Need help! Can't get pass Align Screen on Bootup

i've installed wm6.1, WM2004SE, then booted it up, but can't get pass the first align screen. i've pushed on the cross hairs but it just keeps on asking me to point some more.
I may have screwed it up when i force the pen on the pda screen it damaged the screen protector pretty bad. but when taken off the original face seems to be ok. and it was okay before i reflashed.
however i could not align the screen even before reflashing it.
What should I do?
Is there a way out of the screen align?
Thanks.
Anthony
[email protected] if u can email me too. otherwise i'll try to locate this thread again.
there is a way by placing a nowelcome file or something on the sdcard
but if one can't align the screen one can't use it for touch input at all
this is the reason why align screen autostarts
I found a link a while ago but not now, that will align your screen semi-properly and allow you to pass it without input. Search or ask in the Hermes forum. Some of their phones suffer a terrible screen alignment issues, so they found an application that blind people use to automate the process.

Does this work?
Thanks everyone, i've decided to just replace the touchscreen digitizer. now i got another problem, the cable that came with the touchscreen, well it seems i have to solder it on or something and use a piece of tape.
Quite small for someone who doesn't solder to try, so i'll probabl find an electrician and pay him to do it. hopefull he wont charge too much or messed up the xda ii.

HD2 Screen Cracked! :S

Hi guys,
I am from the Middle East and I just bought my hd2 locally for a slightly higher price, and now my internal LCD screen is cracked. It didn’t fall from my hand and I didn’t fall while its in my pocket, I just leaned on my car, nothing rough at all and the leather casing didnt protect it. Now somehow the external touch pad is not broken but the internal lcd has 2 horizontal cracks/lines, thus I can only control but can’t see, I was able to see half of my screen for a while but now I can’t see anything.
I contacted my local repair center for hd2 and they told me it’s going to cost a whopping 400$ to fix!
Now my questions:
Can I fix it myself with my own skills or should I save and pay half the phone price to fix it? Is it risky to fix by myself?
Should I buy both the external touch pad and the internal lcd screed from the internet or only the lcd screen (cheaper)? I read its hard risky to separate them.
Which parts to buy from the internet? How do I know if its original parts? anyone recommend a website?
Currently I have some important messages on my phone that I desperately need, I didn’t setup any kind of sync with pc before the crack and I have a phone lock code on. Is there any chance I can read my messages on my pc?
Thank you very much
Use the search function, there are a lot of threads regarding this issue, I am sure you'll have all your questions answered.
I wouldn't bother to try to do it yourself, you need specific tools and knowledge to do the job properly, and the parts aren't exactly cheap either.
I was in the same boat as you buddy Look at my Sig

N1 smashed LCD and digitizer (Sydney, Australia)

Hi I need to get my N1 fixed I love it.
all the glass is cracked , there is no light on its always all back screen.
Weird that the touch screen still works I can figure out how to dial digits and simple stuff cause i remember the location of the icons.
Is there somewhere i can get it fixed in Australia?
or has anyone had any experience buying all the parts and fixing it them selves?
Is it possible to get the phone to display on my pc so i can back up my contacts and check my messages etc.???
Thank you
Paul
Your contacts will be backed up via Google Contacts, so that's something you don't need to worry about.
The messages however, you're boned, unless you can figure out how to turn on USB debugging, install RemoteSMS via ADB and load it up.
Have a look here:

I've read of a lot of people fixing the problems themselves, you can buy the parts you need from ebay and give it a try. People end up with dust under their screens after doing it themselves. My oled screen just cracked :S don't know how, the glass and touch screen are fine, and here in nz it costs $50 for my local repair shop just to look at it and say hey the screens broken.. I will most likely be repairing it myself, luckily i've done 2 years study in electronic engineering lol lets hope it pays off

Need Help With Broken Screen

Hey all, havent been on here since I upgraded to a Dell product rather than my normal preference with HTCs but Im sure we have some knowledgeable people watching the Streak forum too. So heres the deal.. Dropped my streak while it was inside my Zagg case/cover from about 3 feet onto the floor. The screen no has a small crack and is barely sensing me touching it to unlock. First of all, I need to find a program to control the phone from my computer so I can save all my newer contacts to Google and whatnot, something like "My Mobiler," if anyone remembers that from Windows Mobile phones. Secondly, Im not to knowledgeable on how these screens work. I've never messed with a capacitive screen like this. Is there any way I can mess with the hardware to get it to function again? The crack in the glass is small, I wouldnt think the digitizer is messed up but like I said, I dont know. Can I tear it apart and maybe realign the digitizer or is it probably screwed? Thanks in advance.
