this is on topic. were coming up with new names.i help people out alot. in the past week i have had pm's from 12 different people asking for help. so im just trying to have a little fun. nowhere in the xda rules does it say ''you can not have fun no matter what''. if it does, please point it out and i will go back to acting like a zombie.

In theory, this is reserved for the Vogue General Section and not Off-Topic, as this relates to Vogue (shouldn't be under Android Dev section, so I will have to agree on that). Please if you are going to try to moderate a forum, make sure that you don't come out as trying to start a flame war by being disrespectful. If you have something to say about a thread, there is a small icon shaped like a triangle with an exclamation mark on the top right of every post. Clicking on that sends a pm to all mods and admins where you can write and inform them if the thread/post is either out of place, rude, improper (anything that doesn't fall under the site rules). The mods will take any necessary action.

New sys update

Just came in d/l, installed. Had the coolest Android green gears ani. I have ever seen. Haven't had time to check it out. Keep your eyes open for it, do manual check for it.

Yeah the new spinning gears inside the Android during the update were really cool. I kinda freaked out when they froze for about a minute at the end of the process. Still the standard Android boot logo after the update though.
New version: Acer_A500_4.010.13_COM_GEN2 (previously was on 4.010.11)
Does anyone know what this patch does? I happily report it does not break root access, nor did it break my Netflix library fix. Also, my same tun.ko still works.

Can't we have a system for voting positively on posts, Please. That way useful information can be made more easily accessible. Down-voting wouldn't make much sense here since this is not a forum for opinions.

Hey look im sorry but i was in a bad mood and maybe could have a bit more gentle. its just that i have been seeing threads ALL OVER THE PLACE about updates and there are sooo many dumb threads and duplicates that I got pissed off. Im sorry to you, the other guys can kiss my ass because they are behind (probably where they like it lol) because they are doing EXACTLY what I did if you think about it
I think there is a big need for more mods here.

I appreciate your response but it seems as a result of this whole thing I was put on probation because of the original ? post, kind of ticks me off to put it mildly ! No reason as to why. I completely understand when you have a bad day & respond the way you did I've done the same thing.

Hey Johny, prior to this post in my posts, there was name then under that member. Since this thread I had member [ OP] , maybe I'm misinterpreting the meaning. I was really tired & irritable late last night. (grumpy old man syndrome) doesn't really matter today. I've always been curious what the letters designate & just assumed. Thanks for the concern.

It's all good, and the information was nice to know. You can PM one of our forum mods and ask them to move it, but I have already done such.
Our mods are toastcfh, rolfd, and josefcrist.

The grey status bar was never a bug, it was a UI change made on purpose by Samsung, you will have to get used to it or just start making your own themes!

When things are ironed out do you think it will be quick to switch between horizon / Android? I'm wondering if I can just install everything I need to a SD card and switch back and forth like I do other switch firmwares.

It's L1 unfortunately so that means Netflix and other drm content is 480p only
