AT&T Unlocked SM-G950U still on August update - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

So I purchased my S8 from At&t and later got it unlocked by paying the whole amount off. My phone is still stuck in August update and the model number is listed as SM-G950U. I have been told to flash the official firmware with Odin to get the latest update. Which one should I flash? I also don't understand the difference between SM-G950U and SM-G950U1. I only see AT&T firmware on SM-G950U1, should I use that one?
Also, for flashing firmware update on Odin. Do I have to flash all the firmware before the latest one or do I just flash the latest one?

Latest canadian firmware

Hi there,
I have rooted my phone and installed the US firmware in august. What is the latest Canadian firmware that works with videotron? I would like to go back to the latest canadian firmware so I might be able to get OTA....or is there a way to have OTA using a US firmware in Canada? Thank you very much.
I could not say. I'm also a Canadian with the US firmware (provider is Telus) but had not got to install the latest firmware update yet.

Galaxy s7 edge stock firmware from sammobile - a few questions.

Hi,
I bought my S7 edge form Portugal, the phone is factory unlocked.
Now I'm back in my country and I thought I should download from sammobile the official firmware of my carrier provider or the global version.
I'm not sure if I'll still receive OTA updates if I flash the firmware with ODIN, and if that's the case, please tell me if there's any other methods to flash the baseband without causing updates issues in the future.
I want to update the fw because Volte doesn't work.
Another question, I don't have a PC, so I was wandering if I can install Odin on Mac or in VmWare?

How to Flash G892A to most current Firmware?

The S8 G950U1 is exact same hardware as S8 active G892U. Yet recent ATT firmware ending in CRF5 doesn't flash in modded Odin. I can't understand why. I can only get an older ATT Oreo FW to flash.

Help ODIN flash US model to newest FW

Hi everyone,
my wife had an S8 + EXYNOS which had its motherboard dead, it was on android 9.0. A phone repair center replaced the motherboard but they had only SNAPDRAGON and everything works fine.
The thing is, that earlier the model number was SM-G955F and now it is SM-G955U and it says now Verizon but it is on android 7.0 and says that there is no update. I want to download the latest 9.0 firmware but I am now confused.
If I search on sammobile for G955U I get only branded firmwares. I see that the unbranded are 955U1.
Now my question is, because I never flashed US models only Europe, should I just flash the latest Verzion FW or can I flash the latest U1?
This is the latest Verizon, I do not want to soft-brick now the phone....

If I can use the unlocked firmware, could you please tell me which exactly it is so I do not make a mistake?
EDIT: Followed this easy flash tutorial with modded ODIN and flashed directly U1 unbranded XAA FW which works like a charm
