Bricked p10 lite - IOM3 image - Huawei P10 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have bricked my phone, cannot go into recovery to flash the stock recovery using the dd method and the only place i can go is fastboot.
In fastboot i meat a problem of FRP Lock wich prevents me from flashing the old recovery and using the dload update method.
Any ideas how to fix this?
My device: P10 Lite (WAS-LX1C432)

I watched a tutorial on dc phoenix and i saw that the update.app had cust in it...... i have 2 seperate update.app's ; one contains boot, system, etc... and one contains the Cust image...
Do you happen't to know where you can get the update.app that has both files in it?

Regarding Android N/EMUI 5.0 on L29

Changing thread to become updates on trying to 7.0 to work on L29
IGNORE:Has anyone tested the leaked Android N on an L29. It was confirmed that dload is not working. Has anyone tried fastboot
UPDATE:Tried flashing Boot Cust System and Recovery images from the new update.app. It flashed successfully with no errors. However, the device is currently stuck on "Device is booting"
Any Suggestions?
UPDATE 2:Went ahead and flashed the boot recovery and cust images from the update.app from L29C636B320 and i went through the device is booting screen. Currently on a black screen without a boot animation, waiting for something to happen. Tried a factory reset through the recovery and it failed. I'll let you know if it boots up
UPDATE 3: Noticed HiSuite being recognized, not sure how long its been there. Its been 15 minutes on black screen losing hope
UPDATE 4: Flashed back to B320 for now, @nakul has instructions to getting Nougat. Please refer to those. As of now I did not try it, I will when I have the time. Basically it's using dload after rebranding L29 as AL 10

Guys help us about the camera. I am in the same exact situation. @BadWolfYe and your product_V3 doesnt fix the camera for me, VNS-L21.
And for the recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...ecovery-twrp-3-0-2-android-nougat-03-t3511937 - use adb flash it.

You'll have to go the hard route. You'll find all the required files in the ROM section.
Download any Nougat.zip (329 worked for me, 336 did not). Unzip. You'll get the update.app.
Download the second file with all the missing apps. Do not unzip. Maybe rename to something shorter like data.zip.
Download Revolution Recovery for Nougat. Unzip. You get the recovery.img. RENAME to something like revolution.img.
Open update.app in Huawei Update Extracor. Extract recovery.img, boot.img and system.img to wherever your fastboot.exe is. It's practical to put it all in one directory so you don't have to type long paths.
Now, careful...
Go into Fastboot. If Vol- + Power doesn't work, let it boot into eRecovery, press Vol- and tap Reboot. There you are.
Open a command window in the dir with fastboot.exe and the .img files (right click, Open Command Window)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
.... OK
fastboot flash system system.img
.... sparse 1/5 or something, this takes a bit of time.
fastboot flash revolution.img
.... OK
Now DO NOT REBOOT into System. Hold Vol+ + Power while still in Fastboot. It'll boot into Revolution eventually. Tap Advanced, ADB Sideload. Swipe.
Back in your command window, type:
adb sideload second_file.zip
... working... this'll take a bit. There might be an error message like 'could not mount /data'. Doesn't matter at this point.
When done, type
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (this is the stock recovery you extracted from update.app)
... OK
Reboot to recovery from Revolution.
Do factory reset. Note: If you don't do this last step, there will be a bootloop.
Reboot. The system should now boot up normally. At least it did for me... good luck.

I did this too. Only way to fix it is to downgrade to MM (instructions are in the N install thread). I then unlocked the bootloader, booted to fastboot, flashed Meticulus recovery. Once you're here, the important thing is to flash the update.zip and appropriate .Zip file for your device. Took me a while to find it but Meticulus has a post in Spanish with all of them for each type of P9 lite - there's one for the VNS-L23 there. Flash the update.zip and then device zip (in that order) and reboot. It'll work.
This phone is harder to flash Roms than others I've had in the past... It's important to do things in the right order.
Here's the link I was referring to: http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1265029

First thing when you want to do something (TWRP, root, custom ROM etc.) with your phone is: UNLOCK BOOTLOADER!
Without unlocked bootloader is not hard to do, you not even try, because it is impossible...

You have to saved anywhere first time you have'it!
That is the first rule!
Once you debranded your phone that Device ID is change,
so even your phone boot ok and you obtain a Device ID is not the same
with the one saved in the Huawei databases...
So, procedure to obtain the bootloader unlock code is ended in error...

P9 Lite no ROM - how to fix this?

Hi,
i have a P9 Lite here where i flashed TWRP 3.0.2-0 and LineageOS. I just want another ROM and wiped the internal Storage, including system, data etc.
After this, i get an mount error while i tried to install the Elite ROM, so i decided to reboot and try it again.
Now, the TWRP starts up, but i have no screen on the P9 Lite, but "adb devices" shows me the device.
I also have tried to install TWRP 3.1.1 with the same result. Only the stock recovery gives an screen.
What can i do now?
I hope it's not bricked and i hope i can fix it with my only Linux System.
For any information, just ask.
Thanks a lot!
Maybe with DC Phoenix, in fastboot upgrade mode. I can give you my id and password if you want.

Yeah, fastboot is available!
OK, so first, go in fastboot mode, open a cmd fastboot and write "fastboot reboot Bootloader".
If your phone is locked : write : "fastboot oem unlock :your Bootloader code:
Then, download the rollback package MM, and flash the recovery of B160 update (huwaei extractor)
Then, flash the C432 oem info ( fastboot flash oeminfo oeminfodual.img), unlock your Bootloader again and flash the recovery TWRP .
After, you can flash your rom, I recommend C432 B160 MM.
Good luck!

Hi,
thank you for your Tutorial, but this does not work, or i do it wrong, so i repeat my steps:
- shutdown the p9 lite
- press vol- and plugin usb cable
- fastboot reboot-bootloader
- extract the UPDATE.app file, which i downloaded from huawei, this one: http://consumer.huawei.com/np/support/products/downloads/detail/p9lite-np.htm?id=93645
- i get the following files: crc.img, curver.img, efi.img, recovery.img, recovery2.img, sha256rsa.img, verlist.img, version.img
- i downloaded the oeminfodual from here: http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?p=23848404#post23848404, because it was not in the .app file from huawei
- fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (the one from the .app file from huawei)
- fastboot flash oeminfo oeminfodual.img
- fastboot oem unlock (which fails, because the phone already is unlocked)
- fastboot flash recovery twrp311.img, which i downloaded from the thread on xda.
after all this steps, the phone is still not loading the recovery.
did i anything wrong, or is the phone dead?
thanks!

[Question] Huawei P10 Lite stuck in "Huawei eRecovery" screen

Hello,
My Huawei P10 Lite is bricked (or not ...), but I can not boot the system.
After restoring a backup through TRWP, I always get the "Huawei eRecovery" screen and I can not start the android system. This screen should allow download a recovery but the connection always fails.
I am able to load *.img files throuth the fastboot, and with that I am able to load the TWRP recovery (if needed).
At this point the bootloader is locked, but I also have the unlock code. So it's not a problem.
After some research on the internet it seems that it is necessary to reinstall the stock recovery ... Is it the only way to recover the smartphone?
Does anyone have a stock recovery image?
Ideas?
My model is a WAS-LX1A (Portugal).
Thanks
Same here. same country, same model. Have you solved it?

Hello,
My Huawei P10 Lite is bricked (or not ...), but I can not boot the system.
Thanks

[Help] Noob trying to root Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31 (B239)

Soooooo, here it comes
Trying to root my Huawei P9 Lite VNS-L31 (Compilation VNS-L31C02B329), but I can't make it to boot from TWRP
Android 7.0 Nougat / EMUI 5.0
1 - Already unlocked bootloader
2 - Already installed all those Huawei Drivers / ADB and all sorts of things
3 - Already usb debug mode ON and also OEM unlock active
4 - Already used the adb flash recovery recovery.img
5 - After the steps above, rebooted device in bootloader recovery, but it never goes to boot TWRP, only to Erecovery Huawei
Can someone help me, step by step, how to make the system boots first to TWRP and skip Erecovery Huawei?
Many thanks
The command is fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

yes, sorry, I used this one, it even appears the the file being flashed to device, but the problem is when I try to boot it, goes all the time to erecovery, not to twrp thing. Is it possible to skip or change priority to make it boot twrp first?
What TWRP did you use?

I've tried a lot of them (3.0.2 was the last one, if I'm not wrong), but all seems not being working
I wonder if I'm not doing something wrong when restarting the device, maybe I'll try again some steps, but if someone here could give me an precise step by step and a 100% guarantee twrp file, maybe I could figure out what was wrong
Do you know someone whose cellphone is the same as mine?
Many thanks for your attention, I'll do my best to follow your instructions
