download last firmware from sammobile
turn off your phone
hold (vol dwn +home+power) then vol up
flash with odin
you can search over internet how to flash firmware with odin.
hope it's work.

The exact same thing
I remember, it started happening after an official update.
P.S. Will the worth of my phone fall if i flash the previous firmware? Because, flashing voids the warranty right?

It happened with my device and have to disable AOD

[Q] Galaxy S4 not turning on anymore

I've been running a prerooted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2250824) rom since july last year but I wasn't receiving OTA updates so my Galaxy S4 I9505 was still stuck at Android 4.2.2.
I tried to unroot and remove with the SuperSU app but I still didn't get any updates through OTA or Kies.
Then I tried to reflash it with the same rom I installed last year which failed. So I decided to grab latest 4.4.2 rom from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=27642 and flashed it with Odin which also failed.
Right now my phone is off and its not turning on anymore, how bad did I screw it up? Is there any way to get it working again?
Thanks!
Do you have a gt-i9505 black edition phone? If you dont have it, your firmware is this ONE
If you can still get into download mode, then you did not mess up.
So can you still enter download mode?

It's not turning on at all when I press the power button or when I use volume down + home + power button combination.

Can you go download mode?
If you can't get in on and you are sure that your battery is ok, then you messed up really bad. The screen just stays black?
I think it's because you flashed a firmware that is not for your phone. You probably have bricked it and there is no way to recover it.

Galaxy s5 at&t boot stuck

Ive tried to flash android lolipop to my phone since at&t wont give updates ota so i use safe strap from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=7145
and i forgot to change to another save slot or whatever you call it so i flash it over my main rom and it failed so i tried to do a reset by doing power on, vol up, and home button and then it boots up until i see the samsung logo then it stops and goes black the led indicator is blue. after a while i tried using oden and flash the firmware from sammobile.com by running oden and connecting to pc then do vol down, home button, and power but still no luck ive been looking for fixes and went to repair shop and they said its the motherboard but i dont think it the mother board since it can boot up the android system recovory

S5 G900F - Infinite Bootloop, can't access bootloader, flashed with stock roms.. HELP

Hi,
**Long Story**
I'm new here - I refrained from posting as I know a repeat post can p*** people off but I can't find my problem or fix it.
My own Sony was stolen a week ago - My brother in law kindly gave me his old S5 as a back up phone.
He has never had any problems with it EVER. I did a factory reset (from the settings menu) to clear his data and straight away I was in a boot loop (Handset vibrates, Samsung logo displays, blue LED, vibrates, handset switches off.. over and over again) the only way to stop this is to remove the battery. I cannot enter recovery mode but I CAN enter download mode. According to the settings the handset was running the latest version of lollipop.
I took the phone home anyway, thinking I could fix it - leaving the battery out in my pocket.
When I got home, I put the battery in and the phone turned on, unfortunately I forgot to put the sim card in - so I removed the battery, put in the sim card and... Boot Loop!
At this point I was really frustrated so I left the battery out and went to sleep. I woke up in the morning, put the battery in and it worked fine, all day, then all of a sudden the phone switched itself off and now I'm back in a boot loop and this time it isn't wanting to work again.
I have:
- Flashed with stock roms using Odin (5.0 & 4.4.2) - Yes, I used the correct firmware for my handset.
- Flashed with Kies to the latest firmware
- In desperation, tried the "Bash your power button against a hard, flat surface" trick
- Shouted at the handset
None of these have worked and every post I have found says to put the phone in recovery mode, I CANT. When I try, the blue "Recovery Booting" text is displayed, but just restarts anyway...
Weirdly and at random times, twice, the phone has powered on while plugged into my laptop, but the screen is blank, I get message sounds and the soft keys below the screen light up, but the screen is blank.
Any body have any idea?!?!! I'm vaguely techy, however not with this kind of thing. Any help would be much appreciated. What confuses me is there was no problem before I did the factory reset.

Service Provider - o2 UK
Stock from sanmmob
Phone is not unlocked
I did my best to try & get the firmware for my particular service provider but sammob and a few of the other sites use those awful restricted speed file sharing sites.

Try flashing the PIT file along with the stock ROM in ODIN
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2721101&d=1399024091
Extract to .pit - add to PIT section in ODIN, add ROM to AP or PDA section, flash them both at the same time

Try flashing just the ROM again, and then try booting into recovery, and factory reset
Or try flashing TWRP 2.8.7.0 with ODIN, and then boot into recovery and factory reset
Use this guide (Don't worry about the SuperSU part if you don't need root, and ignore the reactivation part as you can't boot the phone yet - start at No.3)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64961009&postcount=2
Are you flashing the latest Lollipop ROM too?

Pull the battery after flash, do not allow the phone to reboot first etc?
Because that error is usually associated with you allowing the phone to reboot Automatically after flashing TWRP

This is so confusing, is the Stock firmware that you've linked to in Mega the same as the one I have downloaded?
Will retry with TWRP again. BRB

Definitely didt let it reboot & pulled the battery. Tried it twice to make sure.
I am downloading the Stock firmware that you have linked and will try that, is there any reason why it started to reboot constantly after I factory reset? It can't be hardware because there was never a HW problem before I reset it. I don't suppose you want to pop down from Durham and fix it?! lol

To London? wanna pay the plane fare? lol
If you got that firmware from Sammobile, the one I linked you to is the same one, that's where I got it from, you could try some different droid versions, try a KitKat ROM too
Not sure why it would boot loop after you factory reset it, if reactivation lock was left on, you should still have managed to get to the welcome screen, but then be locked out of the phone until you entered his samsung account login
Sounds like something bugged out during the reset, and didn't reset properly, or corrupted one of the partitions, which the PIT file should have fixed
Stock recovery is cr4p though, I've ended up with a bootloop just clearing caches from it before, and had to flash TWRP to clear them properly, then flash stock on top again just to get it to boot

OK - Sorry for the delay but unfortunately I had to do stuff - I would have happily sat and tried to fix it all day.
So, I did spend some time on it earlier and a few things happened.
I reinstalled different firmwares, and also tried TWRP 2.8.7.0 a few times with different versions of Odin but nothing would work.
I reinstalled the firmware BOJ1, nothing
Tried PIT again, nothing
Then, after trying PIT I got the Firmware error and connected to Kies... It worked, but now I just have a blank screen (another seemingly common issue with these paperweights) - Unsure what to do now, the phone is on, i can call it, find it with device manager but the screen is just blank. FML.

OK, so they phone is working, there's just no display...
OK, try resetting the phone remotely from here first
https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
If it's not connected to the network - try this
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ory-reset-galaxy-s5-computer.html#post4365754
If that still fails, try flashing a stock KitKat ROM from Sammobile, see if downgrading the OS is a big enough change for it to overwrite whatever is causing the problem
Wondering if TWRP has flashed, but the no screen thing is stopping you from knowing one way or another - if we could get into TWRP, we'd have a lot more options, including custom ROMs

Thanks,
I'll wait for that to download and try.
So - I used accessibility mode to get into settings and do a factory reset... It was difficult, I even thought that the Dark Screen setting might have mysteriously have been turned on but nope.
Rebooted and got the Bootloader screen with the Samsung logo and Recovery Booting text, after a few minutes the screen went blank and the phone vibrated and then nothing!!! :crying::crying::crying:
I have just put it into download mode (I only know this because the many hours I've spent doing this I noticed that the battery and device goes cool when its in download mode) and will try the KitKat flash once its downloaded - Thank you for that btw.
Its so strange - it cant be an issue with the actual screen because it *sometimes* displays the logo.. What can it be?? Its also odd that from when I originally reset it, it could'nt boot into recovery. I'm worried that everything I have done has screwed it up more? Can the Recovery/Bootloader be "Broken"? Its so confusing, I hate tech that doesn't behave.

Does sound like a possible hardware problem, but unlikely or a huge coincidence that it all started after resetting, so I'd be more inclined to think otherwise
Just remembered about this unbrick image / tutorial

Might be worth giving that a shot

You don't need busybox, that's for creating your own debrick image, the tutorial stops here:
Flash this Debrick file to your 16GB Micro SD card with Win32DiskImager
*Insert your Micro SD card into your computer (backup any information you may have on it we are going to ERASE, FORMAT it to ex FAT
*Open win32DiskImager
*Navigate to the location where you downloaded the correct Debrick file
*Select your Debrick file by double clicking on it
*In the upper right corner of Win32DiskImager you should make sure that the drive letter assigned to your sd card is selected.
***Which ever drive that is listed will be erased, formatted
*Click write in the bottom right hand side
put the Debrick SD card in the Phone, Pull and Replace the Battery
Plug phone in usb and boot into download mode
yout phone should boot into download mode then flash stock firmware via odin
Download link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByA...ew?usp=sharing
You're saying you can't see anything on screen in download mode, just guessing it's there because it cools down - but that could also mean it's not in any mode
With this method, you might get a display to use, then you can flash normally with ODIN with download mode visible on screen

NOTE 4 Won't Boot Up Neither Recovery Working

hello i flashed the racerom and when i did restart my device now my device outputs audio or boot animation but nothing on display, recovery is not working either . But ODIn download mode works fine.
1> I Flashed Stock Firmware Too but that Doesn't Work Either
2> Mobile Vibrates When i Turn It On
3> Download Mode Works Fine
4> Recovery mode is again blank
Any solution ?
Hi, please share details of the rim you flashed and the one you were running before flashing the custom rom and finally what original rom did you flash with odin after which it still doesn't boot up.
As of now I could say many things that could be wrong but it won't be of help, however I can share some basics that I know without the other info..
1. You can try to install a custom recovery through odin and then flash the kernel and boot loader for the same version as you flashed through odin by flashing either a flashable zip or img file from twrp.
It could be that you upgraded or downgraded rims and the bootloader is not compatible with the rom you installed. If you had a lollipop bases rom and tried to flash a mm based one without bootloader it will not boot the os.
You could try flashing a different kernel there are many here both permissive and otherwise.
You could try to factory reset and see if it boots or press volume down and power and keep holding volume down to see if it boots into safe mode or not. It would be better though to know what version rom you were on and whether you chose the same when flashing after unsuccessful flashing of custom to. Most likely it could be a kernel or bootloader issue but that's only a guess based on similar scenarios but nothing for sure.

At this point you have to wait long time. Hope you have waited enough.
Since its going to download mode, can you flash the recovery?

Sounds like your screen is broke. I'm no expert on this matter but if you tried good batteries and you report you hear it booting up but no display. I hate to say but that's what it seems like.
Do you have or have access to an MHL cable? I'd say try to use one to mirror your screen on TV. If it displays on TV but not device, then that confirms the lcd backlight isn't working.
Either that or something so wrong with software that display isn't working.
Did you get odin to Flash stock firmware?
Oh wait, if you boot into download mode and you don't have screen, then something is broke

it all started when i flashed a custom rom for note 4 so i guess it won't be screen, my stupid indian service center tells me that it needs motherboard replacement omg they so dumb
When my phone is not booting (wake lock app user, partial mode...must have to keep my phone awake) i just wait 30 minutes or more without battery, plugin the battery back in and it's starting again and all works well.

S8 stuck at Samsung logo, no boot, no recovery, only download mode !!!

Hello guys,
I guess I won't be the only one having this issue. My phone went dead suddenly, and doesn't boot. It only give a circle with a lightning bolt but not charging, is it a battery issue ?
At the same time, I can only go to download mode, no recovery, and I can flash via Odin, with success, but it doesn't boot up still.
This is driving me crazy and I am not sure whether it's a hardware or software issue !!!
Anyone having any thoughts on this ?
Thank you.
Turn your phone off. Put it on the charger. Leave it alone for at least 1/3 of the day. I've been using Android for a long time. This usually happens to my Androids, at least once in their lifetime. It should be good to go afterwards.
PS: Make sure your charger works and don't touch the phone. Let it get a good 8hr charge w/o touching a button.
Let me know if this works for you.

HEY brother.
my case is a bit weird
i bought my s8 running nougat used it for 2 days and it was all good , so i received the Oreo update and updated it using the over the air when I received connected to wifi.
my phone started to reboot randomly even for 30 times per day , i tried several things like wiping cashe and the only solution that reduced the problem was uninstalling my installed apps. basically normal apps like facebook , whatsapp , spotify ,and even stock apps like calculator and music player.
today as usual I woke up picked up my phone and it started rebooting so i uninstalled some apps but it kept rebooting.
sometimes it reboots and get stuck at GALAXAY s8 boot screen [ not samsung flickering screen ] and all i had to do to overcome the boot loop is pressing and holding volume down and power button.
but one time it got stuck and boot looped once and for all. I tried to press volume down and power button to make it reboot again and overcome the bootloop but it rebooted and got stuck at the bootloop.
I tried to access recovery but i couldn't access it.
I can access download mode only.
my phone switches on itself when it is plugged in to charge , i can't turn it off completely to charge it while off.
I reflashed stock firmware and it succeeded using odin but the bootloop is still there.
please help me with my problem SIR.
and thank you really a tons.
sincerely,
Zack.
Did anyone manage to solve this? My phone has started exhibiting the same behavior.
Unable to power on the phone unless it's plugged into the charger, but if plugged in just keep boot looping to the Samsung logo.
I've tried re flashing the latest stock firmware, but this hasn't made any difference.
sounds like a typical case of the battery beginning to fail
Flash twrp and a custom rom... Only solution but go to YouTube and check how to flash twrp s8 oreo? Must watch
Flash back to stock, leave the phone charged until 100% then use the stock recovery or flash twrp and wipe cache and dalvik
Thanks all for the suggestions.
I've tried to flash twrp but I get the error "Custom Binary(RECOVERY) Blocked by FRP Lock".
I've flashed the stock firmware multiple times successfully via Odin v3.1.13.1 (G950FXXU2CRF7) but this doesn't make any difference.
I still can't boot up the phone. The only thing I can do on the phone is have it plugged in and go into download mode.
I can't boot into recovery.
If I leave it plugged in it will power on, vibrate, boot loop to the Samsung logo all day. (It does not show the charging circle)
Could this be a worse case scenario and be a hardware issue? Don't want to give up hope yet, since I can still flash a firmware with Odin.

It varies depending on what firmware I try to flash it acts differently. All firmwares I try to flash will take a while in "flash analysis" and then to "setup connection" it takes so much time. After wait some time it fails.
I can send you some pictures if needed. When I get home I will.try again and send you the error.
This is what one error looked like trying to flash G955USQK2_Stock_recovery_BoxWares.tar.md5
This is the error.
<10:0/0/004> Odin engine v (ID:3.1207...
<10:0/0/004> File Analysis
<10:0/0/004> Setup Connection
<OSM> All threads completed (succeed 0/failed 1)
Also excuse for PM you, I thought you were going through the same thing but realized this morning during work that it was my post you replied to.
Any Solution??

its Odin mode, not mood LoL
get a fresh download of the firmware youre trying to flash and flash it instead. Get the Frija tool as it downloads the firmware waaaaaay faster than directly from www.sammobile.com/firmwares
