Can flashing the stock ROM fix the constant boot loop? Odin flashing over 12 hours! - Samsung Galaxy On5 Questions & Answers

My phone went into boot loop, and the last thing I was doing on my phone was using an app that made my phone frozen. The boot loop is after I power on the phone, a pure white screen kept flashing with vibration every few seconds.
Taking off and putting on the battery didn't make it go away. Volume Up + Home + Power key combo doesn't bring up Recovery Mode screen. Volume Down + Home + Power key can bring up Download Mode.
Following some guides in this forum, I've downloaded Odin v3.12 and the stock ROM to try and get this Recovery Mode to open. Or I guess try to get a clean install of the stock operating system and then do data recovery with Windows software for the wiped data, since I'm limited in options.
Right now in download mode, I have a text line in black text background with red text color: SECURE CHECK FAIL: (PIT)
Odin log:

Re-partition fail..

I have bought I9505 absolutely bircked, cant get into recovery mode, phone is stucked on logo. Only download mode works. Few days trying to unbrick, but no luck. Ive tryied many tutorials for unbrick. Everytime i get "Re-partition fail", "fails", "There is no pit partition". Is there a chance to unbrick this phone? because i know only imei, serial number, product code, carrier and from where phone has arrived. on phone screen "secure check fail: pit".
We have a PIT file for the I9505 floating around the forums. Download it and a stock ROM from sammobile.com/firmwares, if you haven't already done so. Using Odin, plug in the PIT file and the ROM into the appropriate locations, then flash.
Already did this. Same errors. "Secure check fail: pit" its mos annoying error on phone screen.

You need to give us more details.
- Give us the complete Odin log

- If you are sure your usb cables are fine and it's not related to your pc.
- Do you use Windows 10 by any chance? Try using a Windows 7 pc.
- Make sure to try all the usb ports available.
But if all of that fails then it's hardware damage.
Flash a fully stock firmware with odin and let it reboot and do it's thing, it WILL get stuck in the bootlogo, don't worry about it, leave it for 10 minutes stuck or so. Then pull out the battery to turn the phone off, turn it back on while holding the volume up key (to enter stock recovery) and once you are in the stock recovery, do a factory reset there and reboot. Should boot up after a few minutes.
nexttry. Tested on two pcs its about 7 usb ports... And same pit error. Its necessary to get original pit like rom? -Ric- i cant flash because i get pit errors, odin and heimdall wont accept it. Have tried many pits.. Dont know what todo... But its strange that i tried just turn on phone without odin etc and after few mins on stuck logo it boots and get germany message about hard reset and there is button that i cant push. And than after minute it restars again and again. Problem is pit file..

If it's a new phone, get it exchanged. You'd have to replace the EMMC chip on the motherboard, which, if you don't have the tools, would make replacing the entire motherboard necessary.

UnRoot Not Working (Save Me Please!!!)

So a few months back I followed PSouza's guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039) to rooting the S7 Edge and everything worked perfectly. As of late, the phone has had many general performance issues and I decided today unrooting may be the best option for right now. So I cracked back open the thread and followed the instructions and low and behold, as always, something had to go wrong. For starters, Odin gives me a fail before it even really gets started (log below).

The phone itself gives a SW Rev check fail after that (in the download mode).
So I thought to myself I'd just keep it in the meantime and just restart it and use it for now, but low and behold I now can't leave download mode. If I restart regularly, I'm brought back to a software update failed screen, and if I switch to recovery mode (? vol up + home + power) I've wiped the cache partition as another forum suggested, but then going to reboot system now... That restart brings me right back into recovery. I currently have the phone off charger in hopes the battery dies and something changes then.
I'm also downloading the very very latest firmware update for the S7 Edge in hopes that maybe Odin will like it a bit better than this one (VZW_G935VVRU2APE1.zip).
Any ideas? Any solution that gets me a working phone again, I'll definitely make a donation to your PayPal! Thanks in advance for any help!
To anyone reading this having the same issue, follow the instructions in this post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71133959&postcount=27) worked like a charm.

Have you tried using smart switch? It is a PC app by Samsung which will automatically choose the correct firmware for you, flash it and also unroot your phone. It is the easiest way to do it.

The issue I was having was that Smart Switch wasn't recognizing my phone off the bat, and when I went to emergency recovery, it would say my serial number was incorrect so it wasn't useable for me.

Endless boot loop/no recovery mode

I tried to root my Sprint variant with Odin (Credo mobile is the carrier). Although Odin said it PASSED, the phone went into a boot loop. I tried the Sprint firmware to unroot it - Odin said it FAILED. If I hold Volume-up/home/power, I do not get a recovery menu, but just another loop, with "Recovery Booting" flashing in blue at the top. Held the buttons a long time, did everything over, etc. I can get to download mode, and the recovery mode loop, but nothing else. Suggestions?

Go into download mode and try flashing the firmware again. Tell us the error and I can try and help you fix your phone. By the recovery booting error, I assume you need the pit file to repartition your phone.
Here's the whole sad story, according to Odin:

im having same issue
please help
I had the same issue happened to me when trying to use Odin to flash my Galaxy S7 G930p
It would boot the very first Samsung logo in a shutdown restart and do it again repeatedly I then went back and downloaded a different firmware and it resolved the issue but now shows a unlocked padlock Below Samsung and says modified and I still don't have TWRP recovery installed but at least it fixed my boot.img I think you have flashed the wrong boot image to your phones both of you guys tell me the full model of your phone and firmware version and maybe I could help you resolve your phones
My Galaxy S7 g930p I have the Chinese version Qualcomm Virgin Mobile phone
Odin img TWRP recovery ? does anyone have the proper boot.img I need.
I'm the on android version 7.0 nauget.
Not the S7 Edge
Thank you much

Asking again for some help! I've spent 30 - 40 hours on this and getting nowhere :(

I've searched the heck outta this - and tried everything. I simply don't understand why I am getting nowhere. There is some fundamental thing I must be doing wrong but I don't know what.. I am sure that minds superior to mine can fix this.... I just need someone to take pity on me....
The phone is a SM-N900W8 (Bell Canada) that was completely stock running Android 5. After a battery pull, I got Set Warranty Bit : kernel error. Or if I try to get to recovery I get Set warranty Bit : recovery. I 'should' be able to flash stock ROM and fix, correct? Well, flashing stock ROM does not work. I tried flashing a TWRP too. Nothing. I tried flashing just a recovery or a boot, even tried flashing a N900T version (I read that works on my model too). I've tried latest Odin (3.13) or earlier versions (esp. 3.09, or 3.10). Nothing. It shows a pass in ODIN, but it's still not getting past these warranty bit errors. I can not get to any recovery...
The phone remains undaunted by my feeble attempts.
I'm using the original Samsung USB cable, attached to my motherboard ports (tried different ones too) and the ODIN downloads appear to load (I get the blue bar that increases across the screen). It reboots and then we're back to the error.
I have NOT tried ticking the re-partition box - is that the way to go? Isn't there a pit file contained in the stock ROM?
Should I be trying to flash using an image on the SD card?
Help me Obi-wan....
Here's a fix to where you are
I have exact same model and was where you are
Step 1 remove battery
Step 2 hold home button power button volume button
Step 3 continue holding all 3 buttons and put battery back in voila you get to recovery

That tends to read in Odin as Nand Write Fail .

No it did not.
I have not tried to re-partition (the box has not been ticked in ODIN) - would that be something worth trying?
No not without be 100% prepared for dead phone.
Repartition you really need to know what you are doing with PIT etc.

What is the Odin error in the log window when you try to flash Odin?
You are flashing the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com in Odin?

There was no ODIN error - it said "pass".
I was using the latest stock ROM from sammobile.com (bell Canada version for Ontario).
Try flashing again with a pit file. Without a pit file, you won't be able to re-partition.

Trying to flash in Odin causes s8 to reboot/drop out of Download mode

So adding the long details section, my s8 (SM-G950U Verizon) suddenly would not boot. I found that I could access the "Maintenance Boot Mode" with 4 options, 1 Normal Boot, 2 Factory Reset, 3 Safe Mode, 4 Power down.
1 and 3 just cause it to seem to reboot, but the android/samsung logo appears for half a second and the screen goes black and the LED in the top left stays solid blue. Factory reset just makes the screen go black and again the LED is blue. Shut Down seems to turn it off, but any reboot repeats the flashed logo, then black screen/blue LED scenario.
I found that I could get into Download Mode (Bixby + Vol- + Power) so after reading I figured that perhaps I needed to flash the ROM. I have downloaded Odin, and the current Verizon ROM (G950USQS5CRF5 July 12th 2018) but when I go to flash it, it appears to start, then after 1-2 files it seems like my S8 immediately shuts down (goes back to the black screen and blue LED again) and Odin loses it connection, and the flash fails (obviously) Here is what I see in Odin

Does anyone have any ideas, or perhaps another path I should take to see if I can get my s8 working again? Also of note, there was a trick where you start Odin, and have to immediately try to restart download mode or else it would fail, but that does not work. I have successfully restarted it during the process, and the s8 still just turns itself off/reboots once the flash tries to start again.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
