[Tutorial][LP][Z2/Z3][Root][Recovery][SuperSu]Root+Recovery For Clean Installed FTF

Clean install of a ftf is better than Flashing a Pre-Rooted zip. I flashed a Lp Pre-Rooted zip and face some problem... Specially battery drainage issue. So I installed the clean LP ftf. And rooted it afterwards... My battery is a beast now
Requirements
1: King Root
2: XZDualRecovery 2.8.15-RELEASE.installer.zip http://nut.xperia-files.com/
3: BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip
(SuperSU-v2.46 will give you binary update error) (place this zip in your internal memory/Sdcard
Steps
1: Flash your latest ftf of LP 5.0.2 via flashtool to start a clean install. IF You are already on LP, ignore step 1.
2: Install King Root Apk and Run it. Click on root. Wait until it says 100%. It should be 100%. U rooted your mobile successfully. Don't restart your mobile.
3: Place XZDualRecovery 2.8.15intsaller.zip in any folder of your PC and extract it.
4: Connect your mobile to your computer with Debugging mode enabled.
5: Open XZDualRecovery folder and Click on Install.bat. A command window will be opend. Choose/Type 2 (root with SuperUser) and pres enter. Follow the instructions... Done... XZDualRecovery is installed
6: Boot in to recovery and Install BETA-SuperSU-v2.49.zip. Restart your mobile... You have a working SuperSu without any binary update problem.
7: Delete KingUser App Manualy by Going into /system/app/kinguser.apk. Or u can delete it by some system app remover application. It is necessary to delete King User App because It may be cause conflict with SuperSu.
All Done.....

Rooted D6653 Stock 5.1.1 successfully. (long method)

:silly: (I had a TA backup of 5.0.2 stock rom before proceeding, and supersu 2.49 beta.zip).
followed steps like:
1. I updated My Z3 to 5.1.1
2. then unlocked my bootloader
3. flashed cm12.1 boot.img
4. booted into cwm recovery using cm12.1 boot.img
5. flashed supersu 2.49 beta.zip
6. reflashed the 5.1.1 kernel back using stock 5.1.1 ftf and flashtool ( only kernel dont reflash system!!!!!!!!! )
7. successfully booted into rooted stock rom.
FROM HERE BOOTLOADER LOCK WITH TA PARTITION BEGINS
8. run backup TA and restore previous TA Backup of 5.0.2 and reboot the phone( usb debugging must be enabled).
9. Now the phone is a locked bootloader with TA installed of 5.0.2 (partially compatible kernel but locked bootloader with TA and DRM keys)
10. reflash the 5.1.1 kernel back using stock 5.1.1 ftf and flashtool. ( only kernel dont reflash system!!!!!!!!! )
11. yipee.. you got a rooted 5.1.1 stock rom with locked bootloader.
You then can install XZ Dual recovery and can reflash supersu beta 2.49.zip if you face problem in mounting system R/w.
Finally Done. :laugh::laugh:
If you didnt had TA backup and are on locked bootloader then you can revert back to 5.0.2 , root it using kingroot, backup TA and then follow steps from post.

Brother it is critical method for advanced users. you should wait till exploits arrives for the device. or else you can go for pre rooted firmwares.

To Root .291 Firmware

I unlocked my bootloader and can't create a TA backup is it necessary for it to work? I can do every other step. I actually was able to install Magisk but the safetynet check fails
Backup TA is not mandatory.
Is it still relevant now?
Report when used with D5803
Thanks for the instructions!
I'd like to add some comments that hopefully might help others. I tried to follow the described procedure with a Sony Xperia Z3 compact D5803. The numbers refer to the steps given above:
1.
- some USB cables don't work
- my USB3-port did not work correctly, USB2 did
3.
- my D5803 had no bootloader menu. So when you expect the colourful textmode menu on white background, you may be disappointed. However, recovery can still be accessed
- to enter recover, I had to FIRST switch on, THEN pressed vol-down to enter. Simultaneous pressing did not work
- reboot into recovery from Windroid (software reboot) usually failed
- a bootloop can be resolved with Emma (Sony Software) from flashmode (power off, press up, insert USB)
4.
- the ROM eXistenZ Marshmallow [5.6.5 FINAL] did not work on my phone. I got "system UI terminated" over and over again, no way to enter Android at a useful point, not even when starting in protected (?) mode
- However, the entire process also works with stock ROM, so you can skip steps 5 and 6
7.
- I skipped this step, as TWRP 3.2.3 did not work on my D5803
8.
- used TA_POC with EliteKernelZ3c-v3.4.33.zip and ta.img from step 2, the *.imp form TWRP 3.1.0 as recovery, answered "yes" when asked to disable ROC
9.
- I used Magisk 20.3. The SafetyNet check passed. Installed my banking app (Commerzbank Phototan 8.1.0), set it in Root hide, but it terminated without further messages. I had to go back to 6.0.3 (which probably even works on rooted devices)
- I install Xposed as a Magisk module. When activated, the SafetyNet fails. It can be reversed when deactivating the module.

shield 2017 root / su

Model: P2897 / T210 / Darcy (2017)
Android Version: 9
Shield Version: 8.2.3
What i did so far, unlocked bootloader, boot into twrp (twrp-3.5.2_9-0-foster.img) then sideloaded supersu. But after reboot still no root, su command also not working... Whats the easiest way to get root and su? The official developer images have no su included (" but note that the su utility is NOT included)")

I would just try magisk, but I haven't rooted my Shield.
Method 1
Install the magisk.apk
Copy the boot.img to the shield
Use Magisk to modify the Boot.img
Copy the patched boot.img to PC
Flash the Patched boot.img with fastboot
Reboot
Method 2
Download Magisk.apk
Change the file extension to magisk.zip (Yes that correct it's a zip and apk in one)
Install with Twrp
Reboot
Again, both methods should work, but have not been tested by me.
Edit;
The first method will remove TWRP, but you may not need it after you have root.
The first method is more likely to work.
Sometimes 2nd method fails because both TWRP and Magisk modify the boot partition.
