my OP2 Wont succesfully turn on, and I am all out of ideas. - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys and gals i have a problem with my OP2. After i went on a walk in lets say 0 degrees celsius weather, it wont turn on again. As soon as I put in a power cable, it will try by itself and turn itself back on, but it fails because it shuts down again after a few seconds and it will go into a loop of trying to turn itself on and then fail. I have tried holding both power+volume button in, but it wont stay turned on long enough, for it to execute any of the commands in there. I am at my technical limits, and i hope that any of you out there, have had a similar problem or maybe a solution to my problem.

This is probably due to a faulty battery. Because even in case of a soft brick the device stays up for fastboot commands to work.
Maybe try the oneplus recovery software which formats everything and flashes the original firmware. Its in the general section of this forum.

[Q] LG G2 Won't turn on, cannot get to download mode

My AT&T LG G2 (plain D800) is rooted, and has Xposed installed on it (I'm not sure if this caused the issue or not), but here's what I'm having problems with:
I was playing a game, when all of a sudden the phone froze (no biggie, it's done it before, I've held the power button to force restart it, and it works), but the phone shut off on it's own, and would/will not turn back on.
Tge LG boot logo comes up intermittently when I hold power and volume up, but only sometimes. The phone has only twice now gotten to the AT&T logo, but freezes immediately and shuts down. I've tried literally every combination of holding buttons, for up to 70 seconds at a time, both on the charger, off the charger, and while plugging into the charger.
I cannot get to download mode, I cannot get to TWRP, and can obviously not boot into the phone. I had made no changes in weeks prior to this happening, so I can't see why or how something with my phone being rooted would cause the problem.
I've left the phone charged overnight before performing the actions (the phone won't even show battery percentage), so I don't think it's a dead battery issue. Everything I've read so far seems to say that the battery chip has died and needs to be replaced. Somehow I don't think it's the problem.
I'm fully willing to completely wipe the rom, and everything on it, as long as I can get the phone working again. However I cannot boot into download mode to use ADB or anything.
Is my phone completely bricked? Or is there a chance that the battery chip really is fried? Please help!
Update!
I left the phone charging some more, and decided to try volume up and power (while plugged in). The phone actually went into download mode for about 5 seconds before shutting off again. I tried doing the same steps, but nothing will come up again. It appears to be an issue with the battery on the device. Does anyone else think otherwise? Or will I have to send it in for a new battery? (The phone is less than a year old so I don't want to void the warranty anymore than rooting, which they wouldn't be able to tell since it won't turn on anyways).
Update Again:
I can get the phone to show the LG logo/download mode on a fairly consistent basis, sometimes showing a static screen (colored noise, not monotone), sometimes a blue screen, but it will shut off after 5-6 seconds every time.
Hey, I do not want to announce bad but by your description it seems that did you mother board, go to the lab to make sure, I had something similar and I replaced the motherboard and my phone came on time, check if the device is still under warranty has a good chance to replace you under warranty, good luck.

[Q] S4 shuts off after splash, any ideas?

My S4 has finally kicked the bucket. It turns on long enough to display the "Samsung" splash screen with the padlock icon that says "Custom." After about two seconds it instantly shuts off, and can't be turned back on.
Pull the battery, the phone automatically turns on, shuts off again, rinse and repeat.
At this point I just want to salvage my pictures and music from the phone; is there any way I can mount the internal SD in the state that it's in? I'm sure this power issue is hardware-based; I can't get into recovery or download mode before it shuts off on me.
I was having this same problem recently as well. It happened on two separate occasions with about a week in between. The first time it came back after a few battery pulls and attempts to boot to recovery as well as download mode. The second time I fiddled with it for about an hour with numerous battery pulls and attempts to boot to recovery and download mode. I even swapped batteries to no avail. I don't know why exactly it finally decided to boot, but I haven't had an issue with it since. Maybe keep trying and hope for the best?
Can you boot and stay into recovery or download mode?
If not, then it very well might be a button issue. Have the phone checked out or you can do it yourself with a voltmeter if you have the knowledge and tech. Otherwise take it to a professional. I paid around 15$ to a button replaced. Which kinda seems a lot, considering a set of 4 buttons costs about 5$ and then you can do it yourself since it doesn't appear to be that hard, especially if you've done soldering before.

OPT Bootloop

I've looked online, especially on here, for solutions to my problem but they all seem to assume that I can access fastboot. Here is my specific problem:
I was using my phone and suddenly the screen went black. It rebooted once into the OS but immediately restarted and has been stuck in bootloop for 4.5hrs thus far. I have tried to wipe cache, enter fastboot, power down the phone but nothing worked and it kept looping. Even when I powered off. It's like the power button signal is malfunctioning because it doesn't always reboot at the same exact point in the boot cycle.
My phone is stock, no custom anything, and is encrypted. My only thought right now is to let the battery drain fully and try to boot again after that. I have not tried to enter fastboot while connected to a PC, but I have tried to do it just on the phone.
I have not been home yet so I do not have access to a PC I can actually do things with at the moment. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: I am home now. Going on 6hrs of looping and nothing has changed.
EDIT 2: The battery was drained. It starts to charge but instantly tries to enter the boot loop again so the battery never gets enough charge to do anything; thus, I can do nothing to save the phone, I don't think.
If its some malfunction with power button, try to abuse the button gently. I used to do that with my Nexus 5 when its power button gets stuck inside causing bootloops.

The button itself is fine, it works as it should and is not pressed down; however, there might be some sort of internal problem causing the phone to think that it's being pressed.

Poco m3 turned off during an update

I am sorry if this is a dumb thread I am just worried. I was watching my Poco M3 update up to 60%(my battery was on 68% before starting the update) then I started to watch TV and didn't pay much attention to the phone. When I looked at it it was off and i thought that maybe it is just in the process of rebooting or its already on the lock screen .Because I thought it may still be rebooting I just placed my finger on the fingerprint reader because I didn't want to risk turning it of by pressing the power button. My phone didn't respond at all. I haven't tried to hold the power button because I'm worried that its still in the process of updating. What should I do ?
Never mind. I had to hold the power button for 10 seconds and it turned on. I am sorry for wasting your time. I was so worried since it was a new phone and I couldn't afford a new one. I am sorry again.
This post was usefull, it happened to me too. The phone wouldn't even show an image when connected to a charger. I waited for a while, entered Fastboot succesfully and then, after the second (on the first one remained stuck on the MIUI screen) 10s power button push, it succesfully booted
It happened also to me during update to 12.0.8.0, but I used Power and Vol+ and then Reboot to System.
It was a moment of anxiety.
It happened to me to. It is a branch new phone and I got so worried that I might just have bricked it. Fk Xaomi.
just happended with me right its on MIUI Screen hope its get on
Update: Just Booted In Fastboot Its on Screen now
Same thing just happened to me too. My phone is not turning on at all. I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds as discussed here, tried fast booting, tried connecting charger and starting. Nothing is working. Going into panic mode.
**UPDATE***
After leaving the phone alone for 24 hours in which time it was completely unresponsive to anything I tried, I connected the charger and just pressed power button and it decided to just start normally. POCO needs to address this situation.
**UPDATE***
Phone is not responding again after restrating. I give up on this phone.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ not turning on

Hello everyone.
My galaxy s10 plus isn't turning back on all the time.
WHta i mean to say is that once the phone turns on, it works perfectly fine. But once it is turned off, it does not turn back on. Previously once a while it used to turn on after sometime. Now may be once a day it turns back on and that too when power button + volume down are pressed together.
I somehow managed to flash the device through odin to the latest firmware but still the problem persists.
Any combination of keys doesn't turn on the device now.
May be if i'm lucky, it turns on by power down+volum down but it takes me into recovery mode and when restarted from there, phone doesn't turn back on.
Nothing happens if i try to charge it. It doesn't charge. It takes in power but then stops and this repeats forever (checked via the device which shows the current drawn).
Any clue what's goin on with the device?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Hardware damage requires repair or replacement of a component depending on the economic calculus. No tips will help, as someone familiar with the device must open it and inspect it.

So it could be a hardware issue with the device?
