flashing whenever they receive a phone to be worked on, and that this "software flash" must have caused the phone to lose its unlocked status. She also said that she has no idea how Verizon unlocks their phones, as Samsung phones are shipped out to Verizon as devices locked to only work with Verizon (or whichever carrier they are being sold to).
Also, I believe that everything on this phone is stock and it's currently running Android 5.0.
Does anyone know of a way for me to get this Galaxy S5 to be SIM card carrier unlocked again?
Particularly, is there a way for me to download/install something and accomplish this myself?
As always, helpful replies will be sincerely appreciated!

I need some serious help from the Smartest people. Sim unlock questions

Ok, I know this will be long, but I'll try to keep it short. Thanks again for your help.
I have an s7 sprint phone, after calling for two weeks and hearing the same tune, they unlocked my phone. I switched to tmobile and have a loaner phone even as of now because of stupid sprint. When I put the tmobile sim card in it says invalid sim card. So, I go to sprint and they said yes it is in fact unlocked. The guy seems really he wants to help, He can't get the t mobile sim to work also, matter of fact there is no options for network apn or nothing with the new t mobile sim card in. You have to put in the old sim card from sprint and there is the options. He even tried to some how change apn there on the spot by swapping sims while the sprint sim gave him options. He typed in all the t mobile info from t mobile site and it says unrestricted network. So he said its prob. sprints software locking the other networks. He said t mobile will have to flash it with their software. I go back to t mobile they have no idea what flashing even is. Unlike the sprint store they don't have a tech room with workers dedicated to working on phones.
SO, basically I'm trying to say my phone shows unlock on their side but i'm not to sure if it's showing it on myside. I can't use my phone at all i'm paying t mobile loaner j7 phone and stuck with an almost brand new s7 that either side has no idea. T mobile says its not unlocked over and over, sprint is saying it is unlocked.
I found a similar post at sprint, but it dead ended with nothing.. I can't post links, but by reading it you may understand more it's on the sprint site titled: samsung galaxy s7 edge SIM unlock
Thanks so much to whom ever can help. Have a nice day. I'm sizzling here

I have a Galaxy S7 N930P from Sprint that I use here in Canada. I ended up flashing the unlocked N930U firmware (the Sprint variant), and all works well now. No Sprint bloatware, full access to my APNs again, unlocked bands, etc. I had to get the new firmware from SamFirm (or Sammobile), connect phone to computer via USB, reboot to download mode, run odin, then flashed the BL, AP, CP, and CSC (not the home CSC...the other one) files in the firmware's .zip using Odin 3.12.7. Worked for me, and sounds like something that might work in your case too. Worth exploring at least
Try flashing the unbranded firmware or if you moving to T-Mobile you can flash the T-Mobile branded firmware too.

Sorry for hijacking the tread - what will happen if I flash Tmo or U firmware into locked Sprint phone?

First off, changing the firmware will not sim unlock the the sprint device, if you do flash to say a tmo branded firmware you will basically have a tmo branded device but still locked to Sprint. same thing applies if you flash the U firmware on a locked sprint device.
It's best to first have sprint unlock the device remotely then flash tmo or u firmware.

Unlock Samsung S7 on Sprint (Help Needed)

Hello all!
I bought the Samsung S7 phone in unlocked condition from eBay in US. Then I had to move to India for work related purposes and I was able to use the phone using an Indian sim. The phone developed charging issues and it was not charging. So I had to send it to US where Samsung changed the motherboard. Now, I received the phone which is working but it shows invalid sim if I put any Indian sim. It seems Samsung have restored the phone to original settings which is locked to Sprint network. Samsung tells me to contact Sprint. While Sprint says that they need the account details or confirmation from the person who bought the phone from Sprint. The eBay account from which I got the phone does not exist anymore.
I think I need to unlock the phone so that I can use other sim in India. Could anyone suggest what could be done here?
Thanks!
