Creating xml files from Z17mini - ZTE Nubia Z17 Mini Questions & Answers

I did brick my Z17mini 6GB 128GB Biue.
After a months search, I could not manage to unbrick it as only QFIL is able to see the hand set when connected to my laptop. But I do not have rawprogram, patch, partition, firehose etc files.
Now I have got another brand new set of the same model.
Can somebody guide me how to generate those files from this working new set?
Many thanks

Hi,
I am on the job. Not getting time to sit with unbricking the old Z17 mini.
Following so many threads and forums and collecting all possible tools.
It will take another two weeks or so as I am not at my base.

herald dead wlan

Hey guys, I don't usually post and ask for help unless I've already done the research, but basically I flashed ttran's new otp7.3 rom (there's 4 of them) and somehow I killed my wlan. I saw on the hermes forum that this can be fixed by hex editing the eeprom on the device(looks intimidating I might add), I'm just wondering if someone else has this problem on a herald, and can you share the steps fixing it.. Thanks.

HTC Hermes GSM JTAG pins

Hi,
after a lot of wicked things had been done with my device, i decided to lift another secret.
Anyway i spent some time to do some investigation and managed to trace the JTAG testpins of the GSM chipset on the hermes!
So it's done!
To be 100% secure, this has again to be verified with some software.
Work is in progress!
At least what is missing right now, is a bullet proof flash tool to rewrite the radio bootloader.
That's why we need your help!
If anyone got information about the JTAG chain of MSM6275 (BSDL file) or similar info, please PM me!
Hopefully this will led to the final step and unbrick nearly any device.
Maybe someday all these "no GSM" devices could be brought to life again...
At least if it's software related issue (e.g. broken Radio bootloader)!!!
EDIT:
Just decided to move all this stuff to the existing JTAG related thread for hermes. Many things about building adaptors and other stuff had been discussed there recently. Aslo noobs may find some answers there! So maybe this avoids double posts.
!!!Moved over here!!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2184868#post2184868
Please have a look and join the discussion!
We urgently need some kind of information about using JTAG on Qualcomm chipsets!
So have fun!
Best regards,
scholbert
Wow, great project.
Good way to revive a otherwise dead device.
Thanks,
EqX

*Urgent*Artemis Update 300 Error with no solution in sight*Urgent*

Hi guys
I am having my friends Artemis in my hand. I never used this phone. But because my friend knew that I am a member of XDA he has challenged me to solve this problem. I have been trying hard to really make it work but somehow or the other its just not working. I tried microsd way, official ROM way, radio upgrade way but its just not working. Its showing update 300 error on all such attempts. Here is the technical information.
ipl 3.07.0001
spl 1.11.0000
I think its CID unlocked but yet its not taking any ROM.
It just gets me greenblack screen other than the bootloader whenver I try to switch it on.
Would love to know why is it happening as soon as possible, or else it will be shame for me inspite of being member of such a smart community.
Looking forward...

Same is the case here, I am not so well versed with this old p series phones. I am still waiting for some solution to this grave problem. I took it to some technician but he said its motherboard problem which is something I am not convinced of.
I tried mtty being in bootloader but nothing happening. No support for the same problem is there anywhere. Looking forward to have someone with same problem experience.
Plz guyz this phone is dead, help us to make it alive. Cheers.
so sad. what we do now?
Actually my friend(my cousin) got this device from a scammer & I being the one who bought on this behalf has to make it right. It was just a few days old & here I am with this dead device.
I will disclose the name of that scammer so everyone at xda should beware from indulging in any transaction from him.
I got this deal from some other India forum.
Regards
Corepda
I had a similar problem before when my orbit locked during a flash, from my knowledge your only way to fix this is by using an sd card, I used the sd card method with my carriers wm5 rom.
Note i had some problems with the SD Card flash method at first until i eventually used an old 256mb card, try a few different ones, borrow a card if yo need to and remember not sdhc and format it fresh. I wish you luck
Since you guys can´t enter bootloader, u may have a brick, .
Have u tried to get in contact with the QMAT guys?
Maybe they know how to fix it.

Unbrick HD2 with JTAG HTC HD2/LEO

Hi Guys,
While searching for solutions to unbrick my HD2 TMOUS i came across this gadget.
It connects to the HD2's PCB directly without soldering. this connection adapter is available at http://www.multi-com.pl/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,7912,menu_mode,categories.html which costs around $16. but the expensive part is the adapter that connects to the PC to flash the phone. this costs $229. http://www.multi-com.pl/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,6503,menu_mode,categories.html
Its all expensive for an individual to buy these gadgets. but there is probably people or service centers who own these.
Do you know of any place where we can get this phones unbricked other than the HTC service centers?
Cool, looks like something that could be very useful.
Cool.. i knew somebody should be having it around here.. keep us updated..

Hello,
I've a bricked HTC HD2 1024LEO from US T-mobile I've unlocked and I've 2.02 ROM but can't anymore change... Can someone help me, I live in Belgium...
I also have bricked HD2 LEO phone and I need the full dump to flash it with jtag since it can not enter to boot mode anymore. and the SPL area is damaged too, now the only solution is to full flash it with JTAG.
I already have the ORT JTAG tool and the phone is connected OK to the JTAG interface but I do not have the full dump for this phone.
will be grat if anyone can send the full dump for it so that it can be revive, I already tried to search for the full dump but it is not there.
Best Regards
SPL is required at least partially to work in order to have JTAG working.

I've used the Riff Box on my T-Mobile HD2. I'm not an electrical engineer so I also used the Multi-Com HD2 USA PCB. This worked perfectly and my device turned on again after three weeks being dead.
Cost me a lot for the postage of both items seperately to New Zealand (about NZ$120). There is a brick fix dll for the HD2 so its just a matter of reading the instructions and forums carefully before attempting the ressurection.
I suppose I would be happy to help anyone living on this side of the world.
yes it worcks
hi guys i did try the jiff jtag and it works , i contacted the guys at multicom and i send my phone there , they fix it and now it works perfect , all that i can say to you is please be more careful
good luck

MTK6261 X-watch M (Y1) touchscreen problems after firmware change.

Hello there. As always, I've got this weird thing for unpopular devices, and mostly breaking them.
This time it's about an Evolio X-Watch M ... or actually it is called Y1 (Yeah, it's another one of the Chinese Rebrands)
Anyway, many of the functions were broken from stock so I tried to install a few different firmwares on it. Most of them were acting weird but after a lot of work I managed to get my hands onto an Y1 firmware. Problem is that after flashing it my touchscreen stopped working.
Now, I guess my best chance would be to get my hand on the files needed to rebuild/build a MTK6261 firmware. So I was wondering if anyone around here could guide me around a bit since it's kinda hard to find stuff for MTK systems. Most of the things I found are mostly outdated.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot the touchscreen problem, or guide me around to the materials needed to cook my own MTK6261 firmware.
If you need more info please tell me and I'll try to provide anything I can.
Below you can find the files I used to install the firmware. It's mostly scatter-file stuff so I don't know it'll be much help to you. I was wondering if I could use those in any way to rebuild the firmware.
Help me!
