Hi! I've received, for different months, an OTA update about one per month. However, it's since October that I haven't received any update, even if I know we're now at B613/614.
My model is ALE-L21 C432 and I'm currently running B609 firmware version. Is there any way to "force" official OTA updates?
Or, if I have to download the update manually, which version should I choose? I thought odd versions were for single-SIM models, but some posts says that the version B611 (e.g.) is for dual-SIM models. Did things changed? The app Firmware Finder, indeed, highlights the B612 (an "even version") as the only one compatible with my B609 firmware version, but I don't understand.

works,I tested in my dual sim ale-l21(b610 update to b612 ota version) and works! :laugh:
b611 is for single sim
b613 also
b612,b614 dual sim

FF highlights all version for ale-l21
I mean, when I click "check fw access", FF says the version accepted for upgrade is B612 (even if now I'm running B609).
Other versions give me an error message.

choose manually alel21c432b611 ota
Im confused. Are the uneven numbers for single sim and the even for dual?
And from what I understand the OTA are useless so you need a full package.
I have single sim so how oh dear God do I install the latest firmware (I think B619) ?

Just got a P8 Lite delivered from Carphone Warehouse UK. Its an unbranded unlocked model.
It states model number - ALE-L21 and the build number is - ALE-L21C432B133
I assume its an older version but there is no OTA available for it. Not sure if this is the dual sim EU version or not. Which version should I use to update? Any reason why no OTA or is it because its on an older version and it's missed it?

ALE-L21C432B133 It's Europe single sim, latest update is B171 or B183.
Use anything you want to update, just follow the correct procedure (on XDA u can find it all)

Don't see why the latest is not available via OTA though? Even with HiSuite it says latest is installed (B133)

You need the branded one from vosdafone to update, or follow a guide to debrand then use the one you like.

Can't help as thought the phone was rubbish after just 4 hours of use so sold it already and got a 2015 Moto G instead.

I need ur opinion about region's OTA as far as I know many users have updated from B160-170 to android 6. But how about B199 is it possible to update without any risk? or should I wait for official release?

There are no risks. You can download any official update from any country and install them via local update.
But you need to be on b170(ds)/b171(ss) in order to update to b550/b551/b560.
My phone also can with b181(5.1.1 - vodafone romania) and i had to downgrade to b049 then upgrade to b171 then upgrade to b551.

That's actually not true. you can upgrade from higher but you have to do a local update.
for the B170 (dual sim) got for the b560
for the b171 (single sim) go for the b551

Also, not all the versions are suported for upgrade to mm, that's why i said 170/171 is fully suported.

Is there anyone from Macedonia who has received official OTA update for Nougat for model L21 C432B161? I'm on VIP sim card and still have no update, but in the region Huawei users already entire week receiving OTA.
What can be the problem?

I am from Macedonia and also using VIP and I haven't received the update but I installed it using Firmware Finder app and its full OTA so if you want Nougat then you CAN try with the FF method.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone would know which region my P9 lite (L21) belongs to because I still haven't received the 7.0 Nougat update and is it safe to update to C432B370 using Firmware Finder? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
Europe. I don't know if 370 is the dual sim card version or single version tbh
My Version is Europe 3GB RAM, VNS-L31C432B370 Dualsim.
I think VNS-L21 is the 2GB RAM one.

Yeah, mine is the 2GB RAM model. But according to most people European models have recieved Nougat on both models. Did you recieve it via OTA or push the update using Firmware Finder?
I haven't recieved it either here in Greece, don't worry, we'll get it, I hope.

A lot of people still havent got the update,but it is completely safe to update now,either via twrp or firmware finder,just make sure the update is at least 1.99 GB

I pushed the update official via HiCare App, and then it was available under updater App. The pakage was about 1,99GB. I'm using it about two Month now and i can't find one single bug.
Hello. I have a WAS-LX2 4GB ram dual sim version and region code is C185.
I'm on the emui 5.1 b186 firmware after rolling back with hisuite a few months ago. I want to update it to oreo which is b360 but huawei software update on the phone and hisuite says latest version is already installed and on firmware finder for Huawei it says the firmware was likely removed from the server.
Is there any way to get the WAS-LX2 8.0.0.360(C185) firmware? It was 2.49GB if I remember correctly. Thanks.
