guys I'm wondering if anyone has this new A5 2016 mobile (SM-A510FD) same as mine with the 2 sims and sd card? and what is the difference between it and the SM-A510F model when it comes to firmware? cause in about device it's ending with FD

so plz interact so we can know what firmware to use or how to root later if needed

After doing some digging, I've found that the only differences between A510F and A510FD are the (CP, CSC) parts,
and according to GSMArena, A510F was released for the Europe market, While A510FD was released for the Southeast Asia market,
According to that info, You can flash A510F Roms on A510FD without CP, CSC parts, And vice versa.

Coz marshmallow update for SM A510FD is not out yet!!!

Yes you can flash the a510f russia firmware on a510fd ...
But make your before flashing you must be on july lollipop build
And for the safe side check on oem unlock under developer option ..
If you have indian model i m not sure about that because it have different baseband. Other than that middle east and africa model you can flash with the same old odin method .

HI i just bought this phone and it says model name GALAXY A5(6) , model number SM-A51FD it is the phone which samsung has launched in Asian market btw i am from INDIA and bought it from local samsung mobile dealer. I also checked that if there is an update for the firmware on sammobile but to my shock the model name is not listed there. Anyhow they update software option it showed that and update has been given for this phone right now i am downloading OTA update and i will post afterwards about the update if it is that of Marshmallow or not, new device comes with android Lollipop 5.1.1 .

India A5 2016 (SM-A510FD) already has Mashmallow via OTA.
So your phone will be running Mashmallow after all OTA updates. And yes SM-A510FD is not listed on sammobile , Samsung-updates and other samsung stock firmware websites but feedback from other users has shown that you can flash stock Samsung firmware for SM-A510F on SM-A510FD via Odin.

That is interesting that India has pushed out MM on the A510FD devices. FD is dual sim, where F is the single sim version(Western countries).
It would be interesting to know those who have flashed the MM of A510F rom's onto their A510FD devices, and still retained access to both sim's and sim manager application...

i'm on august lollipop build, can i flash MM Firmware without any problem?

Need Samsung a510FD (dubai) stock rom.
Guys can anyone just tell me the procedure to get my phone back to normal. Since i wanna update my phone karashmallow and am not a big fan of root as i dont use maximum functions. Please help me put guys

I personnally used Smart Switch (official Samsung software) to recover from a bootloop, it worked well. Might work for you too !

If I'm not doing any mistake, this means that I can flash the firmware for the SM-A510F for marshmallow if I omit the CP,CSC parts.
I tried to find a way to do it with the firmware found on CF-auto-root, to get my phone with the "normal" firmware just rooted, but I could'nt find any way to do so.
After trying a flash of this unmodified ROM with Odin (which bricked my device in a permaloop of SEANDROID crash, fortunately I recovered it with samsung smart switch), I did some research to understand what are CP and CSC, and as far as I understand, they are parts of the rom.
Am I supposed to do a partial flash ?
Or to build a rom mixing this one and those parts extracted from mine ?

I purchased my c9 pro and i see that my phone is of Chinese baseband..
I found the indian firmware and was hoping to change to that specific firmware ..
Current baseband : C9000ZCU1APK2

C9 Pro (C9000) Nougat Update, Just Bought Phone

Hello Folks,
So I just got my new C9 Pro, purchased through Amazon. Is this like my J7 Prime which is renamed On XT in Asia? I want to run Nougat, but I want to know if the Indian version is compatible.

No, these are two different variants, Indian version though released later C900F has got the update not C9000. Thats strange but true. I myself am having C9000 and waiting for the update, if you still want to upgrade try the custom roms available.

Very useful helpful thread this C9 Pro mobile still hasn't been launched in Pakistan, and sellers are selling C9 Hk and C9 Taiwan variant in Pakistan, and Samsung company has stopped now to make more C9 pro Indian variant in india so it will be helpful to whom who wants to use Indian and Pakistani firmware in C9 Hk variant because Indian and Pakistani firmware are same. ? thnxx

Hi .. Afaik, for the C9000 device whether it's hongkong (tgy) or it's chinese (chc) have all been getting system updates since last april month. Have you tried to check with your wifi network? Make sure the baseband version for your device first, whether it's from hongkong, or china! If you can verify it (check the firmware information in your device settings) from which region, then you can flash it manually via odin. Mine like this: C9000ZHU1BRC2 (For System Update to Nougat)-Hongkong Firmware (tgy). I hope this helps.
