Wifi disconnect when it goes Standby

Hi,
I have a QTek 9100 and I activate Wifi and log in to Live Messenger everything works OK, but if the phone goes standby the wifi disconnect and it log off my Live Messenger. How can I fix it?
I have WM6.1 Pro.
Regards,
Sergio
P.S.: Sorry for my bad english.
despite the fact that my god dammned wifi is not able to establish a stable connection, it's normal, not a fault. GPRS stays connected, Wifi disconnects when switching to "stand by"
Is it possible to make it always connected even in standby mode?
Well the only "fix" is that you tweak the power settings in order to prevent the automatic turn off of your device. However the energy consuption for maintainning the wifi on will make a full battery to be drain in 3~2.5hrs.
So i guess its not a good idea to have the wifi on.

Thanks for your information! Sometimes I need to have MSN logged in for about 1hour, I think is not so bad for the battery life time
How Can I tweak? Can you help me?

Has anybody got a problem with battery?

Sorry about the question, it might be asking before
I have problem with the battery it can use only about 20 hours without use anything just data enable.
In battery use it appears Cell standby and phone idle drain battery up to 40% either, is it normally or my battery defected ?

That's about the same as I get on official O2 2.1 build. See my post discussing a couple of processes that seem to use more CPU than they ought. This does impact the battery quite significantly. As far as I know, SystemPanel is the only app that offers the monitoring functionality to enable us to check CPU usage.

Mine running official Froyo but battery still suck !
Sometime I've fully charged before go to bed and when i wake up it drain my battery 35% for 7 hours while I'm sleeping
Same here - around 40% down during the night...
The meter is kind of strange - it goes really easy down to around 40% and then slows down - yesterday i played around 1 hour with only 14% left...

This is exactly what SystemPanel will tell you. The lite version is free but won't give you the monitoring info. I highly recommend you get the full version and you'll be able to quickly determine what's consuming your resources.
I accidentally bought 2 spares if someone needs one cheap.

My batt was losing 17% an hour on IDLE on Steve's v1.4.6 !!! I dropped back down to the good ole default...now I only lose 2% an hour on idle.
...Also ordered a Mugen battery!!
I didn't used the dell streak before , but im using Samsung GT-I5503
I'm used to have the same problem and , the battery drained ridiculously and i dont even get a complete 12hours idle
then i figured out that there is an option in the (( Settings --> Wireless & Networks --> Mobile Networks )) called (( Enable Always-on mobile Data )) which is enabled and faded which I can't change it, and yesterday I removed my SIM card from the phone then i inserted another SIM card from another provider , I went to the same option and i found it enabled but not faded , so i removed the tick mark from it , put back my main SIM Card , and now the battery is running as expected which is more than 40 Hrs + per charge with normal use , and before I used to charge it twice a day with normal Wi-Fi use
Just to remind you , I'm using a Samsung Galaxy 5 GT-I5503 - Android 2.1

... so you basically disabled your mobile data, and can no longer access the internet unless on wifi? Well, I suppose that is one way to increase battery life!

I don't have a data plan neither enabled Data connection before on my mobile , and i also deleted the access points from the phone just in-case it didn't use the mobile data connection because my providers are bastards and charge around 3 cents per KB
Anyway , what I'm trying to say is if the option (( Enable Always-on mobile Data )) enabled , it will try to use the connection device inside the phone as long as I'm not connected to a Wi-Fi , which will drain the battery more than normal , but when i had it disabled the battery life increased more than 5 hours

[Q] Why sometimes my battery drains A LOT in stand by?

Hi everyone, first sorry if my english is not perfect, i'm from Chile and this is not my native language. My problem is that I have, SOMETIMES a strange battery drain in my Note 3 N9005 with KitKat 4.4.2 when is in Stand By, i mean without any use.
I will put 2 screenshots which can explain this clearly. In these 2 Screenshots the device was charged at 100%, turned on, disconnected and left on Stand By without any use and all turned off.
When Stand By is ok / normal, I get this, which is really nice:
i.imgur.com/vduTKww.png
but when battery decides to drain (i don't know why) i get this:
i.imgur.com/tKDqqRd.png
Does someone knows what is happening?
Why sometimes I get very low battery consumption in stand by and sometimes not?
The only strange thing that I can see is the Mobile Network Signal, why is in different colors?...signal problem could be the problem? but...why? what can I do? I have my Note 3 for just 3 weeks ago...
I already tried doing a factory reset and wipe cache after the kitkat update...even I have all special function (like motion controls) disabled for better battery life.
I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.

U have a wakelock mate. Must be apps u installed run in background / keep on wake up to send/rcvd data.
If u r rooted u can flash BBS to find out.
Ps: yes mobile network affect battery a lot. When u r in 4g, it is the most less consumption. 3g not so bad. But 2g it sucks all the way.

Sometimes, fully charged phone may have juice left between 95-100%.
When phone is being charged, the phone stops charging when it reaches 100%. It is to avoid overcharging. Charging is paused until battery level decreases to 95%, then charging starts up again. If you happen to unplug the charger during the pause, you get a phone with not exactly 100% battery, but a few percent less.
It is so on all modern smartphones and completely normal. Even if you see 100% when unplugging, the battery level is reset shortly after.
Mine does this on occassion, out of the blue.
Just starts refusing to go into deep sleep for no apparent reason, without any random apps starting a wakelock.
Only way to solve it is a reboot.

isnt it the other way round? 2g uses least battery, 3g more, and 4g the most?

Correct. 4G uses a high frequency to allow for the massive data capacity. As a result, it's quite weak. 2G runs on a lower frequency as a much more powerful signal and thus the phone has to work less hard to maintain the signal. It does render data usage nearly impossible as a result.
2G is much more battery efficient. Turning your phone to GSM only can save you over two days of battery.
Although if your signal is rubbish (1 bar) it really doesn't matter as it's all going to drain your battery at insane levels.

Those who still experience the mobile data bug

Go to the Playstore and find and app called LTE Discovery.
I have disabled the 'mobile data always active' in developer options settings and today I get the bug when I'm away from my home wifi. I fired up the app and in just a few seconds I got back my LTE data connection.
Please try it and see if it fix yours.
Do you mean mean the mobile standby drain ?
Im starting to think this can also have something to do with my broken sdcard slot and a pin that's bend inside. Not sure, but I have this issue since one of the sdcard pins is broken. I can still reach around 6 hours sot, but i will never reach the 8 hours again like I could reach before.

no it's not about standby drain. a few has reported losing mobile data connection either in a sudden or when the phone went out of wifi range which supposedly mobile data should automatically takes over. I've experienced it on last year's aosp and aosp roms, a restart was the only solution. with this app I don't need to restart the phone, it completely disconnects and reset the connection and reconnects back, doing something even airplane mode couldn't do.
