How do I get circular battery icon in our Xiaomi Mi A1? - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

I don't know how to customize the battery icon on top-bar (nav-bar?) of the screen? Can anybody help me to make it circular with percentage inside it. Its less convenient pulling down tiles to know the battery percentage.
I saw this appearing in GSMarena on 22nov 2017.

Magisk + Xposed + GravityBox

Gravitybox has the option to create that circular battery icon. You're going to need to install magisk + xposed for your device.
You can, however, make the battery percentage appear without magisk and xposed by enabling the SystemUI Tuner. To do that, swipe down once on the notification area then hold your finger on the settings icon for a few seconds. when you let it go after about 5 seconds the icon will wiggle and add the system UI tuner to your settings menu. Here you can enable percentage display.

You can firstly install magisk > xposedframework module (on magisk) > xposed installer (apk file) > gravitybox or flat style bar indicator module (on xposed installer). I recommend you go with Flat style bar indicator, this application has many features for modifying statusbar (not only battery icon).
P/s: Sorry for my terrible broken English!

I think all of the above options require root, is there any way to do it without root/custom rom? Correct me if I'm wrong.

The systemUI tuner option does not require root, but the icon will be shaped like a battery, not a circle.

Circular icon is the priority, so it won't work. Also battery icon with percentage inside it looks ugly.
Will I get official software updates if I follow your procedure of xposed+magisk+gravitybox?

Hello,
it makes multi "force close" after installation (Clock, EMail, Google Framework). My rom is Void Delta. Come back with my backup of framework-res.apk and all is working well now.

this one is not for Void ROM, it's for the stock 2.2.2 ROM, so an FC is inevitable
@teh_1: how can you theme the battery, and can you change the notification bar's color to black?

I just changed the battery icons from the framework-res.apk.
I tried to change the notification bar's color but the phone crashed after installing that mod, probably editing the status_bar.xml (the file that has the settings for the date and time font color) in 2.2.2 isn't the same as editing the 2.2 one (values may be on different lines or labeled differently)
Is it possible to have a mod with the % text, but with the normal battery instead of the circular one?

Definitely. I can't point one for you, but the #alpha version of the void ROM had such a battery icon (normal battery icon, percentage written inside without the % symbol), therefore it must be possible.
can i use it on nessy rom 2.2.2
no this does not work with nessy found out the hard way haha. starts to load but then reverts back to the boot animation.
maybe someone can help i mounted the phone through recovery and used droidexplorer to drop the file into /system/framework/
any help is MUCH appreciated

Everything smaller after uninstalling xposed framework

Hi, I ran into a strange problem while doing some modifications to my phone earlier today. While trying to address another minor problem that my phone was having, I decided to try to reinstall my xposed framework to see if I could fix the problem. However, after flashing the uninstall zip file using TWRP, when my phone booted back up, everything on my screen had become... smaller. Not just my icons, but the size of the the notification bar and things like the size of my system's text. I immediately went into and searched through all of the settings that I could find, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary (e.g. it said my font was already at 100% and condensed mode was off, and no luck either in my nova launcher settings). I re-flashed the xposed framework to see if it would fix the problem, but it remained even after reinstalling. It's honestly a minor issue, but I'm tearing my hair out because of it x(. I'm hoping that there's a solution that's right in front of me but I just can't seem to find ;A;
I'm using a Galaxy S7 Edge (international ver, so G935F) on Android 6.0.1 and the xposed framework that I'm running is v85.1 sdk23 arm64 by wanam.
Here's a comparison of how my screen looked before and after all this happened:

I think the problem is your DPI.
Navigate to settings>display>display scaling.
If your selected option is condensed, set it back to standard and reboot your phone.
I don't know how flashing the xposed framework changed it, but that's beyond me.
Good luck.

Thanks! It was not set to condensed, but after switching it to condensed and then back again it seems to have fixed the problem

[App][Hydrogen/Helium][6.0.1][MIUI7.5.1.0] Change 4G Icon for All Android

Okey, this articles is remind me when i'm interest to change 4G icon on my Android Mi Max 1 Prime Helium statusbar.
Perhaps it'll be difficult things to edit and change some 4G icon on Res folder from SystemUI.apk located in root folder -> System -> Priv-app -> SystemUI.
And probably not all 5G icon from Magisk Module will compatible for all android devices, specially for Official Stock ROM from device manufacturer.
This tips must have Root and Xposed Framework installed, and compatible for all android devices.
And i still recommended must have Magisk installed.
To avoid bootloop after reboot, using Magisk Module Bootloop Saver Protector.
Okey, here we go...
Minimum requirement:
- Android 6.0.1 (Please use at your own risk if you use bellow, but it still compatible without Magisk).
- Magisk Manager.v20.4 or above version.
- Bootloop Saver Protector Installed from Magisk.
- Xposed Framework Installed from Magisk.
- Flat Style Bar Indicators Pro (Please download from Xposed Module Repository).
Here's step:
1. Your device must Root and Magisk installed.
2. Install Bootloop Saver Protector from Magisk.
3. Instal Xposed Framework from Magisk.
4. Please download and install Flat Style Bar Indicators from Xposed Module Repository.
Here's link: Flat Style Bar Indicators
Here's how:
1. I assume you has done with all step from above.
2. Please open Flat Style Bar Indicators Pro that you has done download and install from PlayStore.
3. No need to change anything, just click to open Mobile Data from Indicators menu.
4. Click to open Connection Type Text from Mobile Data menu.
5. At the Connection Type Text menu bellow, please click Add from Mapping menu.
6. From here you can change all Network Icon as you wanted.
7. After you click Add from Mapping menu, there'll be show the 2nd Mapping menu to write network icon based from your network device.
8. For an example: From 4G to 5G, then click Apply.

All credits for all developers.
Thanks to Topjohnwu for Magisk.
Thanks to HuskyDG for Magisk Bootloop Protector.
Thanks to Rovo89 for Xposed Framework.
Thanks to Ibocharov for Flat Style Bar Indicators.
PS: I beg you pardon me, if my english language are really bad. I'm just want to share my knowledge for all android and Mi Max 1 Prime Helium end user

Depending on how it was implemented by the manufacturer it may be possible to use Androids integrated System UI tuner and its status bar settings.
You can access it via developer options or by using an app like this:
System UI Tuner - Apps on Google Play
Shortcut to the hidden System UI Tuner tool in Android 9 and newer.
play.google.com
Thanks but I tried it didn't work .
Then you have to life with the logo because the status bar customizing is placed in Android framework related files you can't replace easily.
Can't I access system files and delete png? This ad is making me very uncomfortable.
I don't know your unit so I can't tell you how to access file system in write mode.
I expect the logo is placed inside one of the basic jar files in framework folder on system partition.
Theoretically it would be possible to replace it with a fully transparent png but I (maybe) can only help if you somehow manage to get full system access.

be careful. read the instructions and get a complete DUMP. There is also a scatter file and test points if you get a brick. It is a warning that these units do not work with the SP Flash tool for more than 5 minutes. There may not be time to upload the new firmware. Be aware of that. Let us know how you progress
