Galaxy s8 us Cellular sm-g950U would work in LTE on at&t? T mobile? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Hi everyone!
I am planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy s8 from us Celular model number sm-g950U but even if I've read that all models us models are the same, I'm not sure if this phone (which is factory unlocked gsm) would work with different carrier LTE bands like at&t or t mobile.
Could anyone please advise??
Thanks in advance!

All north American s8/s8+ are the same, yes. Provided they are unlocked they will work on, and can even be easily branded as any major us carrier.
If it's a g950u it's unlocked.

[Q] Which model(s) are compatible with T-Mobile?

I know the N900T is listed as the T-Mobile version of this device. I am curious if I were to buy it fully unlocked (international) which variant is the most compatible with the North American T-Mo networks?
The other two I have been able to find are the N9005 and the N900W8, I don't know enough about the bands it has to cover to work with T-mo.

[Q] Galaxy S5 Canadian variants?

Hi Fellow Canadians,
Since there is a Canadian thread on M8 and G3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694297
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/canada-lg-g3-canadian-users-t2810696
but no S5
so, I'm opening this thread asking for help...
this is what i found:
Canadian Rogers Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8
Canadian Bell Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8
Canadian Telus Galaxy S5 SM-G900W8
but what model is Wind/Videotron/Mobilicity selling? is it the same one the big 3 are selling, OR just the kind with no LTE?
so far i'v heard unlocked big 3 s5 work on wind, but what about the other way around?
thanks
And the advantage or purpose of your thread is.. ?
Canadian carriers use the 900W8 variant as do some other regions e.g. Claro in Puerto Rico. The usual Oligarchistic suspects.. Bell, Telus, Rogers and their second tier brands e.g. Koodoo, Chatr, Fido, Virgin, et al are all W8 models. As are regional carriers such as SaskTel and Eastlink. The respective firmware versions for all of these Canadian carriers are mostly branding and interchangeable with respect to frequency band usage.
Wind models are also tagged W8, it's only the firmware that differentiates them. So the pretense of a unique model number as was done for the S3, etc has been dropped and it's just artificial firmware restrictions i.e. enabling the 1700 AWS band that distinguish the Wind variant.
Interestingly, TMobile also uses the 1700 band in their network, so the 900T will work on all Canadian carriers from Bell through Wind.

Is there a Latin American AWS 7.0 model?

I noticed Nokia has/had a few models made for the L-A market that also work well on T-Mobile and Canadian carriers. Is there a similar voice enabled 7.0 Tab 4?

[Q] how to use s5 in Korea and US?

help please! Does anyone know which version samsung s5 works in s. korea and in US? any provider is fine.. (verizon, att, tmobile)
I am not very familiar with bandwidth and cell receptions. any contribution will be appreciated:good::good:
I brought my S5 from Korea to the U.S. From what I remember of my research it all depends on the carriers you want to use here and in Korea. I have T-mobile in the states and used a 900L variant through LG U+ in Korea. The bands available in this phone allows me to get perfect LTE in Korea. However, since bringing it back in the states I only get partial coverage. I am only able to get 3G. It's not ideal in my situation, but I am not worried about it. I recommend trying to figure out the available variants in Korea and the US and see which bands overlap the most.

T-Mobile (G935T) or other variants running on AT&T

Hi,
I'm on AT&T and planning on buying an S7 Edge. I'm trying to look for a unit with a good price and don't care if it's a different variant but I'd like to know what I'd be missing by not getting the AT&T one (G935A):
1. If flashing the AT&T firmware on the T-Mobile variant (G935T) or any other (Verizon, Rogers, etc), will it work just like the AT&T one and will it activate all the LTE bands? or AT&T will still not recognize it as an AT&T one? any other AT&T feature that might be missing?
2.- Does the VoLTE and WIFI calling on AT&T works in any other S7 variant? I think I read is possible but root is needed.
Thanks!
I can verify that using the Verizon S7 and S7e works with AT&T firmware. All AT&T LTE bands including VoLTE and WiFi calling work. No root required.
I have tmobile S7e that I flashed the AT&T firmware on. It's running great and works great.
