Xiaomi Mi 5c-Root problem - Xiaomi Mi 5c Questions & Answers

Hello to everyone in this forum!
My name is Erion, i live in greece and i own Xiaomi Mi 5c.
After a lot of failed attempts(infinite) i ended up in this forum seeking for help because i have heardthe best for you!!!
My problem is that i cannot root my xiaomi mi 5c. Why?
Here's everything i have done and i know:
1. At first when i bought the phone i tried rooting my phone.(i searched A LOT on how to)
My problem was that i coudn't flash supersu root or magisk because there was a mount problem and none of my files were shown to my phone.
Common issues:
TWRP, asking for password to mount
Internal Storage listed as (0MB)
Unable to mount '/data'
This somehow resulted in(by me) : China stable rom(no google play),
BUT
Finally after 2 months a miracle happened. I searched on youtube and ended up having multilanguage rom, fixed internet connection and without the ABOVE common issues.
Finally my LAST(hopefully) problem!
After flashing SuperSU and then rebooting my phone reboots to fastboot mode and it gets stuck. :crying: :crying:
I tried something:
I went again to recovery from fastboot installed the same rom i had installed and rebooted.
IT rebooted succesfully without anything missing but without root!
Please help me by giving an end to this tortury...
Best regards,
Erion

unable to root redmi 2 prime 7.5.2.0 lollipop

recently i got an update from redmi about a new software with lollipop so i happily updated my phone from kitkat to lollipop (miui 7.5.2.0) but after updating i was unable to root my device.
i searched many places even i used this software to root "en.miui.com/thread-223314-1-1.html "
but i failed because what happens is after rebooting the mi logo shows up and even after 30 mins there is no progress. so it seems like bootloop but basically this is no bootloop as when i take out my battery and then reinsert it and restart it phone it starts and works fine. but i want to root it
please some senior expert or any developers kindly help me
Flash Custom Recovery Like TWRP..
en.miui.com/thread-228118-1-1.html
Then reboot into recovery and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from official site..
download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
Work for me..Hope work for you also..
Facing the same problem but still don't get any solution
Same here. I installed the MIUI8 Global Developer ROM and lost the TWRP recovery. The Phone is rooted but not able to re-install TWRP by any means. :/
I heard that Flashing the Fastboot ROM of the smartphone and reverting to MIUI Kitkat is helpful. I am downloading the MIUI 7 Kitkat Fastboot ROM.
Will inform you about the results!

CONFIRMED! If your Redmi is not rooting, then Revert to the MIUI 7 ROM. Flash the MIUI7 Kitkat ROM via Fastboot and then try to Root it. Everything will be fine. I Tried this and it worked.

Bricked my phone pretty bad

Hello everyone!
A few days ago I bought myself a P10 plus on a vacation to China. Since I live in Sweden I decided to rebrand it to the European firmware (since it had the asian firmware installed) through FunkyHuawei when I got home. I got my bootloader code from Huawei support and succesfully unlocked it as well as installed TWRP. The first problem I encountered was that I was unable to create any backups of my phone as well as being unable to install or flash anything.
I then restarted my phone into recovery mode and suddenly it didn't boot into TWRP anymore, only EMUI stock recovery. I tried flashing TWRP several times but the phone still wouldn't boot into it, so I tried factory resetting the phone and the flashing TWRP once again. This is where the real problems started.
The firmware is gone, no OS is installed, I cannot do anything through TWRP (i only get error messages such as "E:Unable to find partition size for /boot" as well as Failed to mount /cache (Invalid Argument)")
Even worse is that the bootloader wont load as far as i can tell so I can't do anything through adb nor fastboot either. I'm completely stuck in TWRP. I can't even wipe nor change file system.
Is my phone damaged beyond repair or is there anyone on here that might have a solution?
Thanks in advance, any suggestions welcome!
EDIT: Okay this is really weird...
Suddenly my phone booted into the OS, even though TWRP said there were no OS installed. What is the next step from here to ensure this won't happen again?

You should see if you have the UFS memory or eMMC.
If you have eMMC version the current available TWRP is not working.
I made a testing version for TWRP that works on eMMC and was able to rebrand from China to International.
PM me if you need anything..
So i've gotten my phone working again (with the chinese ROM) but since TWRP won't work there's no way for me to rebrand it. My phone has eMMC 5.0 if that's any help.

Motorola G2 XT1068 problem after flashing omni

Hello, i decided to open new thread because I nowhere find solution. My problem is that after flashing my moto g2 with omni 6.0.1 it get stuck on warning message (about unlocked bootloader). Now I can only get into bootloader menu, connect phone to PC (it's showing dewice as motorola dadb interface),I can only flash twrp using fastboot (fastboot boot twrp.img) and that's it. I can not flash anything permanently to the phone: any custom recovery, any rom, can't fix it with logofix. It just look like phone doesn't accept any flash. I tried also to change boot and other img but with no succes, always after any operation when I reboot phone it's get to warning message.
My phone is motorola 2G xt1068, 8gb, bootloader ver 48.87. Once I tried to flash it with retail rom from sd card via twrp 3.8.0.1 it shows that previous system was omni-titan 6.0.1 and retaildsdsall can not be flash, always shows error 7.
I wonder if I can flash it with upper version of omni: 7.0.1 to fix the problem with booting the phone.
If You could give me any advise how to solve the problem, I would be very appreciate.
Waitng for your reply Guys.
After a lot of tryes I found that anythig I do on the phone after restart it's getting to the same state, even if I manually deleted folder "Firmware", after reboot it's going back. When I prepared Moto for installing new rom using Philz recovery, all the data stay on it's place ( I mean private data like thumbnails in DCIM folder etc), nothing dissapeared. It's look like it have some copy of the system in internal storage and always after rebooting it's recovering it back, even if the system is flashed by new rom.
Have U any idea what's wrong with this phone?
Additinally I found that a lot of internal memory is busy: over 4500MB and free is only 780MB. Even after wiping everything, also formatting system.Should it be like this?
Edit: 2018-02-15
Ok, if noone could help me let's treat it as a blog.
Digging in google I found spanish site with a lot of custom roms for motorola. Now I'm trying one by one till I found the right one.
It's a pitty that Father's of the omni rom leaving me lonely in that situation, I think that they are the best of source of informations about that rom.
2018.02.19
I tried to install OmniRom 6.0.1 Homemade but on the beginning I had the infothat installation failed with error 7. So I found the solution to change the information in meta-info folder.I did it but when instalation started after "symlinkig" it stopped with error: some symlinks failed, error 7. And again I stucked.I feellike I'm very close of the solution but I need help. I'm using twrp 3.2.1.0 running via fastboot (boot twrp.img).

Help, phone softbrick or anything, can't use, no rom running (even stock)

Hi, I need help
I have tried to install so many ROM's in my MI A1, I have tried Lineage, AOKP Extended, RR, Pixel Experience, Stock via MiFlash and others.
The matter is, simply I can't use my phone, I think it's because when i had the stock rom, i had magisk, and i didn't uninstalled it ( modules and magisk).
At the beggining everytime i tried to flash, TWRP always threw me errors like " E:recv error on uevent" "Unable to mount /system (invalid argument)" "Unable to mount /system ( Permission denied)" "Unable to mount /data"
Solved it using an update of twrp recovery of MohanCM
-Now the thing is that, even if I flash stock versions via MiFlash, it boots to system but reboot again, like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YcWsWYQVGQ
- And If i try a custom ROM, anyone, It can't go through boot animation.
I want my Mi A1 back, please help me
I hope to you to answer me as soon as you can, i tried my best to write this the most understandable possible.
P.D: I tried with the tutorial where that video came from, it didn't worked.
And tried with stock images from
- 2017.12.29
- 2018.01.10
-2018.02.26
- And the latest on MIUI forums
All the packages says "tissot_images", maybe i am missing firmware or something?

I will try with QFIL, i hope it works too, and if it's my last option i will do my best.
Btw, I live in Chile, Idk if it's any Xiaomi service centre here, but i will look for any.
Again, thanks
Download 7.8.23 firmware, find persist.img file in it, use "fastboot flash persist persist.img" to flash it.

Oneplus 6T recovery bootloop after 11.1.1.1 (rooted)

Dear friends,
I have a recovery bootloop problem with my Op6t European version.
On this week I made an OTA update (11.1.1.1 version) with magisk app. I made with install to inactive slot (after OTA) version.
After this process my phone was reboot and got a recovery bootloop. I have never been in this situation although I made more update with this process.
After that I tried to make wipe cache and reset system settings but it was not succes.
I tried to read forum threads where somebody also has this problem. I found a thread where somebody use fastboot and change slot to use phone temporaly. It's also working for me on but I would like to repair that.
Can I get back my old system with my data? How can I make some solution?
Sorry for my bad english.
UPDATE:
Yesterday I tried to reflash the stock rom with adb sideload , but absolutely does nothing in this case.
I am also having this issue. Can someone point me in the right place for a fix?
